Really nice ring, but the pixelation on it is a bummer.
All I see are pixels. Even on my screen, everything is pixels, all the time.
lololol
%&*%^!!!
😉😁😂🤣
Spot on!
Hahahaaa
The level of your castsmanship never ceases to amaze me! WhamBam me 👍👊
Many thanks - and you're in the Giveaway draw 😁
WHAMBAM ME! Thank you for all the helpful and informative information you provide, especially around the DLP printers. I knew very little about them until you educated me on all their advantages. I am now VERY tempted to acquire the D2 as soon as possible! You are truly a scholar and a gentleman, and I very much appreciate your helpful insights in all things 3D printing and metal casting! Thank you!
Many thanks. You're in the Giveaway draw 😁
You sir, is a godsent. Whambam me!
I just started to learn about a 3d printer, to print the face scans for the family and some miniatures.
It’s an understatment to say that it is quite overwhelming to learn a new tech.
Your videos are helping me a lot. And while this might mean nothing to else, the subtitles helps me a ton to gather the informations.
And I know for sure that is some extra works.
Anyway, thank you for being there. I got a recommendation for Anycubic D2 from my friend, and I guess it is the way to go. It may be quite a unnecessary prize for a beginner for me, but I guess I’ll have to see.
Again, thanks a lot! Have a nice day (or night), and I wish you only the best for the test of the month, and year!
Those pixels look amazing in the metal cast! 😉
You're in the Giveaway draw 😁
Hello VOG, I"ve found that the white patches on my resins aren't from the curing process but from IPA still on the surface of the model reacting with the glycerin. See if the patches persist if you let them dry an extra 20 mins or so between the steps. It works on the EC200 anyway, so I suspect it will for syratech too. Cheers!
Interesting... I'll have to try that. 😁
I thought the same for the longest time. Then I let it dry completely after the wash. I havnt had that issue in months now.
Wham Bam Me! Thanks for sharing all that can be done with this printer and techniques. Amazing quality.
The detail in that casting is amazing! Beautiful design.
Many thanks 😁
I'd be curious to see a non-'castable' resin burned our and cast side by side with 'castable' resin. In my jewelry class years, we used all sorts of rubber/plastic cut from kids toys and display models combined with castable wax and other nonsense to make our molds and it burned out just fine then. I can't imagine non-'castable' resin would be much different of a scenario.
not every resin is burnable because of the changes in chemical composition when heated like that it could be dangerous.
The model looks like it had detail on all parts of the ring including where you attached the sprue. Would there be merit in attaching the sprue to the inside of the ring's face to try to preserve all of the detail?
That is the way you are supposed to sprue it. He doesn’t have any casting experience
Absolutely, yes, but this is just a bronze replica that will never be worn. I have limited time available to make these videos so speed and convenience are more important than perfection. As a side note, this ring is incredibly difficult to cast as the designer has also covered the inside of the band with decoration as well, meaning there's no one safe spot for the sprue 😁
I'm not sure I'd say I have "no casting experience" as of course I've cast probably 100 items or so now. However, I have no formal training and would say I'm 99% self taught.
As for the sprue position, check my videos. You'll see occasions where I've sprued to the inside of the band. On this occasion I chose the convenience of an easy print to save time.
WHAMBAM ME!
Great to see that it works with any Resin that was one of the biggest question I had since the first one was out.
Anycubic is really pushing for 3d printing's downside to be reduced as much as possible.
We have no screen issue with the projector, the odor is out with the filters and if you confirmed it works perfectly with water washable resin then IPA is out as well.
Great video as always keep up !
You're in the Giveaway draw 😁
Always learning something new from these videos, adding looks fantastic and congratulations on the new bucket
Thanks 👍
Thanks very much for all of your informative and highly educational reviews, you've helped me massively in making the decision to take the plunge and buy myself the AnyCubic Photon Mono X 6K for my first ever Resin printer! Í've only used filament printers previously, so I'm really looking forward to exploring all the new possibilities that Resin has to offer! Definitely wouldn't mind if you would kindly WhamBam me, I could definitely use some quality supplies now that I am to embark on this new 3D-printing adventure! Cheers from Sweden!
Enjoy Resin my friend. You're in the Giveaway draw 😁
@@vogman Thank you so much! And thanks for taking the time to read and respond to my comment! :D
I ordered a Photon Mono X 4k a few days ago, supposedly getting here tomorrow. I didn't think the 16 micron difference was big enough to justify twice the price since the 4k is on sale currently.
A Wham Bam product would change my printing world. Awesome giveaway. Cool channel.
WHAM BAM ME!
Great work as always. Also, the sheer joy when you told us about your new bucket was a delight to behold :P
A great model and demonstration of a wonderful ring sculpt. The WHAMBAM ME plates are quite awesome.
You're in the Giveaway draw 😁
Whambam me. After watching your videos for a while now I've finally bit the bullet and a resin printer. And I've got to say I'm loving it cheers VOG.
Glad to hear it. You're in the Giveaway draw 😁
I had my reservation about the D2 from the last two videos, but WOW the details are super crisp in that cast. Great job. Whambam Me!
You're in the Giveaway draw 😁
WHAMBAM ME! The level of detail the D2 can print is mind boggling 😳. I’ve been printing using a sonic mini and mighty 4K for a couple years now. It’s truly amazing what I see the community using this technology to create at such a low entry price and skill level.
It amazes me how quickly the technology develops. You're in the Giveaway draw 😁
Lovely casting setup, the vaccum chamber is
WHAM BAM ME👌
Great work! Cant wait to try and replicate this process one day.
Great stuff, I love your work! I'm very inspired to begin creating and casting, myself thanks to you ✌
Glad to hear it!
Those pixels are beautiful!
You're in the Giveaway draw 😁
Wham Bam me ! Very insightful video, sold me on the D2. Thank you my friend.
It's a great printer. You're in the Giveaway draw 😁
A truly amazing result Geoff! I think the debate is settled over the best (affordable) resin printer for fine detail work. Great job mate!
Thanks Dan. I have to be honest, the D2 really is impressing me... 😁
This looks amazing! I'm new to the 3D printing world, and now VOG making me wanna learn casting too haha
3D printing is just great fun 😁
It's mainly your videos that has made the urge to get a resin printer grow and grow! Thanks for all great videos, good work! Whambam me😁
Thanks Leo. You're in the Giveaway draw 😁
Wham Bam Me, i really like the way you present this cast and very nice D2 print. Thank you
Thank you too! You're in the Giveaway draw 😁
Whambam me!
Thanks for this professional casting video! Love it!
Congratulations on your birthday!
The results are great! Im looking into buying a 3D Fluid Printer. This seems to be the sort of results im looking for!
Greetings,
Jeff
Thanks Jeff 😁
To summarize - some level of pixelation on the print is there, but casting and plaster imperfections and cleanup process completely hides all that. Thus for casting purposes one can skip messing with antialiasing as there's no point.
Thanks a lot for sharing! For some reason this is the only review of casting with D2.
Can't wait to get my first resin printer! Thanks for all your input!!! WhamBam Me ! Melt Happy Pour Safe!!!👍😎
Thanks Bart. You're in the Giveaway draw 😁
WHAMBAM ME!
That's some insane level of detail!
Every time I watch your resin casting videos, I’m one step closer to building a furnace 😂 I’ve been eagerly waiting for Wham Bam to ship to the UK since Brexit, would love to finally get a slap mat and flexible build plate! WHAMBAM ME!
You're in the Giveaway draw 😁
Great casting! I'm happy to see that Siraya Tech Cast works well on the D2 with some tweaks to the settings 😁
Yes, any 405 wavelength should. But some will always be better than others. That's the nature of resins. 😁
Whambam me!!
Thanks for testing the D2 on more scenarios mate.
Definitely going to upgrade from my anycubic photon se for this.
LCD screens had its place, but I do believe DLP will become more popular in future due to the screen longevity, lower power consumption, and clarity mentioned in your previous D2 mini review video.
Thanks again
I so too. I asked the Mandalorian and he said, "This is the way."
You're in the Giveaway draw 😁
Wham Bam Me. Love watching your stuff. Just amazing work.
You're in the Giveaway draw 😁
I am honesty considering getting a d2 thanks to your videos. WhamBam me!
Man I really want to get into this one day, it looks so satisfying and those results are amazing.
Unfortunately it takes time and money, but so does every hobby I guess. 😁
Whambam me! Man I need to get me a D2. I recently have become obsessed with the idea of printing, molding and casting custom polyhedral dice. This thing would really make them look just *chef's kiss*
You're in the Giveaway draw 😁
I've ordered this printer for myself after watching your previous glowing review!
Also, WhamBam Me!
You'll love it. You're in the Giveaway draw 😁
love the content. your humor is on point as always haha
So fine detail! I'm very impress with that printer! WhamBam Me.

Just started printing SLA for a week on the Anycubic Photon M3 and I'm excited!! It'd be great to get a Wham Bam flexible build system to make demolding a breeze.

WhamBam Me 😁
Great printer.
Few months ago I had to choose my first resin printer. I wanted Ultra (DLP), but in the end, just to learn the resin process first and see if working with resin will work for me, so I've chosen Mono 4k hoping for new generation of Anycubic DLP or maybe Elegoo DLP soon.
And here we are, D2 is here, so soon or later (rather soon 😉) I will switch to D2.
Big thx for you for all the reviews and comparisons.
It helped me a lot in my choices.
The Mono 4K is a perfect start. It's a great printer... but yes, the D2 is waaaaaay better 😁😁😁
You're in the Giveaway draw 😁
That casting looks amazing! I had no idea lost reading casting could do such amazing details.
Just a bummer about the pixelation.
Also whambam me baby!
You're in the Giveaway draw 😁
@@vogman No swearing for my pixelation comment? lol
Also - the D2 looks amazing, I saw your last two videos about it and really wish someone local had stock (Shipping here is pretty pricey)
Sorry Richard. I've been swamped with comments with this video. Wham Bam are clearly very popular.
Please consider yourself sworn at profusely 😉😁😂🤣👍👍👍
Found you recently when I was looking for advice/info on 3d printing mini's... I was deciding between a cheaper but good elegloo or get the 8k mini but I think now ill end up going with a d2. Your rock Wham bam me
Whambam me!
I like how you differ from the rest of the 3d printing guys as your humor is always spot on, and you also create more exotic stuff like die casting.
Thanks Christian. You're in the Giveaway draw 😁
Your videos are so informative and thoroughly enjoyable. Thank you!
I have been looking for a 3D printer to get creative with and I think I just found the perfect 1. WHAMBAM ME!
My D2 already arrived within a week of ordering on launch, but I have to finish setting up again (an old hand in large prints but had a long 6 month break while waiting on the Jupiter and taking the opportunity to upgrade some things, I built a printing shed with LED lighting and everything) to get started, I have hundreds of prints planned haha I'm gonna use up those 20k hours! I also found some biodegradable nitrile gloves so that's pretty awesome.
Excellent. 😁
Beautiful casting! Also want to second what I saw in another comment, letting the IPA fully evaporate seems to eliminate the ‘white residue’ look. I’ve been letting prints dry for 30 min after the final IPA rinse and the white bits have fully disappeared. Finally, whambam me please!
Amazing quality on this budget
The D2 is VERY impressive 😁
Wham bam me! Great video, it really makes me want to consider the photon d2.
This is an incredible video! I can’t wait to start doing this. WHAM BAM ME!
Thanks Peter. You're in the Giveaway draw 😁
I'm getting my first resin printer in the mail tomorrow, I've been watching a ton of your videos to try and figure out the best way to start out, and one of those splash mats looks pretty handy so whambam me
You're in the Giveaway draw 😁
You are making it very, very hard to resist purchasing one of those DLP' printers and/or an investment station :)
Sorry 😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁
Love your vids, hopefully one day I'll get a resin printer and give this a shot. I've been sandcasting casting aluminum with fdm patterns before but the detail with sla is great. WhamBam me
It was a great video. The level of detail is amazing on both the print and cast. Keep going!
WhamBam me
Many thanks. You're in the Giveaway draw 😁
Amazing stuff VOG. Mine gets delivered either Monday or Tuesday! Cannot wait :D :D :D
You'll love it.
WHAMBAM ME | My D2 arrived (partially purchased based of your videos) a few days ago, but alas Anycubic isn't sending the AirPure, or the Wash/Cure Station included with the bundle until closer to the end of the month... Using the time to reorganize my printing setup, really familiarize myself with the process, and enjoy more of your excellent content. Cheers!
Enjoy it. It's a great printer. You're in the draw 😁
The D2 is definitely going to be my next printer. Love the crispness and lack of layer lines.
Wambam me.
Good choice! We all do it. You're in the Giveaway draw 😁
Whambam me! Just bought my first 3D printer, the first edition Ultra and it is amazing. Thanks for all your videos, it helped me a lot in getting my first prints out of the printer.
I still love my Ultra 😁😁😁
You're in the Giveaway draw 😁
The detail is incredible! Nice job as always! Whambam me👍🏼
You're in the Giveaway draw 😁
Whambam Me Fam! I've been eyeing off that slap matt FOREVER.
You're in the Giveaway draw 😁
Whambam me! The D2 looks so good. I just got the M3 max so it'll be waiting for a while to pick up another
There will always be new printers and the detail difference can often only be seen under magnification. So enjoy the M3 and enjoy resin printing. You're in the Giveaway draw 😁
Just got a mono 4K printer because of YOU! The D2 review came too late. LOL. Still practicing with standart resin. Casting is for later. WHAMBAM ME, thoses mats are amazing.
Don't blame me for the Mono 4K. You know full well it's excellent 😁😂🤣
You're in the Giveaway draw 😁
WhamBam Me
I'm buying D2 because your videos convinced me!
You'll love it 😁
That ring looks really smooth. Seems like I'll give another try to casting. Will need flexplates tho. So WhamBam me!
the Siraya Tech Cast resin is really a great product. The level of detail on the DLP printer is professional level at a very reasonable price.
If i was not already buried in lcd printers I would invest in one.
BTW you should see if foxalien would be interested in having you review their foam cutter. It would really raise your foam casting game.
finally WhamBam me.
good info as always.
Thanks Perry. You're in the Giveaway draw 😁
Wow, that quality is amazing! Totally gonna try casting some time. WHAMBAM ME!
Thanks Michael. You're in the Giveaway draw 😁

WHAmBAm me, love the channel and content. I'm currently researching 3d printing as I would like to get into printing items starting with larger scale RC cars and especially getting into ducting and cooling of RC motors and esc's. Actually Matthew, I was drunk with repetition there... do you want to be in the draw? You're missing the magic words.
Thanks for the kind words. I'm genuinely pleased with this casting. It's come out really well. I thing the D2 has helped make the details crisper and that really shows through.
Thanks again buddy 😁
@@vogman no for the draw. Thanks anyway.
Thanks Matthew - and sorry for the confusion 😁

Whambam Me!
That ring came out amazing, I'm looking to get a 3d printer and hope print a few casts for my cousin that has been making jewelry for 2yrs now.
You're in the Giveaway draw 😁
Whambam me! I had to get a friend in the US to buy and send me one of their flexible build plates for the Mars 3 as no UK reseller had it at the time. The good news is that it's been flawless, and made removing prints so easy (no scratching build plates with a metal spatula, or damaging prints). It leaves me with loads more time to admire the pixelation on my prints. Ahem.
They are good. You're in the Giveaway draw 😁
@@vogman Many thanks. I've just checked the Wham Bam site and it does now look as though shipping to the UK is an option; which is great news.

Just kidding Steve. I'm not that egotistical 😂🤣😁
