Hope you guys enjoyed the video! Also thanks to Omar Hamati who helped me title this video and also makes sweet videos! Hopefully he'll comment beneath this so you can find his channel :)
The conversation behind the scenes setting the whole composition up was the most helpful thing ever. Seriously just listening to people who know what they’re doing problem solve out loud is the most educational thing ever. Thanks!
I have to say, this is one of the best videos about the subject I have found on youtube. Love the way you handle yourself behind the camera... makes all the difference. Thank you.
You are just the best content creator in the industry I know and you are such a huge inspiration for me. Just keep making such content and keep up the style you have coz that's the best thing in you which makes you "the best".
You are one of the RUclipsr that I hope you could post more often. Love your content, the creativity and ofc your personality. Thanks for great videos!
Thanks for the tutorial! Just wanted to say I appreciate the effort put in here - not only is it hard to pull off effects like that in itself, but also having to think about and shoot the material for this tutorial too.. almost telling 2 stories. Inspiring work! Will be sure to use this in a video coming soon 🤙
Well that was something that I will definitely use.... yeah I just paint but I have been so inspired by to make a bit different videos and just painting time lapses... Keep on the great work Jesse😃
Consider us inspired! I’m setting an early alarm to get a jump on a video using these techniques. No idea what that will be, but it’s happening! Thanks for the insomnia, Jesse!
Nice move to start with an intricate intro, then base the tutorial around how to make said intro and then also include behind the scenes from the filming 👍🍍🐈
@@JesseDriftwood Your video on in camera transitions is one of my favourite RUclips videos of all times, but that form maybe only worked that good on that specific video topic 🤔 Keep on tweaking! (Whilst I keep on fantasising about my own channel (not the one I'm writing from)) 🥳
I love and appreciate your creativity. More notable your passion with sharing it! I learn so much from these videos. In fact, your last video on adjusting coloring in final cut has complete changed my work flow. 👏
Dude what a great video, so informative and really easy to watch. I really appreciated you noting that there are SO many ways to do these things - that's really the beauty of this whole video making process in my opinion :)
About five years ago, I used a static camera with masking to have a short conversation with myself while loading the washer and emptying the drier. A time dilation kinda thing. An important aspect is lighting.. it can not change! When shooting outdoors it had to be kind of quick, as the earth is moving.
Love your content Jesse! Always inspiring me to try more creative stuff with my videos, whether through tutorials or just cool videos on IG. I've gotten very comfortable with basic hard cuts and pretty shots, and I focus heavily on creating great content in camera and leaving the editing very minimal, but your work always inspires me to learn a little more about editing and VFX to help enhance my work and take it to a different level. Hope to incorporate more of this type of stuff in to my work soon. Thanks again!
I don't use Final Cut Pro but this video taught me about adjustment layers which are available in DaVinci Resolve as well! So I'll be watching tutorials for Resolve and attempt to use the lessens you taught after I learn how to use adjustment layers! Thank you! Also I've seen your stories in Japan and WOW!
This is awesome. Definitely going to try some of these techniques. I'd also love to see a masking tutorial. I'm probably using like 5% of FCPX's features.
Also at the end, definetly one of the best product placements ever. "Wabam wabam wanam, now it's night time... How did i do that? Story blocks". Haha it's like, old spice level awesome. Good job. Thank youuuuu for taking the time to do this, and I'm glad brands are happy to enable you to do it. Peace. _/\_
That's a great tutorial bro thanks. I'm going to try something like this with my dog as we started a RUclips account for her. Thanks for the ideas and tips
Hope you guys enjoyed the video! Also thanks to Omar Hamati who helped me title this video and also makes sweet videos!

hey, my name's umr too :D
Thank you for this! Amazing and inspirational.
Thanks a lot 😍
Your tutorials are so refreshing to watch. It’s not same old garbage being repeated over and over.
What did you use the microphone? 😂
The conversation behind the scenes setting the whole composition up was the most helpful thing ever. Seriously just listening to people who know what they’re doing problem solve out loud is the most educational thing ever. Thanks!
Thank you! I’ve been wanting to add a lot more of this in my video! Good to hear people like itz
I have to say, this is one of the best videos about the subject I have found on youtube. Love the way you handle yourself behind the camera... makes all the difference. Thank you.
Several things: Zach’s laugh, that intro, sky replacements. All of these I thoroughly enjoyed in this video and need to be in future videos.
Things I did not enjoy in this video... seeing potential camera rentals disappear with the C200 as it almost crashed down the hill like the One Wheel
You're a freaking creative genius, your videos are absolutely amazing, I love the uniqueness and attention to detail.
Only you could make one wheeling/scooting through trails look fun.
Low Key appreciate that heads up- I was like "damn I need a one wheel for nature"
I’m not sure what this means... onewheeling on trails is insanely fun!
lazypassion it was sarcasticccc 😩😩😩
Zach Driftwood oh my god right over my head haha... my bad 😝
I can keep on watching your tutorials for days and days Jesse
Probably, my favorite filmmaker’s channel for the moment. Value, great explanation and charisma!
This is hands down the best video intro in history!!! Got me so pumped!
All I gotta say is, you're literally the reason I subscribed to StoryBlocks!! Love your content man! Appreciate all that you do.
Thanks dude!
Bro, that key light is 110% on point. The softness, the angle, the roll-off, the eye lights - dang.
Yet again, blown away by your creativity.
I don’t think there’s a video of yours I do not enjoy! Thanks Jesse! Have a good one man!
Yes Jesse! Putting out some unreal videos 🙌🙌 well done

I'm just mind-blown in how you managed to create 5 of you in the one shot!!!.. brilliant
the lighting the elements the colours of this talking head is amazing bro
Nice work Jesse! You're super creative and it's always fun to see what you're up to. Thanks for sharing.

Well done as always, sir. Very cool. Now to go practice this.
Let’s make one together in LA one of these days.
@@JesseDriftwood Don't tease me like that, Jesse.

Pure gold Jesse! I’m glad I came across this video. Thanks for creating this!
Thanks for the tutorial! This was probably one of the most helpful tutorial without wasting my time. Thanks for getting right to the point Jesse!
Love these behind the scenes videos! I think I prefer the creative process tutorials than editing techniques to be fair! Great stuff 👏🏼
Well that was something that I will definitely use.... yeah I just paint but I have been so inspired by to make a bit different videos and just painting time lapses... Keep on the great work Jesse😃

Jesse this is by far one of the best videos you've ever done! Great job!
Editing a video about how to edit a video like that is hell of a work 🤩
This video is amazing and also a side shoutout to how boss Onewheel is. TWO full-sends off a cliff and it still works. Tutorial.
Maybe it’s not a competition but if it then Jessie is the best RUclipsr, bar none.
the last sunset was the one that matched by brightness and colors the best - the one was pretty convincing :D

True! I actually lightly graded each layer of the intro since the sun was going down while shooting.
This is fu*king amazing Jesse!! Love this, going to try this technique for sure. The behind the scenes really helped! Keep crushing it.
To me it looks so sick! Just a different level Jesse!
This made me think differently. Thanks Jesse
