All good points, especially your last bonus point about proper sex education for your children. Children will be informed from somewhere. As parents, we need to ask ourselves which is the BIGGER concern: 1. overcoming our own fears/hangups about the topic or 2. facing the uncertainty of what the world will teach them without our guidance.

We live in a complex that is 90+ percent people from India and middle eastern. We live across the street from a "Christian" school...but i know someone whos son came out of this school and he is Pentacostal and Charismatic!
We use ACE and go to a church that is 45 minutes away. My son has one kid in our complex that he "plays" with. He knows the "difference" biblically.
    We are so isolated!

This is so good. I get muddled in allowing my kid to hang out with other public school kids. We don’t live in the city where our co ops happen. So nobody wants to hang out with my son. Luckily, we have a playdate in a few days with someone at a zoo from like two hours away. I hope it goes good! Anyway, I have a problem with my son hanging with street kids. Because the way they act. I can show love when I’m out but having certain kids in my house knowing they act a certain way that I don’t like, I don’t like my son being influenced. And he gets influenced easily.

There is so much discernment needed! We're to be the light of the world but then bad company corrupts good behavior/morals (can't remember the exact quote but you get the point). The girls we hang out with are easily influenced, and I have such an amazing opportunity to lovingly influence them. They're from such a broken home and it's a pleasure to have input. I feel I pour in so much gospel content and good living examples into my children that the balance is overwhelmingly gospel-centered. But you do need to keep an eye on interactions. Thank God for homeschooling.
