Great composition, sir! This is exactly what contemporary works of culture lacks at times: devotion to a theme. And with a worthy understanding at that.
This is a great video, Gentleman! As a storyteller I thoroughly believe locations can be incredibly powerful if properly designed and executed in the narrative. Kult Divinity Lost is very heavy on this subject. The manuscript Beyond Darkness and Madness goes into nice detail. I personally always enjoyed your execution on location descriptions and have learned a lot from your games particularly on Red Moon Roleplaying. You seem to have a very good balance with your descriptions to where it is not too much, but touches on the important aspects that allows us as listeners to have them brought to life. Great video, sir!
We're really cycling through the old standards from 10-13 years ago and giving them a new spin, aren't we? Lots of references to the old vids that helped me get into WoD back in 2014, and I'm here for it.
@@TheGentlemanGamer The whole overview of the bar and the thrumming music. The whole vibe that this bar is designed to take your money and if you're 'lucky' that's all it will take.
To perhaps nobody's surprise, I've not once stepped inside a strip club. The idea holds next to zero appeal. Which may be why I describe it in such a seedy way. I'm sure there are some absolutely lovely titty bars.

Lucky's sounds like the kind of place that adamantly insists on being called a gentleman's bar when it's anything but.
@@scivoid But they play some amazing tunes.

@@Richierua Yep, clearly I left it long enough before coming back!
The name Lucky's is somehow super sleazy
@@VGirl What on Earth do you mean. It's a classy joint!

"based on the Michael Connely novels about the character of that name." Tragically wasted opportunity to use the term "titular" here.
Oh damn it.
How much research did you need to do before you could make this video? 😆
