Someone's gonna get a steal. Reliable playmaker in the slot. Team-player w high character. He was Mr. Clutch and was Hendo's go-to in times of need. He will be missed. I expect this VFL to have a good career wherever he lands.
you can really see through the tape how he got better and better with time. People say he´s too old but not everybody develops the same. He had his breakout with 23/24, thats an age where a human still isn´t fully developed. I see great potential here.
This ain’t watching tape on him this is a highlight video of course they’re gna show all the good/great plays i think it was a bit of a reach not a fan of this pick hopefully he pans out and make me regret my words
Reminds of a ton of Brandon Aiyuk when he was coming out 2 years ago, who is slowly molding into a solid player. Honestly that's the value you're looking for in Round 3. If he can just be a solid option like that this is a great pick.
With good NFL coaching, this guy is going to be a very good receiver. I'm sick of these so called experts trying to measure a man's heart. This will go down as a great pick for the Bears
I’m here after the Bears jusy drafted him wished we got Tolbert but hope he turns out good don’t forget Mooney and Tyreek Hill were selected in the 5th
This is our man welcome to CHICAGO love this pick what a still. Thanks Poles and Justin for your input very promising lots of up side guys.BEAR DOWN 💯 looking forward to Justin to Jones Jr. TD's
He will draw double teams and open up the under routes for Pringle and Mooney. Chuck it deep in a one on one and Fields can get him in stride. Touchdown in the first game. Plus he’s got size and runs through contact.
He's fast but I wouldn't say he's "quick". However, the best thing about him is that he keeps his momentum and balance after contact. He doesn't just go down after the initial tackle.
Nice size, definitely not afraid to grind out tough yards. Welcome to Chicago kid, adult, whatever ;) Plenty of opportunity on this roster, hope you make the best of it.
@@newnewjohnson4776 Ryan Poles had Justin sit with him to watch film of draftees together. Making sure that Justin and the new management are on the same page unlike Nagy and Pace
I mean for the Bears this guy will help our offense out on kick returns and punt returns and hope he shows he’s a WR2 his first year and Mooney emerges as a WR1
@@BaronVonBielski i think someone will "reach" for him in the 3rd or 4th knowing his potential value. Happens every year where dudes go way higher than their projection and this dude is way too talented for 32 teams to let him slip to the 7th.
@@DC_1398 man i think you guys got a potential super star. I thought the 49ers shoulda drafted him to replace Deebo thats how much upside i could see him having.
Born May 11, 1997. Played high school football for the Saraland Titans (AL). Played college football first for the USC Trojans and then for the Tennessee Volunteers. Drafted #71 overall by the Chicago Bears (or Da Bears).
I know it’s college, but watching a guy not be able to be tackled reminds me of Hester. Footwork and route running may need a tune up, but that’s teachable. Speed is not.
Don't understand the knock on this guy... he's got that NFL ready burst and that twitch. Did it against ranked teams. If this offense is what I think it will be... dump that ball all day and let him work.
Those are casuals. And admittedly I was a casual cuz I had no idea who this was until we drafted him. I was excited though cuz based on his tape and the versatility of positions he can play I think we got a solid pickup
I see versatility in Velus, but I still think the extraordinary brawl-for-the-ball jump ball ability of Alec Pierce would have been more beneficial for Justin Fields' on-the-run throws.
@@michaelyoung2978 great point, who’s gonna come in and make a bigger impact and more importantly start for you. I still would’ve betted on pierce but the staff Chicago believed in brisker. I hope they made the right choice

Raiders please do right I know we hosted Damier Byrd and he has a very similar skill set so it isn’t far fetched at all, we definitely need a guy elite after the catch
Hope the Bears do very well this coming NFL season, everybody saying they are going to be the worst team but I'm saying they are going to be the best team.
Two observations, doesn’t run a great deal of routes, and at times he’s not a patient runner, will over run blocks and not wait for them to develop. I can see how the bears want to use him, but unless he becomes a better route runner, defenses will know when he’s in the game he’s running a go route or screen to the flat.
They're trying to set Fields up with players that can turn short catches into yard gainers. Definitely because Fields takes took much time looking down field. I think we'll see a two headed running game with Herbert and Montgomery and quick short throws. Maybe a few deep balls but 3rd and long is not a good look for Fields
