Cool copaganda piece. The SRO at my school got them to ban students from wearing gloves (even in winter) because he heard gangs were using them to identify each other.

The role of the school resource officer is to intimidate you while the public schools deliberately prevent you from studying your fundamentally protected rights or how to initiate a complaint and defend yourself in court.
Not at all. I actually teach kids about the Constitution and what their rights are as an American citizen. The kids really like me at the school. Most of the time, of they're doing something there not supposed to, they'll quit as soon as I arrived just because I've had talks with all of them and the respect is mutual. A lot of the kids won't even ask for staff. They come into the office and want to speak directly with me. People need to stop putting law enforcement categories because we're all different. A lot of kids start off the school year not liking me because they've had a bad experience with another officer but by the end of the year, we're fist-bumping, having talks about different subjects and getting along just fine. I can't control what other people do. I can only be responsible for me.
@user-zm6yh3ux7l School resource officers job is to harass+intimidate students and teachers. Then run and hide in an armored vehicle if an active shooting situation occurs. That's the reality of the majority. Chicago schools got rid of them for a reason.
