❄️ Demag AC160-2 & Grove GMK 4080 Tandem Lift | McIntyre Crane & Rigging

Our client needed to hoist an industrial shack weighing 75,000lb onto a skid for testing and measurements. After scouting the area, we decided to use our 200-ton Demag AC160-2 and 100-ton Grove GMK 4080 cranes for a tandem lift. To ensure the safety of our crew and equipment, we scheduled the lift for the afternoon instead of the usual morning lift due to the extreme cold weather in Alberta. Our crew arrived at the yard on Monday morning and prepared everything for the lift. Jason operated the 200-ton crane while Brock rigged and transported the counterweight. John operated our 100-ton crane, and Crikey transported the counterweight and helped the rig. Despite the freezing weather, the setup and lift went smoothly. Once the client finished their testing and measurements and gave the go-ahead, we hoisted the shacks back into their original place, cleaned up, and headed back to the yard.
