VERY interesting!
Beautiful area. Looks like the railroad bridges for freight are as bad in Oregon as they are in NY and NJ. Glad to see they're putting money into them.
there is a old rail road bridge not far from here in the old rail road town of thurmond that be rebuild this summer by RJ corman
Nice to see them rehabbing a rail line instead of ripping it up!! Railroads mean Jobs! We don't need any more walking trails please, we already have sidewalks !!
Another railway to nowhere. How many more dollars are you going to waste.
This is not a waste. What is a waste was your comment.
TheReIntegration To be honest this railway is a bit of a waste. I mean I see no practical use for it. All the wood mills are shit down and the one that is in business by Notie is barley scraping along.
Without a rail link to a first class RR your future as a industrial base is zero. That port-rail link means current and future industry will locate due to the access. Of corse you have to defeat the NIMBY and the no development greens
I think some mills opened back up after the rail line was reopened. I say this as a truck driver, you have to have trains, not every single thing under the sun can go on a truck!
Amazing infrastructure.
