- CBR - Coos Bay Rail Link, Eugene to Coquille, approx. 120 miles. Shots feature the 3 x GP-38s leaving the Coos Bay downtown yard and into the street section. Then some switching at North Bend yard, leaving a long flat car off at a siding, a very pleasant afternoon on the coast. This location would make a great model !
I grew up in Coos Bay/North Bend. The SW is now in Harrah, WA. The CBRR SW that was in Harrah is now in Vancouver. I used live in the TriCities and worked in Harrah before moving to Vancouver. I feel as though these engines are following me.
Wonderful! Now turn the camera and see where the train is heading.
You have got to be kidding me! A Coos Bay Rail Link train in the middle of the street in Coos Bay? That was pretty darn odd if you see a train in the middle of the street. I mean, come on. What street is this and what state is it in?
+Tiffany Douglas Coos Bay is a port town on the coast of Oregon, USA. The railroad runs from the port over the coastal mountains to Eugene, Oregon where it connects to the Union Pacific line running south from Portland, Oregon to California.
Hi@@allenra530 ,was this former SP line?
@@ricardojuricic9027 Yes
What GP products is it handling?
GP: Georgia Pacific, former owner of the AMC
Just an FYI, the flat, RTIX 72 is destined to be a bridge for some farmer. As of 5/22, it was down on the Ferrall Gas lead awaiting truck transportation out. Great video!
Is it true that the Coos Bay Rail Link buys up rail cars from companies that don't want them or have ceased to exist?
Some of the Coos Bay locomotives are now up here in Grays Harbor on the Puget Sound and Pacific line.
Interesting, perhaps it's due to the CB Swing bridge being out of operation until next year, there has been no trains in or out of Coos Bay / North Bend / Coquille since May so there is some extra power with nothing to do.
@@RailwayWorld I heard they sold the line to the scenic rail people and sold the rolling stock to whoever.
what railroads connected now and past?
