- Driving Downtown Quebec City, Capital of Province of Quebec.
Nothing interested in this part of the city, next video will gonna explore the most famous area of Quebec City, where all tourists always go to: The Old Historic Quebec City.
Stay tuned.
PS As a driver, I hate when traffic lights are vertical and horizontal in the very same area (city), it gets you distracted easily. ALL traffic lights in Ontario are vertical.
Amazing how clean the whole place looks.
Thanks, Chris RoadWarrior, for driving me around Quebec. That's the feeling , watching your video/s.
Here's the name of the streets, i live in Quebec City.
0:00 Boulevard Charest
1:55 Boulevard René Levesque
3:36 Honoré Mercier
4:17 Cote de la Potasse
5:14 Rue St-Vallier
The beginning is rue St-Paul that changes into Boul. Charest near the Palais de Justice.
Superbe, merci beaucoup.
That area around 1:30 is very interesting actually if you use public transit instead of car (good luck parking otherwise). It has several unique stores not found anywhere else, so it can be a nice extra spot to visit in addition to Old Quebec district. My favorite places are Macfly (a bar with lots of unlocked arcade machines from the early 80's) and La Planque (a retro gaming store)
My city. Went from Sherbrooke and living in Quebec City since 2 years now. Sherbrooke is also a beautiful city but had the highest percentage of people with some mental illnesses in Quebec 11 percent.
Safest place in North-America
Yaa right Safest place,, Til someone grab a japanese sore to demembrate random people in the street, you call that safe? .. Safest my ass!
@@thefox8939 One crazy man from Montreal and you’re going crazy ? This is still one of the safest place in the world.
@@vicleg8377now what? still one of the safest place in the world???? Comon Yoo wake up man there's no safe place in this world , you can live in the best city in the world with zero crime rate but if you walk in the side walk and a car looses control and hit you and then you die, you were just in the bad place in bad time.. safe places doesn't exist in this world .. it's when you thing there's no danger ahead that turns to be the real danger and you don't see it coming because you think your safe .. you should learn that
@@thefox8939 Are you even serious ? Of course, a place can’t be safe at 100%, but the degree of violence and murder is much lower than other similar cities. The city is safe or not depending on its level of violence and murder. It is for this reason that it is one of the safest cities in the world.
@@thefox8939 So if a plane crashes into a house where someone is sitting and reading a book, while his brother was gone base-jumping, you're gonna say reading is more dangerous than base-jumping? You're not very good with statistics and probabilities I assume.
Nice place
Some parts look like they're near Laval University. I went a couple of weeks ago, stayed in L'Ancienne Lorette near the airport.
Did you ever drive on île d'Orleans? It's a nice drive from QC, take the bridge close to the Montmorency Falls off A-40. The island has about 30 km of two-lane coastal paved road and most of the time the view of St Lawrence River is really good.
I agree about the traffic signals inconsistency of horizontal vs vertical, being confusing. Most of Texas where I live, is like that as well. For those who do not already know, in PQ, flashing green means protected turn, and can happen either at the beginning or end of green cycle. I learned that firsthand while driving in Quebec City and Wendake. The Huron Wendake reservation in Nw QC has stop signs with "Arrêt - Seten".
The no-right-on-red is not universal in QC, it's mostly on marked intersections with the prohibition. Quite amusing for the violation fine, was a picture of a judge's gavel next to the fine amount.
And does anyone know about the A-73 southbound extension from Beauceville / St Georges to the US border?

Be safe.
After all, it's not that small!
when did you shoot this video? seems like it is very sunny and varm, and great video by the way!
Thank you very much, Zahek.
Summer 2013 when the entire Quebec Road Trip took place, I've already included this particular detail in the 'Quebec, Canada' Playlist Info.
Be safe out there.
Funny!
Why is it so empty, why aren't there people on the streets?
This is Quebec City! 😄
Are you sure you watch this video ? You can see lot of people
@@garbageday587 yes I did. It's empty man, American cities are too spread out and have very low population density.
I would have emigrated to Quebec City. :)
+Sally dolibo tu es tu de Quebec?
I Love Québec downtown
Yeah I know it's not the best downtown you'd ever get to see in North America xd
This is a quiet downtown and it’s perfect like this. Big downtown like MTL are pure shit.
No people
Are you blind ? I saw lot of people in this video
Y'a presque pas de gens dans cette ville😱😂😂😂merde
