- We spent 24 hours on layover in Iceland on our way from Rome to Minnesota. This was something we were excited about and we enjoyed spending time in Keflavik around the airport town. Iceland has so much to offer, we will definitely be back, but it was a nice little small exposure to a beautiful place.
We camp and hike in and around the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness, we often travel, and we’re also building and enjoying an off- grid cabin in the woods and we love sharing the journey with you!

I thought so! Initially we planned on doing a few activities in Iceland, but it was so relaxing to just hang out and walk around.
Yeah I'd have to do at least 2 more days... not too often you're in Iceland
We definitely want to go back. You can drive around the entire island in a few days. It would be awesome to do that at some point.
My wife and I visited Iceland in 2001 will our was stationed there while in Navy. We were there for 9 days. There are many place to visit. They have the greatest waterfalls. The Blue Lagoon was fabulous. The whole is heated by geothermal activity. It’s a shame you only had 24 hours there. Even being there for 9 days we still only saw a small portion of what the island had to offer you.
