They forgot to mention J. Pat O'mally who voiced Colonel Hathi and buzzie cuz he was a veteran Disney voice at the studio they always brought him back. He voiced • Cyril proudbottom In "wind in the willows" • tweedle dee, tweedle dum, the walrus and the carpenter in "Alice in Wonderland" • jasper and the colonel in 101 Dalmatians • Otto in "Robin Hood"
I understood as a young child that the Vultures were the mop top Beatles, scruffy, long haired and Northern accented and I was a child of the 80's. Now as an adult I appreciate the humour, using one of the most famous bands of the era and now of course of all time and characterising them, hilarious, love the Vultures even more, used not only in The Jungle Book, but in Robin Hood too. Love Phil Harris's voice, loved him as Thomas O'Malley in The Aristocats, and as Little John in Robin Hood too, but Sterling Holloway was a Legend, will always be (especially) Kaa, The Cheshire Cat, The Stork and Winnie The Pooh to me ! Although I know he voiced other characters too, like Roquefort in Aristocats. And Adult Flower from Bambi.
5:39 Oh that's right! The vultures were based on the Beatles. They were supposed to voice them but they were just going through their break up. I can't believe I forgot that!
AlbieStarr. Two Vultures were also used to great comedic effect in Robin Hood as Sentries on guard and Robin Hood again used the lovely voice of Phil Harris as Little John the Bear, as well as using his voice again as Thomas O'Malley, the Alley cat in The Aristocats. There's several scenes duplicated in The Sword In The Stone and The Jungle Book, especially the way both of the young boys engage with their animals. That was something that I noticed years ago.
Truth be told, my phobia of snakes originated from this movie when I was 5, but more than that, my grandmother sounded so much like Sterling Holloway that in my 5-year-old mind I thought it was Kaa in disguise--think Red Riding Hood but with a snake instead--and for a time I would not make eye contact with her. But even weirder, when I was 18 and saw what Sterling Holloway looked like before he died, he resembled my grandma.
Ellie Wells. Sterling Holloway was a Legend. He voiced several characters for Disney. Kaa the Snake, The Cheshire Cat in Alice In Wonderland, The Stork in Dumbo, Winnie The Pooh, and Adult Flower in Bambi amongst others.

Funny that. Kaa and Mowlgi is voiced by Pooh and CR. XD
And funny that, Jim Cummings has become the second coming of Sterling Holloway, since he has taken the characters over following Holloway's passing.
This is the first time that for an animated movie they got nearly all celebrities. Too bad this has become the rule instead of the exception
7:03 Memorable ;)
Thumbs up if you didn't know Clint Howard was the voice of Colonel Haiti's son at first.
Winnie the Pooh is the Snake? Niice.
