    I would love to have a job making these lanterns like this. It must be so rewarding to see everything take shape and it can’t be heavy work, just tedious and attention to detail. Perfect for me!

    Re the Gifu lanterns: Can someone show us how these were lit before electricity came? What was the fuel used? Seems paper lanterns could be a fire hazard, specially when a typhoon approaches. I have been to Gifu to see Noguchi factory. Joya Roy
