damn the last time i was playing DMC4 was in 2013 trying to play it on DMD (no chance for me) and six years later in 2020, i decided to play DMC4 again and actually started slowly progressing my DMD. And after facing blitz in mission 4 i thought that i should check the video on how to deal with it, i got here and saw that i liked this video. Apparantely i've watched it in 2013 or maybe in 2010 (at my very very first familiarization with this amazing game)but for Dante. Cool story for me, just letting know. I actually think that i even recall some fragments of it, i remember watching it far in the past. Very interesting

I'm sorry.... But have any of you even played DMC3 with the fucking Enigmas? Any difficulty Hard or above those things are more annoying than cockroaches. Blitz, Assault and Frost are all a piece a cake by comparison to a room with even 2 of those bastard Enigmas.

Don't even bother with those guys, they are just all about montages and looking badass. But in reality little of what they do is actually player skill. The rest is just spamming moves with external help.

I also well aware that they have a different way to grip the controller to make some things easier to do. But if you actually are familiar enough with the game to the point to beat it in dante must die or hell and hell difficult, and pay attention very carefully in some of their videos, you would notice that some moves they do are very unrealistic inputs for humans to perform, moves that are very hard to perform in quickly succession, let alone to control with that perfect precision and timing. For example: they can perform million stabs move, cancels it with royal guard block or darkslayer slash, and keep spamming this million stabs cancel like 5 times in a row between a time gap of only 0.5 seconds. The input for million stabs in DMC4 works different from DMC3. In DMC3 you could do a million stabs spam like this only by holding forward and smashing the attack button, so Dante would start another million stabs just after finishing the first or would cancel the first one mid-animation and would keep repeating this as long as you held forward and smash attack, completely stunlocking the enemy. Now In DMC4, in order to perform the Million stabs, you must perform the Stinger and then hold attack button for a short time to pull it off. This input takes way more time than in DMC3 and is also harder to repeat in rapid succession to get the same stunlock effect of DMC3. Now imagine perform this input 5 times followed while in the same time changing Dante stances to cancel the attack animation, and even put some Yammato attacks between those cancels. All those inputs in split seconds. This one is just an example of several other unrealistic inputs I have saw in their videos. At least unrealistic for humans to perform. There is no doubt they might use some kind of pre made macro or scripting in some of those moves. Also, I don't know if you have knowledge about this, but this "Cheat Engine" or "DMC Trainer" they uses has a lot of features like teleportation between blood palace floors, modify enemy health, 1 hitkill enemy, automatic royal guard moves, infinite D.T and other resources, and several other options that can also be allocated to hotkeys. And since they play on PC version they also have access to a lot of other mods. I wouldn't be surprise if they injects a lot of codes in the game just for the sake of their videos. What you see in this video here is just an average pretty good player who probably plays on console without the aid of any external program, and that doesn't spam questionable moves just to look skilled in the game. Any people who says this guy here "is not that good" are probably donguiri and sakaki fanboys who believes that everything they do in those videos are pure player skill.

The difference between me and you/you're one of the most patient&stylish players I've seen while I'm so impatient when playing this game the only thought going through my head for all demons is die already,the game is still one of the most funnest games I've ever played.
Surprisingly, it's easy with Nero. When I used Dante, Lucifer did more harm than good. FYI, I used the PF : 666 to disable his shield first regardless of the Disaster Gauge. The DRI is quite hard though as I tend to miss the 1st strike
It's not even DMD, when i finished the game, i tried SoS. I think this mode was nothing but a little harder than Devil Hunter, just a little. Then I found Blitz at mission 4, and A LOT OF BLITZES at mission 06 while I was struggling with the dice thing.
Great tutorial. Will be helpful when i'm playing as Nero and Dante. But now i need a updated tutorial on how to defeat these guys with Vergil, Lady and Trish. I'm on Mission 15 at devil hunter difficulty with Trish and she's almost completely melee. My playthrough came to a grinding halt because i can't figure out how to kill him.
There is a video out there on how to do it with vergil, and I figured out how to do it with lady, you bring down its sheild with level 3 pistol shots then empty your level 3 shotgun shots into it while right in its face. I'll try and post a vid in my channel if you dint understand
Minty Badger Oh no with Lady he's no problem at all. Guns are literally his weakness, so with lady it should be easy. (i haven't fought one with her yet, but it shouldn't be hard.) What i'm worried about the most is trish, who's almost completely melee. Sure you can fire the huge cannon thing. But that costs 3 points of devil trigger gauge. If you run out, you have to use the pistols that do almost nothing.
You can round Trip him with Trish or camp in a cross dive kicks lightning trap. As for Virgil it's the same as Dante. You can use any of his swords to pierce the shield(I suggest the forward launched special) and DT during the second uppercut for insane damage. Sorry I'm off on the move names. You'll figure it out tho right?
never knew that omen could bring down the electricity and thanks for the strategy for the one in the elevator as Nero because i find that one the hardest one until now
I remember the first time I killed a Blitz before it could enter its enraged "countdown to self-destruct" mode. It was pure luck that I decided to DRI when his health just so happened to be low enough for it to smack away all the rest. On that note, it still amazes me how insanely powerful DRI is, even with its lengthy wind up. I treat it much like Nero's Buster attacks with bosses: wait until the boss is fatigued, then DRI him in the gut, multiple times if possible.

Good tutorial, actually you can kill Blitz in just one DRI. If you start the RI without the DT and them do a sequence(in the middle of RI) with the DT button, Blitz will die even in DMD.
DmC Devil May Cry actually sucks once you've played the original Devil May Cry. Thanks to DmC' s easy controls, it's hard for me to master DMC and fully enjoy DMC4.
This fucker was a nightmare to fight as dante since dante lacks heavy damaging moves i mostly rely on pandora's gattling gun form to remove the shield or judgement cut if im in good position and DRI
i have another good way for taking down blitz shild. take gilgamesh and royal guard. then do the dive kick with gilgamesh on blitz and just when you hit him, "royal block" the electric damage. this will alow you to do another kick, block it and so on. you can do 3 kicks with one jump, 6 are needed to take down the shield.
Tip - You can control the number you get if you hit the block with one simple slice. i forget exactly the difference, but once you get the hang of it, it should be very easy. Notice the block starts at a number and when you hit it, it should flip on a very specific angle. try it.
It was vergil battle 1. I know that song like the back of my hand lol btw, excellent last fight with the blitz. That can't be taught what you just did, you just gotta have it to do that, I was impressed
Blitz demon is fast tho. You have to stun him first before taking his shield down. Because he’s quick, you can’t use these Lessons unless your Nero and you are pro at the game. But as Dante do not use the omen unless you can time it right and for the Upper cut attack he has to be stunned first One fun fact about Blitz is that he’s actually blind and can’t see anything. But he has senes that will allow him to track his pray. But this causes him to attack other demons. So if You move he will sense you and attack you
8:46 ok not gonna lie i just got this game but i know what royal gaurd does and a full meter did not 1.ko a blitz just shows to me the sponginess of this dude.
Sorry for the zombie reply. Royal Release does tons of damage to Blitz, but when Blitz has his yellow lightning on most/all attacks don't hurt him, they simply deplete the lightning's "health". Red Lightning mode is different, in that Blitz takes damage, but the red lightning keeps him from being staggered. That's why later on, the player kills Blitz in red lightning with two "empty" royal releases. Even without any rage in the gauge, royal release does decent damage.
@derVadok You may not be as good as them, but you're way more entertaining. Plus your guides are a lot more in detail and in-depth. This video is the entire reason I've decided to go beat DMD mode (Blitz was the thing that kept turning me off of trying it).
Bruh, I know I'm late AF but easiest and quickest way to kill Blitz Nero: 3/4 lvl3 charge shot for shield, DT showdown and 2 busters, should be glowing red, 1 lvl3 charge shot for SSS Dante: Guard style: punch and counter at the same time (may need to remap controller buttons in settings) 3 or 4 times will break the shield, switch to swordmaster, use Fists( idk the name) and either do kick combos or charged uppercuts/dragon rise punches. May need to redo shield break if he charges shield up but shield break only takes 2-3seconds so not bad.

You can actually kill the blitz with one DRI as opposed to two. You need to start out in human mode, DT after the first hit, go back into human mode, and repeat for all three hits.
Easy way to kill them with Nero is to Charged Shot 3 until shield is down, Devil Trigger and buster once, run towards him, buster again, charged shot 3 to knock him down after 2nd buster, then buster again. He'll have no health after that and will take 1 shot to kill while going red.
I used a different strategy to bring down shields with Dante. Royal Guard and Gilgamesh, hitting the attack and style button at the exact same time. Problem is now I'm so out of practice I can't pull it off anymore. And I have 4 special edition on the ps4 and the buttons aren't as close together. I have a hell of a time landing even one Distorted Real Impact, let alone two. The bastards won't sit still.
The way i do it is that i charge up the disaster gauge (to the max) and use that gunship thing that Pandora can transforn into press circle to shoot missles from all the holes of it (you can do it twice due to the disaster gauge basically being depleted)

no it forces u to wait for your gun to charge so u can release the button and start holding it again until his shield breaks. this enemy is almost as bad as the fallen from 3
Oh, and you might have forfot but you can use the swords from Nero's DT while beating the hell out of Blitz with the grab. Just for the little amount if binus damage.
@TheSummersBoi If you have a multi button mouse, esp types like the Naga with side buttons for your inactive thumb or pinkey, set the charge gun to one of those buttons, whichever is most comfortable to you. for me, I have an odd setup. I use 1-4 (Naga) to stance-dance with Dante, and 5 (normal resting position for my thumb) is set to charge gun. I cant play like Vadok, but it sure helps me a lot. If I had a pinkey button I'd change it to that, personally. But alas, the Naga does not have one.
There's an easier way to beat blitz I think,I just charge shot him until his shield goes down,then I buster him twice,after that I activate DT next to him and buster him again,the moment he hits the ground rush towards him with the sword(level 3 gauge for red queen is somewhat needed here) you'll have to be charging your gun this whole time,after you rush towards him you shoot him(with DT still on)and he'll usually die,if not use a simple maximum bet and you're good,if he somehow survives that too then just charge shot him again just keep in the air,it sounds long a difficult but it's quite easy Nero btw,although really all the enemies are easy with nero,Dante is the problem lol
blitz is easy if you 1. execute a table hopper ever second that passes 2. hold down charge button Keep HOLDING down charge button even when punching blitz and punching blitz in mid-air to inflict extra damage 3. Red Queen (in my opinion) Is Useless Against Blitz. 4. A Red Queen EX Shuffle Won't Kill Blitz 5. A Red Queen EX Calibur Won't Kill Blitz (so Your Best Friend In The Entirety Of The Whole Game Is Blue Rose And Devil Bringer)

Some style switches were avoidable but damn... I am impressed with that Dante gameplay a lot. I always preferred Vergil and Nero though, as Dante seems really hard to master in my book.
Vergil might not be hard to play, but you're likely underestimating how big the road to mastering him is, although Dante probably still tops that. They both have extremely advanced techniques you wouldn't know about if you havn't looked it up before.
i didnt know how to beat him at the start so i jumped and shot him untill he lost his shild (only now i know how to beat him) and only now im getting to know new crap (like how useful the enemie jump thingie is)
found another way with Dante, i hadnt seen this video at that time so i had no idea how to even destroy his shield other than shooting him, well the one you figth in the room i used to destroy his shield from where the secret mission is, just when he jumped to hit me from behind his shield broke and he got traped in that little space, it just so happened that i used two some time and he just keep flinching over and over until i decided to give him a breath becouse his life wouldnt diminish more
As nero i spam charge shot 3 and the DT buster/grab unless there is a gyroblade in which case i just use that (because if you hit to its max spin speed and hit it twice with it like that equals dead blitz)
At mission 4, i use the best weapon in the game, the gyro blades 😂😂😂😂

I liked the way you used Attack/Royal Block Cancel, I used to use that in DMC3. Your Royal Guarding rocks! :D
i have another good way for taking down blitz shild. take gilgamesh and royal guard. then do the dive kick with gilgamesh on blitz and just when you hit him, "royal block" the electric damage. this will alow you to do another kick, block it and so on. you can do 3 kicks with one jump, 6 are needed to take down the shield.
Tip - You can control the number you get if you hit the block with one simple slice. i forget exactly the difference, but once you get the hang of it, it should be very easy. Notice the block starts at a number and when you hit it, it should flip on a very specific angle. try it.
It was vergil battle 1. I know that song like the back of my hand lol btw, excellent last fight with the blitz. That can't be taught what you just did, you just gotta have it to do that, I was impressed
Blitz demon is fast tho. You have to stun him first before taking his shield down. Because he’s quick, you can’t use these Lessons unless your Nero and you are pro at the game. But as Dante do not use the omen unless you can time it right and for the Upper cut attack he has to be stunned first
One fun fact about Blitz is that he’s actually blind and can’t see anything. But he has senes that will allow him to track his pray. But this causes him to attack other demons. So if You move he will sense you and attack you

Royal release
Sorry for the zombie reply. Royal Release does tons of damage to Blitz, but when Blitz has his yellow lightning on most/all attacks don't hurt him, they simply deplete the lightning's "health". Red Lightning mode is different, in that Blitz takes damage, but the red lightning keeps him from being staggered. That's why later on, the player kills Blitz in red lightning with two "empty" royal releases. Even without any rage in the gauge, royal release does decent damage.

Bruh, I know I'm late AF but easiest and quickest way to kill Blitz
Nero: 3/4 lvl3 charge shot for shield, DT showdown and 2 busters, should be glowing red, 1 lvl3 charge shot for SSS
Dante: Guard style: punch and counter at the same time (may need to remap controller buttons in settings) 3 or 4 times will break the shield, switch to swordmaster, use Fists( idk the name) and either do kick combos or charged uppercuts/dragon rise punches.
May need to redo shield break if he charges shield up but shield break only takes 2-3seconds so not bad.
Blitz is beast, as we saw at the end, he is able to onehit you. Blitz drives me crazy when mixed with others xD
with Nero I usually Charge Shot and then do Ground Buster with Summoned Sword spam and in about 3-4 Buster the Blitz is done with

You can actually kill the blitz with one DRI as opposed to two. You need to start out in human mode, DT after the first hit, go back into human mode, and repeat for all three hits.

never really knew how to effectively deal with this enemy.
Easy way to kill them with Nero is to Charged Shot 3 until shield is down, Devil Trigger and buster once, run towards him, buster again, charged shot 3 to knock him down after 2nd buster, then buster again. He'll have no health after that and will take 1 shot to kill while going red.
I used a different strategy to bring down shields with Dante. Royal Guard and Gilgamesh, hitting the attack and style button at the exact same time. Problem is now I'm so out of practice I can't pull it off anymore. And I have 4 special edition on the ps4 and the buttons aren't as close together. I have a hell of a time landing even one Distorted Real Impact, let alone two. The bastards won't sit still.
The way i do it is that i charge up the disaster gauge (to the max) and use that gunship thing that Pandora can transforn into press circle to shoot missles from all the holes of it (you can do it twice due to the disaster gauge basically being depleted)
I'm struggling to kill these with Virgil on Hell and Hell tbh

I think it's a great fight. It's an excellent test of skill for new players that forces you to think outside of the box.
no it forces u to wait for your gun to charge so u can release the button and start holding it again until his shield breaks. this enemy is almost as bad as the fallen from 3

Oh, and you might have forfot but you can use the swords from Nero's DT while beating the hell out of Blitz with the grab. Just for the little amount if binus damage.

If you have a multi button mouse, esp types like the Naga with side buttons for your inactive thumb or pinkey, set the charge gun to one of those buttons, whichever is most comfortable to you.
for me, I have an odd setup. I use 1-4 (Naga) to stance-dance with Dante, and 5 (normal resting position for my thumb) is set to charge gun. I cant play like Vadok, but it sure helps me a lot. If I had a pinkey button I'd change it to that, personally. But alas, the Naga does not have one.
There's an easier way to beat blitz I think,I just charge shot him until his shield goes down,then I buster him twice,after that I activate DT next to him and buster him again,the moment he hits the ground rush towards him with the sword(level 3 gauge for red queen is somewhat needed here) you'll have to be charging your gun this whole time,after you rush towards him you shoot him(with DT still on)and he'll usually die,if not use a simple maximum bet and you're good,if he somehow survives that too then just charge shot him again just keep in the air,it sounds long a difficult but it's quite easy
Nero btw,although really all the enemies are easy with nero,Dante is the problem lol

dude m playing in devil hunter mode please help me this fking demon is killing me like a killing machine,
blitz is easy if you
1. execute a table hopper ever second that passes
2. hold down charge button Keep HOLDING down charge button even when punching blitz and punching blitz in mid-air to inflict extra damage
3. Red Queen (in my opinion) Is Useless Against Blitz.
4. A Red Queen EX Shuffle Won't Kill Blitz
5. A Red Queen EX Calibur Won't Kill Blitz
(so Your Best Friend In The Entirety Of The Whole Game Is Blue Rose And Devil Bringer)
For me its just starfall with gilgamesh into royal guard till the shield dies, then just kill it however u want

Some style switches were avoidable but damn... I am impressed with that Dante gameplay a lot. I always preferred Vergil and Nero though, as Dante seems really hard to master in my book.
Vergil might not be hard to play, but you're likely underestimating how big the road to mastering him is, although Dante probably still tops that. They both have extremely advanced techniques you wouldn't know about if you havn't looked it up before.

i didnt know how to beat him at the start so i jumped and shot him untill he lost his shild (only now i know how to beat him) and only now im getting to know new crap (like how useful the enemie jump thingie is)
found another way with Dante, i hadnt seen this video at that time so i had no idea how to even destroy his shield other than shooting him, well the one you figth in the room i used to destroy his shield from where the secret mission is, just when he jumped to hit me from behind his shield broke and he got traped in that little space, it just so happened that i used two some time and he just keep flinching over and over until i decided to give him a breath becouse his life wouldnt diminish more

As nero i spam charge shot 3 and the DT buster/grab unless there is a gyroblade in which case i just use that (because if you hit to its max spin speed and hit it twice with it like that equals dead blitz)
