Nice review! I have the same gun in .45 ACP and it has run flawlessly for about 1.000 rounds. These guns are hand fitted by BUL Armory gunsmiths before leaving the factory. At this price point there is no real competition.
The Buls are underrated, great review and low-key teaching 😉👍🏾
Any chance of a review of the BUL Cherokee? (EAA Witness clone)...
I have several 1911's all in .45 but this Bul version is by far the best 1911 I have ever shot. I love it in 9mm. Great Post.
Just bought a used Springfield Loaded 1911... It's in California 10 day jail right now. Looking forward to it! The guy I bought it from did some upgrades to it and ran it in competitions.
Where did you buy one from
@@andys6385 I bought it used via a PPT... off of the calguns forum
Jeezy get out of there!
Got a colt series 80 in 45 and a Springfield armory ronin in 10mm both have had no issues of any kind love seeing 1911s beeing reviewed nice job!
As a old marine I have always been partial to the 1911 although I also really like my Beretta 92X performance. The Bul 1911 is a Beauty. 👍👍👍👍
Agreed 100% and thank you for your service. The Israeli's know how to make good weapons(Bul Armory).
How does the accuracy of the beretta compare to the 1911?
@@1pittmanj I do not have a 1911 at this time but I have fired them many times is the past and did work on the pistol range when officers were qualifying. Comparing the Beretta 92x Performance to a military issue Colt 45 would not be fair. I always liked the safeties on the 1911 both guns are easy to take down the Beretta is Beautifully made.
I never get tired of 1911 videos thank u!🙂
I do.
Cuz I'm a Poor.
@@AOMartialArts so am I but I still like to look at them! Dont lose hope
Thank you so much for all your videos and hard work. Your information and reviews have helped me decide which pistols to try before my first purchase. I definitely won't get anything as nice as that 1911, but there are a lot of options for 750 or less. Again, appreciate all you do brother!😎
600 rounds or so? that moment when you know the shortage is still going strong because even the Outlaw has to cut down on his round count…
@@TinS0lder so it's getting back to normal in TX? that's a good start i guess
No not if he had 45acp and not on the bandwagon of 9mm.
@@TheRealZJE313 9mm is the most popular defensive handgun caliber these days tho?
@@StevenL00 bullshit that's cause everyone is a Follower.and on the bandwagon of 9mm cause they want capacity.
@@TheRealZJE313 I think they bought into the FBI bs on the 9mm being no different than the 40cal and 45acp. Physics don't lie. Those have way more energy than 9mm. Money is the X factor on the agencies going back to 9mm.
In my opinion outlaw is the best gun channel available. I know I can trust his review. I bought a p07 because of him. Best carry pistol 🔫 I own.
My favorite gun guy on RUclips reviewing an example of my favorite gun. By the way Outlaw, yours was the recommendation I followed when I ordered a Staccato C2 just after Thanksgiving. Staccato delivered the gun last month and it was worth every penny. Not to mention that, because I’m a veteran, they knocked 15% off the purchase price. Thanks to you and Queen Outlaw for these great vids. Bless you both.
I have an older STI Guardian in 45. I love it. I'm going to add a C2 to my collection too, some day. 9mm seems to be the "standard" these days. Surprised Outlaw didn't mention the staccato by comparison. Love these reviews. Honest and to the point. Great coverage of the product. Thanks.
@@brianmacdonald3292 Yep. I’m a redhead, so by default, he’s my favorite gun guy on RUclips.
You think the staccato is better than the bul?
@@christopherguerrero3409 I think a gun in hand is better than one you can’t get. I have talked with the guys at BUL twice and they told me they’d contact me as soon as BUL started building guns again. No word as yet. I want an SAS II UL, but if I can’t buy a unicorn gun, there is no comparison between it and my Texas pistol.
That is absolutely beautiful. Just the sound of the slide wracking gives the me the impression that is was machined with precision and fit. Definitely tempted to invest in one.
Saw one of these nice 1911s last Sunday 9-19-21.Loved how easy the Slide racked, man that things smooth.Would like to have one.
I have a Bul 1911 commander in. 45acp. The slide operates like a well oiled piston
@@DHARMN00 As much as I would love to acquire one, I still have some savings to do. Based on your description it sounds like you are enjoying your purchase Sir.
It's fantastic, I've been asked of I've had it worked on, had to be honest and said no, that's out of the box. By not going with the trophy series, price range is about $800-900
Great video outlaw thank you. I also want to say that we are the ammo crisis and we here watching and filming these videos have the power to bring prices down.
I am as much to blame as anybody.
Best way to tell how well a gun is made are by the accuracy, parts used, how well they fit and, most importantly, wear patterns on parts. If a gun is put together properly, it exhibits wear patterns that mass produced guns just don't show.
No collection is complete without a 1911. What a beauty this one is
Great review. I have a Kimber LW 45 that I paid $600 for and I absolutely love it. I added G10 grips to it. It Has almost all the features this Bul Armory for the money it's a heck of a piece.
Thanks, great review, just bought one, and every review I have seen has been positive, but I have found your reviews quite down to earth and straight to the point, Cheers
Nice gun I always been a fan of 1911 is a real American classic
I really like smaller guns
Don't buy this one. Its made in israel
@@cobain2261 hows that matter? israel is an ally of the US. ig anything i would be sceptical of turkish made guns.
I'm so glad to see you do a 1911. Thanks for the info on your other 1911s.
I have a taurus coming up and I've done a rock island
@@HonestOutlawReviews definitely do a dual weld video.
I've always wanted to have a 1911 (because Magnum P.I. carried one). ; )
Nice review there sir.....Never heard of Bul Armory before but it looks like a nice 1911.....I have owned a lot of 1911's and for me if someone asked me what too buy in a $2,000 or less 1911 it would hands down be a Dan Wesson.....I currently have 2 1911's left in my arsenal and they are a Kimber target II 9mm & a Dan Wesson PM9 in 9mm and the PM9 is head and shoulders above the Kimber in ever way possible and the DW is the best bang for the buck 1911 I have ever owned.
I am from italy and I shoot this gun in IPSC Classic division. Runs great, great value and I just like the Gun in general. I did some minor upgrades but overall i just can recommend BUL in general. In fact i am waiting now for my new PCC, the BUL BL9 Hellfire
As always great review and thanks for your content
Love your videos and the interaction between you and the lady. Thanks!
Good looking pistol. Nice review and excellent shooting as always the Outlaw way. Thank you and your wife for all you do. ♠️☯️🎩
I've had my 1911 38 super from rock island armory, for 6 years cost me like $500.still a blast to shoot.
Believe it or not, I miss my Army M1911! Back in the late 80's when I was in the service a few of us had tinkered with our service pistols a little bit, polishing internals and such. Always a pleasure to shoot! I'm feeding my piggy bank as much as I can to get a 1911 to join my collection and the Bul Armory 1911 looks like the perfect candidate!
That's a great pistol. As a lefty an ambi-safety is a must have item for me. I would have considered Bul Armory for my 2011 but the models I liked didn't have an ambi-safety. I ended up going with the Staccato C2 in that case.
Couldn’t agree more I have now bought several Buls and the quality for the price is great. Bought a Colt for single stack USPSA for several 100’s more for not near the quaLaity . Sold the Colt bought the Bul never looked back and I run WC mags also . Thx always look forward to your reviews and by the way live in TN but married a IA farm girl so you range looks very familiar LOL. Hope you can do a review on the Laugo Alien
Wow! Great gun. Wish I had one. My budget range is around Springfield Armory and I would be happy with that. I've never shot one chambered in 9mm. I bet it's a blast. No pun intended.
You've got me thinking about a Bull Armory now. I dont own any 1911s but ive been looking for the right one. For me this may be it, but in 45 cause I don't have any handguns in 45.
i have a Bul Armory Desert Eagle 1911 .45...holy crap what a gun for under 1k!!! Love it! First gun I bought.
I've owned a sweet Bul Transmark M-5 for years and years. One of my fav's. Paid 750.00 ish Canadian back in the day.
That is a good looking 1911!!!!! I’m impressed with Bul Armory’s firearms, very well made.
Great video and review. Would love to see you do a Bul Armory 1911 vs. a Bul Armory SAS II.
The 1911 has always been my favorite.
My great granddad left me his, however, my aunt stole it the day I got it.
It was very loose as it was his service weapon.
God bless
I handled some Bul Armory 1911s a couple of years ago at TriggrCon. They were very impressive. However I think the build quality of my Sig STX (.45 ACP) is at least a very close match. Runs like a top, will feed empty cases, the slide is well-fitted and runs slick, and it has a great trigger and is very accurate. Last I looked, if was a few hundred dollars less than this Bul. Not that I don't want a Bul too!
A lady friend of mine swears by her Ed Brown.
I had a Remington 1911 45 and now have a kimber micro 9. And rock islands are awesome.
I couldn't agree with you more on Bul Armory single stacks. 2020 I bought 2 of their "Classic's" 1 in 40 and the other in 45. Sold the 40 to a good friend. The 45acp is now running 45Super ammo. It's a great 1911 for under $900.00
Exceptional review. Thanks!
I put a 25lpi magwell main spring on my Kimber it fits beautiful just like this one does, it stays tight and fits my VZ alien grips perfectly too
Looks solid and 1911’s are awesome. The Misses handled this one better than the last two. She was handling that recoil. My only problem is I can never find 45 ACP for sale. 😂
Cool gun. Cant wait til the ammo crisis is over. $350-750 for 1k rounds of 9mm hurts my heart and my bank account. I was looking at two rock island double stacks yesterday. One with a bushing and one with a bull barrel. Bout to search your channel for info on them. Thanks again for the quality content. Hope it’s warming up in the frozen north
That is a nice 1911! I have a Colt series 80. Previously had a series 70, but sold it years ago. I am a 1911 fan!
I've said this a million times, 1911 is my favorite pistol, badass as they are beautiful, with the best trigger in the business. Even bad 1911s are great guns lol
9mm 1911s are real cool. I've always wanted a 1911 in .40s&w.
Great video
I'm a huge 1911 and 40s&w fan. I've got 12 1911's chambered in 40s&w. From many different manufacturers. Now if only I could afford some more ammo.
@@kcgunzz3416 12 ? Holy shit
12 1911s in 40cal?? Wow.. I have trouble finding 1
@@blbbtactical6969 to be fair, I've owned most of them for a number of years. But they're still out there. Rock Island armory makes a real nice one. Good luck.
11:05 I would say the one of the lowest price 1911s is the ATI FX45 for about $350. I got one literally because of that price and it's more faithful repro of an old GI 1911A1. Oddly it ran flawlessly on a quick 250 rounds. Wouldn't necessarily trust my life to it, but it's a fun project gun to learn 1911s on.
Beautiful gun and great video. Thanks!
Since you asked, I have something over 6000 rds through my BUL .45ACP and just under 1000 rds through my 9. My mags of choice are the Wilson Elite Tactical stainless and recently added some Nighthawk mags which have proven reliable. My opinion would be to buy the Trophy.
Just ordered the 6" Target version! :D Great video, i hope mine is as good as this.
Always love a new 1911 , looks very nice for the money. I paid $525 for my ruger 1911 I think it is king of the $500 to $600 range .
Nice example. I would put it on par with the Springfield Armory TRP 1911 for the price point.
Good review, keep up the good work!
Thanks to the Covid relief program, this gun now only costs $300. 😀😁
That’s one way to look at it.
Lame
Where at ?
@@mr.sluggz5420 $300 + your Covid-19 checks. Get it?
@@lancecahill5486 sorry I have to work for my checks 😔
One day, I’ll own one of these beauties!💜
Honest - If Bul can get you one - I’d get the Trophy Saw edition with the TiN barrel rather than the Classic -the wrap around slide cuts are both really cool looking and add a lot to your slide manipulation - agree that the trigger is on par with much more expensive 1911’s
Kitted it out with a silver carbon fiber RTH holster with brass retention screws and Armanov asymmetrical CNC’d grips - which IMO are the best 1911 grips out there - found them thanks to your
I primarily compete with CO mainly cause Im a bit near sighted - but this will be the one iron sight gun I keep
Just a blast to shoot - and extremely accurate even at full speed
Great review...as always!
Any Kimber reviews coming up? The two-tones are so classy looking.
There's a major reason I love about Wilson, Lifetime warranty !!!! There customer service if you need any is 1st class !!!
Wish I could have a 1911 lol such a desirable piece! Love you vids outlaw 👍
I have had the commander version of this gun for 3 years. It it a tack driver the finest gun I have for the money and I am blessed with many great guns including staccato p and a CZ TS2 sport walther q series steel frames.pound for pound and for the cash best gun I own . My canik rival is my next best gun for the cash it to is an amazing shooter.
You the man Outlaw!
Outlaw, where’s the 10’ of snow lol i know you’re happy dude.... great show man 👍👍👍👍👍
Hopefully you do a Review for the Spirngfield Armory .45 ACP Emissary!
Since you love 1911's lets see how it holds up against other 1911's you've reviewed.
Super nice 👍🏾
Thanks for sharing Man ...🥂
I have a fairly inexpensive 1911 browning 380 .its a light weight easy to function for my messed up thumb.. I reccomend it for a starter for women.
I don’t own a 1911 yet. Beautiful iconic handguns. And damn that trigger is so crispy. Anyone have suggestions for more budget friendly variants? I’d like to see the rock island and some you mentioned in action
Wilson Combat is the best mags I have been using them in the 80's tried them all.
amazing video man, and honestly this is a great gun. Could you get a hold of and test the Israeli-made 1911s marketed under magnum research, specifically called the desert eagle 1911 C?
Another awsome review !
9mm is the most common caliber, therefore probably the best buy, most likely to be purchased as a first handgun and in these times, most ecconomical to shoot (of the primer fired rounds). I have a 9 and I reload 9, however I am interested in moving toward a 45 or a 38 Special. Have you considered doing a video on choosing a different caliber or a video on buying your second gun? I think it would be beneficial to hear your opinion on purchasing a second gun.
Got a SS in 9mm, a yr. 1/2 ago one of the best
have seen. I have a couple & been shooting them for more then 60 yrs. A friend bought 1 in 9mm & 1 in .45 acp loves them both !! He found me this 9 mm. Got 2 more after ,SIG & Citadel by R. I. with a couple refinements it is also very fine also ! did not take much !!
My Desert Eagle 1911 is the best 1911 for the cost.. When I got it the cost was 700ish.. beautiful weapon. Super tight. No malfunctions after 1200ish rds.
Might be an exception but the first 1911 I ever shot was a BUL in 9mm and it had many malfunctions. Probably because it was a range rental gun.
I was a little surprised that when naming the manufacturers of current and notable 1911's, that you didn't name Ruger ... While they are not known for 1911's, they do make rugged and accurate firearms, right here in the USA ... they have the SR1911 which is a 5" Stainless Steel .45 acp pistol, that is not only beautiful, with all the skeletonized features, as well as amazing wood grips. A good trigger ... and when I bought mine a few years ago, about a $700 price tag.
I'm staring at Bul Armory really hard...I'm liking Springfields stuff also( the emissary looks really nice). I have a buddy who has the American classic 2 1911 by Metro in stainless finish. Man! That thing is nice also for the price....so many choices, and not enough $$$ to get them all...lol.
I bought a Colt classic 1911 series 70 last year before they were bought out by CZ. It’s a shame that an American Icon was sold to a foreign company, but this is my only 1911 and I’m glad I bought it!
@Chris George My personal go to carry is a S&W 649 chambered in 357, I just like revolvers. But I still think one of the all time best looking guns is a plain jane Colt Government Model!
@Chris George Nice, Galco is another fantastic American brand. 1911 and leather, I like it!
@Chris George I have several Galco holsters, they’re my go to for EDC. I also like using their shoulder holsters when I ride my motorcycle,
Great review!
I have the commander in 9mm and love it! It’s my no BS edc
Awesome. Really wanna know how the Bul Armory tac government in 45acp is. It’s prices around $900
Looking forward to my sas ultralight, been on order since mid june
Dual wield YES! Question… How would you compare this pistol to a tricked out RIA TAC ULTRA FS HC? I realize this is a 1911 vs a 2011 comparison but by the time you send the RIA out for modifications/improvements there’s not a lot of difference in cost.. My usage will primarily be as a range gun/home defense… I’m also considering a Shadow 2 SA (and adding the 22 conversion kit for less expensive range use - just fun.) Your thoughts?
Great review! Any opinion on the Sig Max Michel for 500 less
Love my TRP Operator full rail. Would never get rid of it
I have 24 1911s in my collection and I shoot them all. Of the 24, three are BUL 1911 Classics. 45 ACP, 9mm, and a 9X23 Win ( Rechambered and re-sprung by BUL ) The fourth is a 38 Super EDC Double Stack . Unquestionably the BUL Armory is the best value 1911 in the market today. In my opinion the BUL is a $2500 gun with a $1200 price tag. Outlaw, just one question, why would some folks be bothered about the BUL being made in Israel ?
I'm curious as to your Ed Brown KC9. Any updates or issues with the pistol. I'm highly considering purchasing one and of all the RUclips "reviewers", I truely take your opinion above most.
I'm wanting it as a conceal although I'm hesitant simply due to the single stack. I realize stats move towards the 2 to 3 rounds fired in most senerios.
I appreciate your channel and your reviews.
God Bless,
Jerry B
You missed a step. Between the BUL and the Wilson there is the Les Baer. Beautiful, runs like clockwork, crazy accurate. It’s got this thoroughbred feel. It just loves to run. It *wants* to run.
The Wilson combats are like unavailable supermodels to me. I want to put it on a shelf and display it. May even say “never fired” when It comes time to sell it. The Les Baer is Supermodel pretty “and” it’s like that girl in college that you just can’t get enough of. It’s enchanting. There is something sensual and addictive about shooting it.
What about Rock River Arms?
Girsan 9mm, bull barrel, solid platform that I got.... worth the risk of investment
Nice looking pistol. Appears to compare favorably to Dan Wesson PM-9. (Add grips & magwell to PM9 and you're at the same price point) There goes the covid check?
I have this exact gun except that mine is .45 ACP and I bought mine used for around $700 used about 5 years ago when BUL was making these for Desert Eagle... LOL. :)
If I could justify spending that much on a 1911, I'd get one. However my range officer is way more 1911 than I need.
Great review, Outlaw. Did you go ahead and purchase that pistol, as you mentioned you might do? Just curious.
I have a magnum research 1911c made by bul and its fantastic. When you rack the slide on it its as smooth as glass the trigger pull is right at 3lbs right out of the box.
I have the same. It's easily as good as, if not better than, pistols costing $100s more.
Hey guys same here. I got mine home upgraded the sights to night sights, made a nice set of burl wood grips and then fit and tuned a Wilson combat bulletproof extractor. The slide to frame fit feels like it rides on ball-bearins. Have about 3k rounds through it and it hasn't missed a beat, it chews up any type of ammo I put in it. Trigger is a crisp 3lb and nothing needed to make it better. Paid $700 handles and shoots like a $2k + 1911.
I have a Sig Traditional Match,
Sigs are just awesome 👌
damn never been this early before too broke to afford this
Wow this looks very much like my (2016??) S/A TRP operator. Very similat features and price
Just got the Operator 10mm, not the soft shooter the 9 is, but it's very nice
I'm not a big fan of Colt or Kimber, I've owned several of both and have spent $600-$800 to make them reliable. My best lower end pistols are Rock River/Citadel, great guns for the price point.
I just got this in the government model (not Trophy) so it is missing some of the features but is about half the price. Shoots great and love it
Only complaint I have about my particular gun is that it doesn’t hold open on the last round with my Wilson Combat mags. I will also upgrade to a fiber optic front sight. Other than that it is a great gun
@@Taz3459 I'm getting the 1911 Classic also because the Trophy Classic is OOS everywhere. Will be upgrading some parts as well. Dawson has the FO front sight for the Desert Eagle 1911G that should fit.
Damn... that's a pretty gun!!! Love it!
I have been seriously considering their SAS II Ultralight R. However, that price-point is close to the Staccato C2. I know they both are quality but which one would you recommend after owning both brands?
please try the Bul SAS ii TAC 4.25”? love to see a video on it
Great video, now I want one. Where would be the best place to get one? Any help would be appreciated.
I love the classic look of 1911s but I don’t think I’ll ever get one cause my hands are too small
