    Can totally feel your holy spirits shining through and that you've got passion for coaching! I love this field as well and just transitioned from life coaching to christian life coaching incorporating prayer and the Word of God to help people grow faith to make the leaps that they'd like to take!

    I love that you shared that God gives us a step or two at a time and does not lay everything out there at once. I am grateful for that as well!

      Thank you, Kellie. I appreciate your feedback. God gives us what we can handle at the moment. His sense of timing is impeccable - and He also mixes it with a sense of humor, just for fun. God bless you!

    LIFE COACHING OR SPIRITUAL DIRECTERS FOR PEOPLE PEOPLE HAVE HARD JUDGEMENT AND OPINIONS ABOUT PEOPLE SO A COACH OR DIRECTIER COULD TELL PEOPLE NOT TO ASSOCIATE WITH THE PERSONS FRIENDS A COACH COULD SERVE TO BREAK FRIENDS APART SO NO A COACH OR SPIRTUAL DIRECTOR IS A WRONG WAY TO GO

      If you think we’ve missed the boat somewhere, I’d appreciate hearing your perspective. Just saying, “It sounds like a lot of cherry picking scripture” doesn’t give me anything to go on other than you apparently don’t agree with our position. If you don’t agree, that’s fine. Let me know why. Let’s have a discussion about it so that everyone can learn something.

      @@GarySmithCoaching no mean of disrespect .... I've been in the Word of Faith space for a over 24yrs and I don't believe coaching people or God's people with Taylor custom scripture being taking out of context?

    • @GarySmithCoaching
      @GarySmithCoaching  3 месяца назад

      I did not take your comment as meaning any disrespect, but merely questioning. I have been a Christian for over 40 years and have built my consulting and coaching business on Biblical principles. I believe in helping people discover their unique callings through the use and understanding of scripture. I am certainly not perfect, but I strive to never take any scripture out of context. I do my homework and make sure that I take the time to understand the context of scripture, including the person writing it, the language being used, and both the historical and social environment. That is why I am interested in your point of view. If I am ever out of line with my interpretation of scripture, I am always open to reproof and correction. I appreciate you, Noe.

      My precautions come from a place of are really using scripture in context or are we using the Word od God for personal edification and /or is it safe in order to help someone understand the will of God for there life ?
      For example when state Matt. 18... when two or more are in agreement...is it safe to use the phrase to show agreement of what one might be "believing God for"(prayer)....but are neglecting the truth of Jesus explaining how to deal sin in the church?
      Most believers probably haven't ever even realized why he said this ....but have a used this particular verse for there selves or compassionately someone else (good intentions) but are we miss using the word of God causing us to only focus on ourselves and what we can get ,instead of contextually understanding the meaning?
