Ahhhh, my favorite deck type. I had a great zombie sacrifice deck before last years rotation and this is giving me the exact same vibes. Can’t wait to try it.
Been waiting for this archetype. Very cool tribe esp with all the support. Surprised but not that it tested out to actually be better to run it as a sac deck instead of something else, I like how aggressive it is anyway. Cgb did a similar sac strategy. It's cool (and I like orzhov)
A lot of these Phyrexians decks (be they aggro or sac focused) seem to forget about Secluded Courtyard. Idk if that’s intentional since it won’t pay for removal/Hive, but seems worth using at least 2 copies
I thought that too when I was putting mine together but seedcore does the same thing plus it buffs the 1/1s. You wouldn't want too many or you'd run into situations where you can't play your non creature spells as consistenly. 4 seems right since it is only 2 colors.
Everytime I play Mario Kart with my nephew, he complains that "you are just winning because you are picking the best character" no matter Who I choose. This is how I feel watching you playing any deck lol

Great video! You're my favorite MTG creator for how you carefully consider and explain all your decision making and other possible plays you could have made. I didn't see it come up in any of the games, but Invasion of New Capenna can sac a creature or an artifact, so you can sac an unflipped incubator if you need to. You also could have sacced a clue at 16:30, although it didn't really matter too much.
I'm still trying to figure out if Battles are good, or more of a distraction on the play field. I suppose if the front ability is good enough to use, and the mana is right, they may be worth playing. Great content as always Luca!
Disclaimer: Haven't seen the video yet! Been playing a Mono Black Drivnod deck with lots of death triggers and the triggers on Vraan do not proc twice when Drivnod is in play. Anything that reads "This ability triggers only once each turn" can't proc twice, even if an effect would make a standard ability proc twice, just like how a second creature dying wouldn't cause a trigger.
Why doesnt Drivnod work with "Exploit" sacrifice ability cards. The Exploit sacrifice triggers the new permanent but yet Drivnod doesnt do anything for it.
It was mentioned durind deck review. It was a solid pick for the deck, but LVD wanted to show more of Orzov-sac part of the deck and stated that with inquisitor, that puts +1/+1 on transformations it definetly could fit here. But if you want - you could then see "shark incubate" video that feature WU deck that focus around incubations and use Cat there :)

I think the Cat is still good for sac version since you make multiple permanentes for just 1 card and its a great mana sink, going by some games played by another player in the early access seems that this kind of deck wants it too
I've been trying out an Abzan Elesh deck in Hystoric and I've had quite a bit of success with it, Phyrexian Censor is very strong slowing down a lot of decks. Did you consider including a few copies or not good enough for Standard?

But yes i can now Confirm: Maskwood Nexus allows non Human Werewolves to transform with Tovolar It can let already transformed permanents transform back It can transform Battles that have been turned into creatures Incubator tokens will transform back into non creature artifacts If you create a token copy of a transforming permanent and that token is made into a creature, Progenitor Exarch, Sunder the Gateway, and chapter one of Argent Etchings will transform them Praetors that transform back from their sagas early keep their lore counters Mutagen Connoisseur still sees permanents that are transformed back to their front sides with Tovolar as transformed.---this one may be wrong. Battles that transform into creatures the regular way by removing defense counters do not turn back into Battles they go to the graveyard. Kamigawa Saga creatures that transformed from their chapter 3 triggers will turn back into sagas with no lore counters and have to go through a draw step to start chapter 1 again( basically means you can't use proliferate and transform shenanigans to cycle a saga multiples times in a single turn unless you have a way to add a lore counter specifically) SIDE NOTE -- Vorinclex, Monstrous Raider makes your battles enter with double defense counters and your opponent's battles enter with half (basically "protect" does not count as "control")
Would be great if you could post your W/L with decks. I tried this deck and got my face stomped nonstop. Not once did I ever get even remotely close to winning.
I always recommend to people that are tight on wildcards to wait a week or so after a video is posted so Untapped has time to gather more data on the deck. That way you’ll get a much bigger sample size and a more honest representation of a deck. Whatever data I gather is going to pale in comparison and will be skewed by lots of factors such as play/draw and the surprise factor of an unknown deck which wears off after a few days. That’s why you won’t see me claim any outlandish win rates in my video titles, an individual will rarely play enough games for those numbers to be statistically accurate. But I’m always happy to give my opinion on a deck at the end of each video. This was recorded in Early Access, where the meta doesn't reflect the ranked ladder.

As you can see I recorded 8 videos during the 24 hrs that the early access event was live, so would not have the time to record many more games than the ones that were shown. Untapped didn't keep track of my games on the preview account, so don't have any data. Don't recall losing many games during the entirety of the event though.

One thing I found with vran and drivnod is that drivnod can’t copy Vran’s triggered ability since it says it only happens once per turn
I've tried this combo a couple weeks ago and can confirm. Vraan's ability can only trigger once.

Are you sure Drivnod works with Vraan? He specifically say that his ability activates only one per turn.
