      Hey my husband is a hospital corpsman in the navy , we live in Cali but do not want to buy a home here too expensive and we want to buy a home in Texas near family . We have a special needs child . My husband wants to be a nurse but I do not want to be here in Cali the moving around lifestyle for orders every few years is not for us anymore so wondering if he should cross over to a recruiter that way we can move to Texas and he doesn’t have to get out right away go to the reserves. Any advice 😊?????

      @tamaraYvonne02 Your husband is pure scum who for a living lies to desperate young kids and convinces them to throw their lives away. People have committed suicide because of your husband when they find out that they k**led people because of lies. The cowardice and moral weakness of people like your husband and @rubenrecuitz4716 have made this country worse. I just wanted you to know that.

    Newly promoted E-5 going to make a year in August i am trying to decide if I want to be a recruiter or Go to DS school I am army reservist and a old man 31 years old. Should I wait until I get my e-6 before I choose one or the other?

    • @rubenrecruitz4716
      @rubenrecruitz4716  4 года назад +1

      Kirk. Taylor Congratulations on making SGT and also welcome to the NCO Corp. Both of these two broadening opportunities are great career move for you. As a newly promoted SGT you are on the process of defining your leadership skills. With more rank on you more responsibility will come to you. I was a DA selected Recruiter so I didn’t have a choice to pick from. I’ll give you my personal option and why. If I was in your shoes I would go with Drill Sergeant. The reason why I would do DS is because it gives you the opportunity to make and shape civilians into Soldiers. Even though the recruiter is part of the generating force mission for the Army. The DS will influence the Soldier way more by providing the fundamentals of what’s to be a Soldier. But for you it will teach you so much leadership skills and allowed you to practice those skills with different type of Soldiers. I hope this help you with your decision and also encourage you to do either DS or Recruiting. Both will be a great career advancement for your future. Go Army 🇺🇸

      @rubenrecruitz4716  4 года назад +3

      Multi Meter Hey thank you for stopping by the channel. Recruiting is considered a broadening assignment so in the eyes of future advancement promotion considerations it will looks good on you. But like any other job it has pros and cons and you just have to learn how to balance and don’t allow the negative portion take away from the good ones. You will have to make your mission every month and this can put some stress on you. But what I learn in my 2 years as a recruiter is that on your NCOER recruiting is only 30% of the content writing. The rest is you going outside the box and doing things other don’t want to do. Remember when you come to do recruiting duty you will be leaving your MOS and what you know best for a period of time. As detail recruiter you will not be the subject matter expert. So don’t be shy to ask and learn to become the subject matter of expert. Eventually like myself you will leave recruiting duty and bring your experience back to the force to mentor those who come after you. I hope this help you make your decision and if you don’t do recruiting please do another broadening duty because it will help you big time.

      Ruben Recruitz I respect the army but I feel like other branches will treat you better and have better food and all the benefits in the branch are the same but the thing I learned is find the spot for the puzzle piece and see where it fits and doing your reach is good and asking the toughest questions are also good because recruiters can leave stuff out they just want to get you in the branch and you might see them again you might not but trusting your gut is good and the list goes on

All branches concentrate in a different military operation. But at the end o the day we’re all a big military family and all work under the same department which is DOD. But yeah definitely shop around and see what fit best for you.

    My husband is active duty stationed OCONUS, he is very seriously considering putting in a packet for recruiting. His biggest concern is duty station assignment after ARC, do you know how common it is to get one of your top 3 locations?

    • @rubenrecruitz4716
      @rubenrecruitz4716  5 лет назад

      Aleshia Loftis Thank you for stoping by the channel 🙏🏼. So when it comes to assignments is easier to get your top 3 when you volunteer. So tell him to put his packet in with his top 3 location. The HRC recruiting branch will pick one of those top 3 depending on slot availability. But since you guys are overseas they will have y’all PCS to the location before he goes to ARC. Let me know if he need any other advice. Thank you again

  • @fezzik7619
    @fezzik7619 3 года назад +1

    I appreciate your service. I have to ask some questions though. When you’re trained as a recruiter are you taught to tell potential soldiers all possible outcomes of military life? Do your brochures show pictures of soldiers at Walter Reed with limbs blown off as well as a cool pics of parachuting and all the sweet artillery and tech they get to use? Do they talk about homeless and suicide rates being higher amongst veterans due to PTSD? Before you go dismissing my pessimism these questions ARE important because while I don’t discourage soldiery I do discourage anyone from talking to impressionable youth about a life-altering decision without laying ALL of the cards on the table.

    • @jonh7480
      @jonh7480 3 года назад

      Go away. Those are obviously all potentials. However, they also have to do in a large part with choices after the military. PTSD is treated via the Department of Veterans Affairs. The military gives countless people opportunities! You seem to have a vendetta. Take it else where. Good day ma'am.

      @@drifto616 Look dude I've had my own experiences in Afghanistan. I don't know about all of the WWII/Korean war Vets, but anything that general public would consider unsavory, and in current society any death was warranted. Make your own determinations, but I'm proud of my service and continued service. I won't speak for a previous era, but neither should you bring that you've never served.... That goes along with ALL aspects of service. The VA will treat you, but plenty of dudes don't want treatment. Only if it's on their terms. That's not treatment if you're prescribing, medication/therapy, for yourself.

    How long must a new soldier be in the army before requesting to become a recruiter? And do you get the location you asked for?

    • @rubenrecruitz4716
      @rubenrecruitz4716  4 года назад +2

      Nicholas Nevares Thank you for stopping by the channel. So in order to become a Army Recruiter you’ll have to be minimum a Sergeant/E5. There’s two way you can become a Recruiter. Department of the Army (DA) selected or submit a volunteer packet once you make Sergeant. Volunteer normally get their top three wish location granted and DA selected still get to submit a wish list but is not guarantee they’ll get top three. Now DA selected is a good thing because that means that you’re top 20% of your MOS branch. If you a 11B and you get DA selected that means you’re top 20% of the Infantry Branch. Hope this help and thank you for stopping by again.

      @@thewrenchmaster122 Let me be clear - MANY charges that result in being arrested will be disqualifying from military service. The DoD wants to ensure that anyone coming in have moral character; not just anyone can join. Some misdemeanors can be waived via Moral Waivers, and that’s also up to the recruiters’ discretions if they want to work with you. If you get any kind of felony, you can forget about it. Don’t waste the recruiter’s time or yours because all prior felony charges will disqualify you. If it’s a situation where the charge was dropped, acquitted, expunged etc, that might be something to ask.
      If you lie to the recruiters and even MEPS personnel about a criminal charge, you will be found out. It is mandatory that all applicants go thru an FBI background check. If and when you are found out, you are done. If you are found out while having made it into your military service, you could be arrested and serve sentence under UCMJ before kicked out for fraudulent enlistment; this type of charge is taken serious
      Long-story short, some misdemeanors are waiverable. The rest, and all felonies, are not

      Lawanduuhhh !! Thank you for stopping by the channel. I truly respect your opinion and your views. The Army as a organization has zero tolerance when it come to sexual harassment and sexual assault. But inside the organization there are some sick evil people that need to be taken out off our ranks because they have degraded the Army values and attributes that all Soldiers live by. What happen to Vanessa Guillen is horrible and as a dad of a young girl I’m in pain with her family. The monster was not a Soldier he was a coward who took his life before we can get justice for Vanessa. The unit fail her and the post as well. It was to late in her case this animal took her away from us. I hope you can see that this event those not represent the entire Army. Majority of us serve our nation and live our Army values with pride. Trust me, Vanessa will change this organization for the best and is about time we get rid off all this cowards within our formation who should not be here degrading our great Army and all the amazing service members who put their life on the line everyu day for this nation. Thank you again for stopping by.
