Even though you were obviously very young here, it is a very interesting performance. This is a very exciting and very Italian movement, a saltarella (an Italian dance very similar to tarantella) Your pulse is very spontaneous (you made me dance). I love the trills. Even though it is in G minor it is a very lively but, at the same time, dramatic movement. It is very virtuosic, as well but in a way that's pleasing to the ear. This concerto has obvious influence of other composers. I like the first movement best, however. I enjoyed it even though the video sound quality is not good. Bravo!!

My favorite Tarantella/Dance of the Devil (Mov.III) from the great Camille Saint-Saëns! My God, Daniil, how old are you in this performance... 13, 14... wow! For me, it is the French great Philippe Entremont who gives the definitive performance of this concerto on historical record. I have listened to many others such as Cecile Licad (live) and André Watts, but this performance is great. For someone so young to have a grasp of Saint-Saën’s musicality and spirit is very refreshing. I wish I could be in the audience at your upcoming performance in April 2020 at RFH (Royal Festival Hall) in London when you will perform Tchaikovsky I. Hmm... I wonder if RFH does Live Streaming? Kudos to a great career, Young Maestro! I’ve got my ears on you 🤓
