I'm a little surprised but not that surprised. Notre Dame is one of those programs that's usually stiff at linebacker and those types of programs usually cause these triple option teams problems.
Ok, I get that Navy benefited from a soft schedule outside of Memphis (and even then Memphis played like 1 team with a current winning record). This outcome was forseeable. That said, I'm seeing some trash talk here and really wish CFB fans had a lot more respect for the service academies. No matter how good or bad their football teams are, these kids are going to serve YOUR country (if you're from the U.S. like most CFB fans). Many of them will be risking their lives to protect your right to trash talk them here and elsewhere online. Grow up. Show some respect.

If Navy hadn't turned the ball over, Notre Dame would have given up a few more field goals. They were never winning this game. They need to focus on memorizing formations and battle plans for life after football.
Eh, Navy couldn't stop ND's offense. Even if you take away some of the bad turnovers, Navy still isn't keeping ND from taking up residence in Navy's endzone. Not to mention, that's kind of ND's gameplan on defense. They are fine with giving up some yards in the early and mid field, but they clamp down in their own territory, and do a lot of shifts and stunts to confuse the offense.

Navy had no chance of winning today against a good team like Notre Dame. The Fighting Irish dominated the game from start to finish, with Jeremiyah Love rushing for 102 yards and 2 touchdowns, and quarterback Riley Leonard adding 178 passing yards and 2 touchdowns🏈🏈🏈🏈🏈

The service academies can not recruit the same level of talent due to the service commitment and they can't even be similar in athletic builds due to the academies having strict weight requirements. That's why they rely on trick plays and old school formations because they lack a Oline for traditional protection. There's just no way they can compete with any top cfb team with such handicaps
@unfilteredcaster6261 Robbie is generally an idiot, but he's actually got a point for once. The purpose of these academies is to prepare military officers, not pro athletes. And while it's nice to see their football teams do relatively well, sports isn't really a priority for them the way it is for a lot of big schools that lean on athletics. And it wouldn't feel right if sports became a bigger priority than service.
