I had a brand new Venue 2022. I loved it. 2 months after buying, someone went to sleep driving & slammed into it while it was parked in front of the house. Totaled it. 😢
The only replacement for a Venue is another one, unless your needs change (more kids/large dog.) I had to replace a totalled '22. Got a '23 and feel whole again.
@@racineurr.8924 it's the lowest-priced vehicle in Hyundai's lineup. People generally don't start at the top. No arrogance intended. I've never paid more than $20k for a car.
Imo without awd it is not an "suv" but merely a lifted econo hatchback . it is a replacement for the hatch accent . this is an ok vehicle for what it is but it is not a suv
👍🏻👍🏻 Someone has to do it G. P. Down in the trenches that's where the respect is earned. If you never had to drive a Hyundai Venue, you could never really appreciate the ones the rest of of only dream of driving, let alone owning.
I'm in PA too. AWD isn't needed. Just throw on some Blizzaks and you will be good to go. Unless of course you live on a steep incline like in South Bethlehem or something
I got the 2023 Elantra and my wife had a 2018 Sonata fully loaded was involved in a hit run now we have a fully loaded Mazda cx9 grand touring for her .

It's a convenience. You never have to take your key out of your pocket or purse. Just walk up, push the unlock button on the handle, get in, and press start. It's not massively necessary, but nice. Also, Hyundais with a key start are having issues with theft.
@@palebeachbum Lord, how lazy people have become. As for the theft issue, I need to know more about that. Never heard Souls and Venues were thieve's favorites.
@@racineurr.8924 conveniences are rarely necessities. As I said, "it's not massively necessary, but nice to have." Hyundai and Kia vehicles with a key start ignition have had a huge theft problem because they're easier to steal. Google it if you want to know more.
Do the math, the Soul is heavier and has a larger engine to compensate. Real World mpg will be higher. The Soul makes more sense in a one car family. Two cars, two people, a compact SUV for utility, a Venue for driving fun and fuel economy.
@@imee8825 Originally Hyundai offered very reasonable credit terms to folks with iffy credit. Moved a lot of stock and the improved car quality got them accepted. But iffy credit often came with iffy driving records, so Car Insurance companies demanded higher rates. As Kia/Hyundai became more mainstream so did the buyers. So the insurance rates dropped. As if. Glad i found this video. Proud owner of my first ever new vehicle, 2024 Venue. Love it ❤
Me too congratulations sunroof and remote😂happy!!!
yes me too first new car ever, but I can't figure out how to open the trunk
Just purchased mine two weeks ago and I'm loving it!
A $20K hatch is exactly what America has been asking for, in an industry now with $40,000 CRVs.

The replacement car was a 2020 Kona. I like the Kona, but it was originally my second choice.
You live in Ohio because someone in the town over had the same issue!

Venue seems like a nice starter vehicle. Stylish, affordable, practical, with good build quality.
Why "starter"? I sense arrogance here.

Amazing review bro.

Thanks for the review. Venue is available in other markets with 1 liter 3 cylinder turbo mated to a DCT.

2021 Sel if you Baby it you can average 40mpg. Only problem is the fuel door cable went slack and you have to play with it to open.
Same with 2024 model. Not all the time but more than enough to be an annoyance
@@ecmg8368 Hyundai said call dealer, I'll do it with recalls for now I just leave door open. Thanks for the heads-up.
Love it, but lack of AWD has me hesitant! Great review, good detail, thanks !
This would've have be my very first vehicle.
I just see my city in the back ❤️
Sharp subcompact type crossover/mini-suv. Another good review. Thank you
Love this suv

Under $20k in what country??
Had to stop using my dealer's complimentary maintenance. Every time I had the oil changed it was overfilled.
Some great RUclips videos on changing oil. I wanted to use Castrol Edge oil so I did it myself.
I just got one also green apple. Love this
Mighty little whip
I absolutely love my 2022 Venue.
2024 Venue or 2024 Nissan Kicks ? Which do you prefer ?
venue hatch
Is it pretty much a Hyundai version of the KIA Soul?
Completely different car; Soul is a hauler, Venue is a runabout. Couple with one child-Soul. Past kids guy/gal who loves twisty roads and responr-Venu
I sort of like the key for my 23, old fashioned guy, but if the battery fob dies, I can still get in and start it-I Think

Did I hear Venues have constant velocity transmission?
Yes but I don't know what that is or means. Can you explain it?
@@barb9551 It's probably more popularly known as continuously variable transmission--the one with the belt and pulley system to vary the gear ratio.
Very cool.😊

Im about to do a grren goblin theme to mines
I bought one 🎉
after the add ons and interests add on the total price is over 40 thousand
Screw loose??
Same powertrain as the Accent with much worse fuel economy. I will pass. An Elantra SE is a better buy.
Question; Wasn't it a bit dangerous to do your testing on a snow day? Really come on, man..
Haha I can imagine if someone is not used to it yea. I've never been in an accident so must be doing something right. 😁
It snows on work days too my friend. Not everyone lives in California

NO! Don't do Souls! I'm trying to get rid of mine. They are having issues woth being stolen and insurance is out the ass expensive!

It is kinda small when you see it in person, especially since there's not really much if a trunk, but it's a bit taller than most sedans
