Whenever I watch/listen to this I'd like to think that Cyan would be immune to Medusa's attacks since it's blue or cyan like him and for Hal he would be immune to Cube's "pink" attacks since he's pink (kinda) himself. Both cube heroes need to face these two even tho one of them was once an ally which will be cured from the corruption (Cube) while the other needs to be defeated. (Medusa)

The two best square battles of all time. The two square battles that gave me the most trouble. The two best square games?! I also love how this is only Black Heart.
Now I'm just thinking back to my crossover AU of PA & JSAB where Hal and Medusa (Nowo is also part of this friendship, but this isn't about them!) set aside differences and became friends, sometime after that, a war broke out in the land of Arrhythmia and the trio had to go to Paradise for refuge, and despite Cyan kicking out Hal some time ago, he let them stay due to some convincing from Blixer. But, a new corruption was starting and affected Medusa and Cube. And now we have this masterpiece.
Actually medusa was sent to destroy both Cyan and Hal but cube attack him in there corruption form, not letting him hurt them and then the battle begin.
I notice that some mashup levels, blue in PA and Pink in JSAB. Cyan doesnt get hurt from Medusa bc they both blue shades. And pink for the JSAB boss and Hal.
For some reason, I see Cube was been corrupted by Medusa and trying to attack those square together. Cyan will distract corrupted Cube and Hal facing Medusa to shut down corruption on Cube. Eventually, Nautilus step in, punch Medusa and thus cure Cube.

Actually, Close To Me is slightly sped up, as you can tell from the speed of the level, compared to the normal level.
Well, the structure of each song is very similar, just the speeds are matched.
Though Close to Me had to be doubled up at one part.
