Fact: The MTF used in this film are called MTF Epsilon-6 AKA “Village idiots”
They use a whole bunch of them. Like Nu-7 are the soldiers at the outer perimiter, Gamma-5 is making sure it stays redacted, all that stuff.

The MTF (Mobile Task Force) have so much fucking heart. nobody even writes on their tombstones what their names were, they die unknown, just vanishing one day, no burial no nothing. When they die on missions like this there tends to be no record of HOW they died...... I think someone put it best like this
"We die in the dark so others may live in the light"
Every day nobody knows their names is another day their missions succeed, another day the horrible monsters they lock up or destroy are kept at bay, another day the world is kept safe. All because of them, and the sacrifices they make.

The SCP in this video is the Eldritch Horror monster from the Darkest Dungeon video game. It's a massive creature that feeds on people and animals by it's tentacles. If someone looks at the creature in the eye it drives you mad, which is why the soldier killed himself. The really terrifying thing about this is that the creature is completely invisible to the naked eye.
That was an epic well done scene. Already seeing the invisible cult members, then NOT seeing whatever the hell was in that closet to where a man shoots himself made for one helluva question to be asked.
So how to kill it?

@@SynarG There are different classes of SCPs depending on their danger level and how hard it is to contain, this seems to be one that is hard to kill so they'll probably contain it, most probably in that area since it's gonna be hard to transport. The way they usually contain creatures of this magnitude is through either tools and equipment that are classified as SCPs that have special "powers" that can physically contain the creature, or create an environment that will contain the creature, or keep the creature from moving from that area, etc. They also have other SCP creatures that are more passive and some of them are capable of suppressing the more aggressive and hard to contain SCPs.
The organization that is SCP hardly ever kill these creatures, it's in their name Secure Contain Protect, there are other groups/factions out there that actively hunt down these anomalies and destroy them, there are also groups that want them freed. The universe of SCP is very huge and has a lot of lore behind it.
SCP is great because it's basically a bunch of random people making stories off of the same writing prompt within an agreed format, the SCP Foundation securing, containing and protect the world and reality from supernatural/ extra dimensional threats but all written in the style of a classified and redacted government document.
They've got a bunch of crazy stuff. This, 096 or the "Shy Guy" the other one you guys watched, Caine and Abel, the Unkillable Reptile. Hell they have one entirely based around an extra-dimensional IKEA store. SCP is just this bottomless well of good horror stories written by random people.

That one time I wanted more out of this scenario. That concept was soooo good! It was more suspenseful than scary, but it was dope!

You guys should watch "SCP Explained - A Modern Introduction to the SCP Foundation" by TheVolgun, it's not a movie but it explains a lot of things, and it's a good introduction to the SCP world.

If you’re interested in more SCP I suggest watching the Exploring Series’ or the Volgun’s videos on SCP.
Volgun definitely has better presentation, but Exploring Series' voice and narration just does it for me.

When you said "ET slap boxing" I immediately got an image of ET doing the Henry Cavill reload punches from Mission Impossible: Fallout and then slapping the sh*t out of people to throw them off. 🤣
I had to watch SCP: Overlord before watch your reaction because I enjoyed every SCP I've seen so far. After watching it I figured out that those holes in the ground were where the tentacles were coming from. That was probably what snatched up that soldier outside.
I really want to know what it was that soldier saw in the basement area that made him decide to "self-weapon". Must have been trying to control him and decide he wasn't having none of that. He was probably trying to protect his squad because those other people like that were trying to kill them.
It would be nice to see a short story prequel about the group at the location, the people that went missing and what actually happened before the SCP unit got there.

so fun technical detail; the decision to put the MTF team in gasmasks can be justified in-story as part of general preparedness, and out of story as yeah it just looks cool but also the fact that every actor is now dubbing their voices over means they don't have to re-shoot entire scenes if someone flubs a line. they are, as you said, operating on a smaller budget

E.T. Slap boxing is crazy 😂😅 Also, the tentacles were coming out of the holes in the ground they could see it at first and the holes so deep they couldnt determine the depth
Listen! If you love SCP Foundation, You'll love Control, Ok? I just finished it and I loved it. I think Remedy was inspired by the SCP lore.

they made Doll House before this, i don't know if you reacted to it or not. They also got something in the works, don't know when it'll come out. What was in the room was some kind of alter. Love how the biggest jump scare was the stun grenade going off
The same guy/channel behind this and Dollhouse also made SCP: Ghost Town and SCP: First Contact. They're older works but they're still damn good.

Maybe it wasn't about what he saw in the basement. Maybe there was an invisiblbe tentacle which was choking him and moved his arm to shoot himself.

You should watch scp ghost town next, it’s another really well made scp film (I recommend having subtitles on for the hard to hear parts)

There is another short scp film by Evan Royalty, however it's taking place in gta 5 instead of live action. And tbh, it's probably the most scariest one I've seen compared to the other films he made. (not saying that the other films were bad or nothin like that).
