  • When using a resistor to limit current on an LED, there are two considerations.
    1) Does the resistor limit the current?
    2) Can the resistor take the heat?

    Thank you for the video. My question is - a 10 watt power resistor will safely dissipate the heat in my circuit. I don't have a 10 watt power resistor, but I do have 2 5 watt power resistors. Assuming the current through the pair is the same as through the 10 watt resistor will the 2 5 watt power resistors safely dissipate the heat? Thanks

    What do i do to not burn a 1/4 resistor when P is too much?
    You basically put more resistors.
