- If you want a compact crossover made by Honda, the CR-V is it. Also, it's a compact crossover you can actually have children with.

This video was filmed with in-ear, binaural microphones, so if you listen with headphones, it will sound like you're sitting in the driver's seat!

When the prior gen came out I convinced / helped 3 family members to get the EX trim. They don’t need anything fancy and the EX had all the latest safety features. It was the best value for the money for $26k.
For those interested in sleeping in the back of your CR-V; a 6' folding table will fill out the lower cargo area just about flush with the folded down seatbacks and hump. Throw a mattress on top of that and you have. fairly level sleeping platform. As a bonus having a table in the back makes a great callback to the original CR-V's with their folding picnic table!
You have such an honest, positive manner. It does look great in red, too.
Charlie, Honda's mastery of ergonomics continues to impress. Toyota could learn a thing or two. 🤨
Hey Charlie, I love the content! Both the Accord and CRV have the same amount of trims CRV :(gas) LX, EX, EX-L
(Hybrid) Sport, Sport-L Which is new for 2024 and Sport touring.
Accord: (gas) LX, EX (Hybrid) Sport, Sport-L, EX-L, and Sport Touring
I like the CR-V, but for the $37k sticker on this, something like a CPO BMW X3 30i makes a whole lot of sense. At 14:14 you mention satisfaction over features, that what made me think of an x3 as it's a RWD architecture with 50/50 weight distribution. Current generation BMW drivetrains are strong, so the reliability doesn't worry me, if Toyota endorses them who am I to say no?
The CR-V in this instance would be more enticing if it was the hybrid IMO...
Thanks for your comprehensive thoughts as always Charlie, some great insight.
Tbh I’d just wait for a CPO one of these. You can buy 2-3 year old EX-Ls for like 25k
You also have that BMW maintenance to contend with so they get those saving back.
The bmw won’t hold a candle to Hondas reliability.
you lost me at cpo bmw
If mpg isn’t an issue, then one should seriously consider looking at the Mazda CX5. Probably many if not most of the good things the reviewer spoke to as being in a car that just “feels right,” I believe also would apply to the CX5.
Did you find the road noise at a high level on this model?
Regarding the trims of the current accords and cr-v, All have lx, ex, sport, ex-l, sport-l, and both have touring. The only difference being the crv is branded as a Sport Touring.
Is the A/C still weak? That's a big problem with buying Hondas in Texas. They're too weak for the heat here!
Great video and review, just wondering, in this CR-V EXL are you hearing a rattle noise coming from the windshield area? In mine I'm hearing it at higher speeds and Honda Service Center could not figure out what it is.
I don't believe so, I'm sorry you're dealing with that!
I love the CRV. But I live in south Florida and no ventilator seats
I really like lanewatch. But Honda got rid of it years back. To me the camera are more reliable then the sensor.
Hybrid has no spare tire, for that I would go EX-L
30mpg isnt good?
not necessarily when compared to its competition price wise
