My mother and I used to live in Brunswick, right in-between both islands of St. Simons and Jekyll. In all the time we were there up until we moved, we NEVER have been to Southern Soul, but hearing about all of its accolades and how amazing Harrison is, it makes me want to get back so I can try it. But in another serious matter, I was totally devastated to hear about that fire. But they didn't let that deter them, for them to find a temporary place while rebuilding the original location, that is total dedication to what they love to do. And for that, even though I have not a chance to eat there yet like I've said before, I have nothing but massive respect for Harrison and Southern Soul for staying true to their food. Southern Soul BBQ is definitely on my wish list
I know the guy at 1:05. He’s friends with my parents. It’s cool to see him on tv. My grandparents live on St Simons to so I get to eat at this restaurant all the time. Some of the best food I’ve ever eaten.
I live in Brunswick and we go there every Saturday or so. Don't go late. They run out of ribs so quick. Pulled pork sandwich though, never run out and is great pick. Best barbecue you will ever have.

I live two blocks away from that place and they are okay. Their dogs are great, but you can do it at home for just as well for five dollars less.Their sides are ok, but nothing special. Also, they are way too small. Call in and pick up if you want to eat there you won't regret it.
Now I know the secret drown it in every kind of sugar you can find then every type of syrup you can find honey everything. Now I know the secret nana nana nana
Coming from a GUY .. 👉ME 👈 That loves to SMOKE on my old school smoker & has it down to a scientific perfection ! Their BBQ is VERY GOOD... But.. Not " THE BEST " Hands dwn Worst slaw ever had ... But, again.... Worth the stop if you want BBQ 👍

I went there last month on an Army flight mission and their BBQ ribs and sauces are off the hook. Very nice atmosphere, they treated us great.

They do have really good barbeque. But Guy was wrong about our beaches... Our water is disgusting lol. But Southern soul is the best
Damn ridiculous over-kill with the honey but it appears to be well liked. I don't believe that last dash of honey helps anything though.

The food is ok. We got an order to go and the meat was dry....ribs, prime rib, and pulled pork sandwich.

i have to agree with you.....all the hype about it and ive had better from the winndixie. I do enjoy their pastrami though
