What a sexy bass, Adam from Fabracobblers made this two new truss rod adjustment nuts as the owner had a go at adjusting the two nuts with the wrong tool and damaged the hex.
It was a weird hex, neither Gibson, prs or anything I've seen in style so Adam also converted the hex to 7mm metric so any readily available tool can be used.
We also chose to go with brass as the rod he had was the perfect size and we wanted to save the client money. Thanks again legend, because of you this bass lives.
On my side of things I gave the frets a good polish, gave it a bit of a service as the tuners were loose, and set it up. I aimed for as low as I could go action wise as I'm guessing the owner is a bassist and there for doesn't use a pick 😂I got it really nice, almost as low as my own.
This however does have a bunch of high spots, few high frets and some wear from the flat wound hybrids so down the line it will need a fret dress however she's fine for now and I wanted to keep the costs down for the owner.
