- Anoraknophobia was Marillion's 12th studio album, released on May 7th 2001
It is widely recognised as the very first album by any artist to have been fully funded through pre-orders from a fanbase. The birth of internet crowd-fundiing.
It's apt then that we share the brand new, 2023 in-concert screen media which features Marillion fans from around the world. Fans originally shot their footage for a lock-down video version of 'Made Again' during the Covid pandemic and the clips were re-purposed for the 2023 Marillion Weekends by Mark Kennedy. Leave a comment if you see yourself!
The original album was produced by Dave Meegan and recorded at the band's Racket Club Studio. This live version of Map Of The World was recorded at the Marillion Weekend in Port Zélande, Netherlands on March 20, 2015.
You can watch the Made Again video here - • Marillion - Made Again... - from an original Lucy Jordache sun-bed concept, wrangled and edited by Tim Sidwell.,
The band line-up which recorded the album was - Steve Hogarth (vocals), Mark Kelly (keyboards), Ian Mosley (drums), Steve Rothery (Guitar) and Pete Trewavas (bass)

This is one of my favourite songs ever from my favourite band in the whole world! 😍 The song that brought me back to the band Can't wait to hear it live for the first time! 😉
I know it's not the most popular opinion among Marillion fans, but this is my favorite release. Happy Birthday Anoraknophobia!
Definetely an underrated album. One of my favourites
The album had great moments, but also songs that I didn't like for the first time. This Song is great!
I have always loved Map of the World ❤
Love that song!!!
Marillion is the best on the music market right now👌
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤sei Super
Great song.👍
I can see myself in the video, whoo hooooo! Thank you guys, I love this song as much as I love Anoraknophobia❤
Saw me first in this video on the big screen in PZ and had even more goosebumps 😊 and I also got a bit emotional remembering the time the world went through when filming it for the lockdown video. What a wonderful screen media to that song.Marillion really unites the world. Thank you for your music 🇨🇭❤️🇨🇭
And great video. Heart-touching.
I see myself in the video! And I was in Port Zelande as well! I got a little emotional when I saw it there ❤
Saudações do Brasil...saudades de vocês por aqui.

Marillion Forever Forever Marillion
I don't understand why some people say this albums isn't as good as some of the others, it's one of my most favorites.
Anoraknophobia is a very different album from the previous ones. But still a good record, very well played...Marillion never cheat...💥
!!Genial como todo lo que hace Marillion !!!
Love this album so much, it's so balls to the wall modern but with beautiful songs too. Really set up how perfect Marbles would be! If my heart... Is my favourite track on the album and honestly could be one of my top 10 tracks overall!!
On a side note when the clips start, I thought at first the dude second from the right in the bottom row was Dave Mustaine, got huge cognitive dissonance seeing him happily dancing along 😂
Another beauty of a song 😊❤
I love the album
Timeless classic! I can't help but sing along every time!
With Seperated Out my fave track off this great album, the album is in my top 5 Marillion albums.
In May 2001, I'd just been living in the UK for a few months.
Before, I had felt like Marillion had become a little too niche for me with 'Radiation'. But hey, in the Yorkshire spring of 2001 there was a new song I could even listen to on the internet. 'Between you and me'. I bought the album soon after, and loved every note on it.
Like many others, Anoraknophobia brought me back to Marillion. And not only that - there and then, I've started feeling a real connection with the guys and their music. It was more than just being a fan and liking their songs. It still is.
❤️
L'un de mes album préféré.
Et en plus, je suis dans la vidéo. 🥳
Génial !!
revolutionary album , best band ever
22 years for this album arachnophobia🎉
Seeing my old mug in there, alright. :)
Play loud and lights of
This is the first Marillion album I heard in its entirety , many years ago I thought they were a Genesis tribute band..........6 gigs later and umpteen albums purchased and "played to death" I 'm fully aware how wrong I was.
Quem é esse gato do segundo quadradinho em 1:24?
Altough Is not my favorite Marillion album is my favorite song from that album. I wonder why this song was not a big big hit all Over the world. Should be re released and play it yo desde, until it becomes a hit. The same goes to "Cover My Eyes".
It wasn't a big hit because it wasn't released as a single. In fact I don't believe any tracks on Anoraknophobia were, probably because they didn't have any budget to do so at the time. I'm sure if they had the budget this would have been the big single from the album.
