“Don’t box me man”
Just out of this world..
Palmer: How did Hamilton win in Turkey?
Kimi: He drove fast
XD
Bwoah
You made my day HAHAHAHA! 🤣
Hahahahaha! I can hear Kimi saying that now!
He learned that lesson from Glock...
He just made a slick out of the inters😂
No mistakes too
Team: lewis, pit for slicks?? Lewis: nah i will make my own
@@Phototrappeur except for turn 9 going wide which got him stuck behind Vettel for a bunch of laps
Slintermediates
I mean toto said it himself, "Slicks". Watch the team radio video lol I thought I heard it wrong
I'm Dutch and a Verstappen fan ofcourse , but Max got propperly schooled by Lewis this race.
Lewis is still a boss on the track and a undisputed champion . . . congrats.
max is a true super talent which amplifies the levels lewis must have reached to drive like this is just insane..
I did not see that coming from a Max fan. As a Lewis fan, respect.
Dude, don't you remember Germany 2019?
Lewis is awful at wet tracks
@@aliparcheforosh4895 so you're just gonna ignore Britain 2008, Japan 2007, Brazil 2016, styria qualifying, or the literal video you're watching?
@@aliparcheforosh4895 My dude, Lewis literally won all wet races from Hungary 2014 up to Germany 2019. Even in Germany he comfortably led most of the race until Mercedes put dry tires on a wet track
Lewis is a master at saving tires. His strategy is unmatched.
Perez is also up there
He is great at managing his tires!
w10-w11
It also helps his race that his team actually trusts him when he makes certain strategy calls. It doesn't happen always with others.
Somewhere in my head I believe he can go through the entire race without pitting if that is allowed
Hamilton doesn't just say ”YES” to every pitstop call. He is charge everytime. The previous race, he didn't pit again when everyone was forcing pitting and it is that awareness of what's unnecessary that's making him a winner. He is the GOAT 🐐 even when haters want to find fault...
He is. Powers that be are wary of drawing the comparison to other greats - Wolff etc. But bottom-line, while in the quickest car, he is driving in the most competitive time with loads of potential champions. Easily the GOAT and will likely do 10 worlds.
taura hako , he is indeed the goat...
Making sure his car was facing in the right direction also helped a lot, too.
Lol
Easier said than done
half of the grid didnt get the memo
@@S4mit0s ikr even the og sbinalla get the memo
He went off at least 4 times.
Running the intermediates to slicks was one of the coolest strategies to see unfold. The tension wondering what the tires were going to do and how each driver dealt with it had me biting my nails the whole last half of the race.
Loved that Ham and Checo were able to pull it off! That added an additional ‘X’ factor to the race.
@@Volt_R77 👍
Definitely felt for Stroll, he was apprehensive about it and in hindsight they should have left him out there. They could have pitted Checo for new inters first to see how they went? ;) That said I do wonder if Stroll was managing his tyres as well as his teammate.
@@jozzas I think he had wing damage, so his tyres went off a lot quicker. Granted, I still think he'd have to have pitted eventually but he could've got at least a top 5
@@jozzas I think his team posted that he had damage at the car which caused the debris
This race was a brilliant showcase of why Hamilton is a 7 time world champion. Masterful piece of driving.
Fitting that it’s the race that officially crowns him as a 7 time world champion
It should also serve as proof that FIA can change the rules in 2021 and 2022 to increase more race competition, but that too will play right into his hands.
@@grxengine6188 indeed, even this year I can’t help but think , Hamilton will lock the championship down with 4 or 5 races left.
No surprise to see the experience of Hamilton, Perez and Vettel on the podium - wizardry to look after those tyres for so long for both Hamilton and Perez!
exactly! That's why we need artificial wet races, we need to regularly reward that experience and wizardry, and the added drama is also welcome
Veterans race craft .
Yep experience and racecraft was the name of the game, surely this will go down in F1 history as a legendary race.
Vettel recounts that on his way to a fresh set of Inters he had been wondering if maybe he should have tried the dry tyres - "But no.... it was going to rain again they said....." - You never know what would have happened if he did call for those supersofts as the forecast rain never came.
@@MattB90 Artificial ? Not gonna happen Dumbo
Hamilton showed he not only has masterclass speed but is a genius with strategy. Congrats Champ!
Others teams: pits for slicks
Lewis: Hold my DIY slicks
nobody pitted for slicks
🤣🤣🤣
Hamilton has it all/ Super Fast, aggressive when needed, unreal on wet conditions, a master on preserving the tires, feels the sport and understand it in details, student of the game!
Just ahead of his class
It's just phenomenal.
He outscored legends and made history within 18 years of his F1 career(exact no. To be mentioned if numbers are wrong)I mean if he would've started with the midfield teams like everybody did, even then i believe he would've impressed top teams and make kiss his shoes for signing..(just the phrase, not to take seriously)
And
Its a team sport, so everyone played their roles to the finest.
I don't mean to offend but he beat the best .by phenomenal margin most of the time..
Its not that easy, its insanely tough.
The best thing about this race and his WC win was that all his detractors saw him start not from Pole, and actually work/fight for his Win, was a masterful drive.
@@Leebo88 you are so small and pitiful. It’s really sad 😢 . Facts are facts btw, regardless of what hate may have you spew
@@Leebo88 Poor driving? Name me one racing driver or presenter that agrees with you?
@@Leebo88 One thing I've learned about luck, driving, Karting and as a football coach, it's you don't sit waiting for it, you take risks, that's what determine how lucky you are. If the best driver in a wet in formula one, makes the calls he made, and won the race, you call it luck, I can definitely agree with you, because they are all lucky, every time they manage to finish a race without one or two in hospital. Because they're not sittimg on a simulateur driving. F1 it's one the most dangerous car sport in the world. So you call winning a race like that luck. I call it luck and skill, coming alive from a race on those conditions, while out manœuvering you opponents, in order to get maximum points.
It's just a pity, when the talent and skills are there, and proven so many times, but some people go to the lengs to turnish that. There are few names we could call those people, but I live that to you.
@@Leebo88 I am a fan of sports and talents. That because one of my jobs it's to find talents, Wich allows me to acknowledge and appreciate their effort to be the best, in what they do. So yes, I am a fan. What does that makes you?

Love him or hate him, Lewis Hamilton is the master of F1. This race goes to show just how spectacular he is and why he is a 7 times world champion.
Kinda don't want to like cause comment has got 44 right now.
@@alfaV6boy1 it’s pretty simple, drivers that are faster increase a teams chance of scoring points. The more tenths a driver can save, the more he’s worth. The best drivers end up in the best cars. Of course the car is important, but you need the fastest driver you can afford who will help you develop the car. If you can’t understand that, perhaps this sport is not for you...
@@alfaV6boy1 but why do merc pay Hamilton the most money to drive for them. They could get anyone for alot less money but they know the value of Hamiltons skills.
@@alfaV6boy1 who has ever won the championship in a BACK MARKER? Every driver who has won the championship did so in a competitive car. In the mid 2000 McLaren and Ferrari were just about on par. To prove the point, look at the margin by which he lost in 07, then look at the margin he won by in 08. Then came Red Bull to the party. I wonder where MAX would finish in a Williams. Just curious.
Let's analyse what hamilton did
Pro:
-overtook perez in a easy way
-made the correct strategy
Con:
-caused a crash in turn 1
-went ouside in the next turn, losing 2 positions
-failed to overtake Vettel, while Albon did it at 1st try
Hamilton was strong on wet, but this time he did very bad, he won just for "luck" (as many of his victories)
4:27 Lessons learnt from Shanghai 2007. Bravo Lewis! 👏
Yep
Bring the analysis back to RUclips.
Hear hear!
You can still use torrent if you want everything.. Otherwise races are available on hotstar premium.
There's no stopping Hamilton, is it? With or without car advantage, he's a head above everyone else!
Who else would devise such a crazy impromptu strategy of making slicks out of inters? (Well, he likely didn't actually devise it, just saw that this could work in the circumstances.) This is what separates genius from just talented!
Lewis overtook and pulled away from Sergio event though Perez was in the better car for the conditions. Also Sergio was on the same strategy as Lewis and Sergio nearly lost his 2nd place to Charles
Hamilton still remembered China pit lane where he lost Championship that year.
That crossed my mind as well. 😂
By being patient and picking up his fights right.
i told everyone that he works from kis heart not from the cars, haters are gonna hate, lovers are gonna love
A lot of folks won't acknowledge that! "He's got the best car" creeps into every discussion no matter what 😂. Even winning a race nursing a blown tyre doesn't count 🙄
Trump is gone 😥 but at least we still have hamilton
1. He didn't win the race by saving the tyres, just by not pitting
2. He only caused a crash, went outside in a turn and failed to overtake Vettel, but he saved the tyre so it's all ok
Hamilton's mind is like a highly efficiency, well turned machine. He remembers more track conditions than we have forgotten about.
Hamilton and Perez, ultimate tire whisperers
Lol.... 😝
The two are the best when it comes to tires.
Hamilton is a born winner, and has so much focus. Importantly he knows what his car can do in any situation.
Pirelli Engineers: No one can make slicks like we do
Lewis: Hold my steering wheel
He might not have been the best way n track but Jolyon definately is amazing as an analyst and commentator
He's sometimes too biased for the Stewards (which is understandable)
Scrubs on the actual sport are usually intelligent behind the scenes. I've seen this trope many times in the NBA
Imagine being the worst of the 20 best drivers in the world and being thought of as bad, I feel bad for Palmer lol
Those who can’t do teach. Most coaches were either terrible players or may have never played pro at all. Yet, they manage to get their teams to win championships
Defo better analyst than driver that's for sure
Lewis and Checo, kings of tyre management
you seem to base this on just 1 race. in the rain it's not all about tyre management. more about patience.

Haters be like the car won the race yet Bottas spun doughnuts throughout
Bottas did that to himself when he damaged the steering while shunting Ocon off the track.
he did it more than seb in the whole season
@@putradharma4703 you know, I think you might be right! lol
RB was faster then the Mercedes all weekend even in the dry. So lets see what the haters come up with on this one.
I thought Krispy Kreme was having a doughnut special the way Bottas was out of control!
How did he win? He drove like the champion he is.
💯Truth!
Love Jolyon's insight. Smart and eloquent commentary. Also I firmly believe this was one of Lewis' best and smartest race due to experience. And to give a master class again in the wet and using fading tires to his advantage on a slightly damp track? All around great drive even with the mistake of missing the turn
It's no secret, Lewis is more than enough experienced and cold-blooded to use other driver's mistakes to his advantage. That's what makes him great.
And no safety cars in this ultra slippery race I believe.. Amazing..
Quite impressed with that too.
They all had their moments but none ended up on a wall with car bits thrown out in random directions.
Most probably becauce the tyres would've just lost all temperature and grip
This right here on full display is what a WINNING TEAM looks like. The entire team has full trust in the call of the driver. The driver says he can go a few more, let him go a few more. Hammer!
This race was so intense
Hamilton's patience and ability to "bide his time" and wait for the right move is what sets him apart from many of the other less patient drivers.
Bide time? You mean have pure luck.
@@lofty2210 Sure! He was ‘lucky’ 95 times!🙄🤡
He was once like that too. He had to learn it. That's what Verstapen and Leclerc and the rest of the young bunch need to do.
@@dj2lambrini exactly. Max actually talked about that a couple years ago... He got some help and it's showed. Unfortunately Vettel completely rejected that advice and, well it showed too.

Maturity, trust, and energy management. Lewis has been around the block, learned from his ups & downs, developed mutual trust with those who surround him, and despite being the fastest man on the track, he keeps his emotions in check.
Oh, and he manages to somehow to turn negative energy into fuel.
💯💯💯Truth! All the salt and tears he turns them into wins! Go Lewis! 🇬🇧🏆
That's an easy one. He's by far the best driver on the grid and has the best team behind him.
Didn't make a single mistake, fought threw the field, great strategy and didn't even struggle when his inters became slicks. And we've seen how difficult it was by watching Perez. Undeniable the best driver in the last couple of years and surely one of the all time greats.
He had the fastest car when it mattered, and the best strategy
And are you sure he didn't make a single mistake?
He did let Seb slip by early on... not that it mattered ultimately.

One of *HAM's* best wins ever!
How Ken Miles has connection with his car is what Hamilton also had, he's very aware of his car and the track situation.
it's the small decisions he makes & the patience he had throughout the race is what makes him a 7-time world champion
That start was such a ballsy move to get around the Red Bulls and then miss both the bollard on the kerb as well as both the renaults by millimeters. It could have totally gone wrong right there, but this and the way he wore the inters down to slicks which helped him gain grip of a drying track finishing 30 sec plus ahead of them all shows why he's a 7 time world champion!
Lewis is wise beyond his years, experience won the day.
kinda suprising but lewis is actually one of the older drivers on the grid now, so not really wise beyond his years when he's been in the sport for 13 years
He's the second oldest driver on the grid...

The race to prove the doubter wrong yet again, and what a timely race to do it in - to win his 7th championship. It’s truly special to watch such a complete driver master the craft
The Turkish Grand Prix showed people the following truth, that is the truth of the racers' abilities, not the cars.
Hamilton was like a careful driver in any public sim-racing lobby. he just needed time and wait till everyone around him makes mistakes.
It was a great drive. Starting 6th actually worked out in his favor as Ricciardo in 5th also got a great start, but got boxed in between Perez and the red bulls.
a crucial bit was actually lap 8 when hamilton put his inters on at his pit stop which he kept for the rest of the race so at the end when it was drying he had virtually slicks on at the end when you look at his tyres at the end his has the least of the grip left
Lewis's experience and studies pays off. He's not only racing man, he is a masterclass. Get in there lewis!
That Mercedes and it's driver has the potential to win from last.😂
Wish F1 would release a video of everybodys launch/start for this race. Really intrigued to see who got wheel spin, who launched in 1st 2nd etc gear, who gained, who lost or if any driver did something totally out the box. Best race Ive seen in years and with the poor traction, surface and different tyres I want to see how all coped with their start.

A legend drive by Hamilton. Masterclass.
He played F1 through - two times
Lewis is like Jack Brabham in a way. He won 3 world championships & went close to at least 4 . Jack was a thinker, won races with the least wear on his car. Rosberg is on record as. Saying having Lewis behind him was a nightmare because even the slightest error & he was through. Jack had a number of nick names , Black Jack , the Fox amongst them . Is Lewis better than Senna & Schumacher, probably because like Schumacher & Brabham he gets the whole team behind him. I have never seen a driver so dominant as Lewis though.

Awesome analysis from Mr Palmer.
if you’re born very talented in what you do then you’re magnificently a powerful champion, but if you aren’t born talented enough then you can only be just a winner,… not anyone can tame wild horses time and time again repeatedly but only those who are born with that special talent can easily do, and this explains the huge difference between Hamilton and Bottas in the same racing car
Just like a powerful horse needs a special rider, the best car needs an outstanding driver, and obviously that driver is Lewis Hamilton not Valtteri Bottas 👍👌🤗
