The acting in this cinematic is just amazing, their faces and voices truly carry their emotions, you can feel the ruthlessness and betrayal of Mengsk, the realization and hopelessness of Kerrigan. I know that this is just an animation, but it is on par with and indistinguishable from movies with real people.
For anyone who having troubles from moving troops, instead of Predator, tech the Hercules instead. They are super tanky and can transport a lot of troops. I tech hercules because I prefer to play mech with Terrans and pass easily.
I am SO BAD at this mission, on brutal using only mercenary unit (a 10th anni achievement) with long cooldown takes the same amount of time to complete than building a lot of units and clearing “normally”. I hate using dropships without mastering dropship tricks. …and you complete the whole missions like nothing else in THREE MINUTES……
I'm really bad at micro, so I tried to modify this strat. South of the map is really safe so I sent the factory and medivacs from the first core there and then brought the medivacs to the brutalisk island, built 2 bunkers instead of 1, killed the overlord drops then the brutalisk and rescued the remaining Moebius mercs. 3 full medivacs are more than enough to deal with the final core and there's a clean patch of ground to drop another bunker (but it's not even necessary there).
i don't understand... after 8 tries i'm still getting hugely overwhelmed at the last data core... the building's got last bit of health but there are like i don't know how many nydus spawning all around me and my troops got annihilated in seconds (despite me having a larger army than in the video)... just can't seem to pull it off like this (maybe blizzard patched the game just to make this approach no longer viable ?)
The research upgrades would have actually made things slower! When you research the automated refineries, they cost 100 minerals instead of 75, and you also start the mission with 25 minerals less for every refinery you have. Since I don't need the extra gas in this mission, I just would have had 25 fewer minerals for no benefit.

You actually lose if all of your buildings are destroyed, but it never happened in practice so it couldn't have been that close :)
I'm a bit surprised you didn't get the research upgrades before doing this. Would've been a little bit helpful wouldn't it? Even by 1 second?
