This dude is the 5 min dad's work final boss. Absolute menace, can't even imagine the joy you should've felt after taking a few steps back and looking to the finished house.
To quote my good friend, Mike Holmes..., "If you're gonna do it, do it right." My friend, you've not only done it right, this entire series has served as an inspiration. Thank you for your time and effort in producing this.............
Wow! Just to think when you walk through your doors. That you've built your home from the ground up with your own hands. I applaud you. What a beautiful home from start to finish.
Hi, I have discovered your house build content only a few days ago and I binge-watched through the whole series in four days. Your versatile skill set along with mastery in every single one of them is nothing like I have seen before. I mean you are every tradesman's worst nightmare save for compulsory electricians... So very well done, huge admiration, may you all fill this house with beautiful and happy memories. Be well and blessings from Bodrum-Turkey👏👏👏
I am astonished. Watched the entire series in one breath. I wish I could have a dad like you to teach me at least a small portion of what you do with the house. Such a precious experience and knowledge to share with the youngsters. Your kids should be very proud of their dad! What an absolute gem, well done Sir!
I look forward to your videos and don't worry about how long they are either. Thanks for taking us along on your build, I look forward to whatever you decide to post, I know it will be educational and interesting. Best of luck, see you soon!
I have loved the entire build series as I am also in the very early stages of building a house by myself. I do hope that we can hear you at least once when you go through the final tour of the house, it would be nice to hear you talk about this build. Take care and all the best with your dream home.
1 more video and I will be all caught up from my binge watching. You have me for the long term. I wouldn't miss your skilled work for anything except death.
This has been such a fantastic series. Thank you for all the time and effort you put into making these videos. Looking forward to ventilation video and maybe to another house and Mindsparx cooking show one day :) And I'd encourage you to make some other videos too if you feel like it, I really like your filming and editing style.
Awesome i watch like every episode exepct this one in 1-2 days ,so was pretty fast build for me ;dd hope you manage to save up for the new england style house ,i really hope we have like 5 years before the next scale of bad events starts to happend in the world ,but will see ,cheers.
Clean simple lines, I love it. My dream home has a similar shape, but with a hip roof and 8 foot wide porches stretching the width of the house front and back. Maybe one day I'll be able to build it.
I just wanted to say "Job well done". You have built yourself a very nice Lake Home by any of the worlds standards. Enjoy it with the family. Look forward to the next build.
Well done! It's a proper Swedish house with a nice American touch to it, and you will have a wonderful place to settle down when time comes. Really great and inspiring video series! Looking forward to the New England style one, it's a favorite style of mine!
Love your videos and they only got better and better. Great work, cant wait to see what else you come up with, with content like this you deserve 100x the subs and viewers you have currently.
Amazing work ethic and quality control. Insulation batts in ceiling should be overlapped, not butted together, ask me how I know. Less chance for heat loss.
Thank you for posting all of videos. I wish we had some of your construction methods in the US. Since your previous house burned down, do you have any plans on installing a fire alarm or fire suppression systems? Good luck with your future plans.
Congratulations!👏 I've learned a lot on home building by watching this series. If you're willing to share, how much was the cost of the house build thus far? excluding any labor.
I am an American and am moving to Sweden (Farsta) hopefully around Jan-Feb 2024 to be with my girlfriend. I work currently in Construction Management as an owner's rep. I will try to get a construction management job. I am learning Swedish but have several years before fluency. I am curious, why do Swedish homes not have closets? Even new builds... I rarely see Swedish homes that have closets. Even homes that are 150+ m don't have closets in the bedrooms. Just wardrobe furniture. Also, Swedish kitchens seem so small. Seems many times they have little counter top space for preparing meals. I can understand in small homes, but even relatively new homes that are 120+ m still have very small kitchens.
We generally do not have built-in closets, and instead use free-standing closets. This is because we want to be flexibel, and when a house is sold, the new owner can allocate the space how they see fit. It is not unheard of to have built-in closets, but walk-in closets are extremely rare. You generally do not eat in the kitchen in Sweden in singel family houses, but in appartments it can happen. (we have dining areas in the main room, often right by the kitchen.) And about counter space: how much do you actually need? Just be more efficiant with how you use it.
For the time and money overview please don't worry about the length of the video atleast for me I would love to have a well detail analysis. I do know for majority of others though a succinct video is preferred.
@@mindsparx1 I assumed that there must be conditions that permit it given how strict your building code is. Here in the US, that much removal from a structural member would be a no no.
I knew the original owners a while back, and they did the same thing, bought the land and then had it built. But they didn't do it themselves tho, so it would be impressive to see "Building house myself - Season 2" with this as a goal! @@mindsparx1
There's a phrase, "Take pride in your work." And it could not be more true in this house build. What a carpenter!
Amazing! The time lapse made me think I was watching Jason Bourne build

7:15 - is the floor under the cabinets without any flooring? Will that be a problem if for example a kettle full of water spills there?
Hi, You should never lay floors under the cabinets. The weight of all the cabinets would prevent the floor from moving, but nicely observed :)
Those are realy neat looking electrical sockets, does annyone know what brand/moddel they are 1:50

That is a large diameter cutout in an already not to tall floor joist.
All the holes are over bearing walls and round, so that's ok
