Do replacements with all those puffing ups leakages caps with 5 to 10v higher voltages than all of those original voltages caps.So those higher voltages caps can regulated all the heat in the power supply board better.So you wouldn’t have to do replacements of those caps again within a year or two later.Caps puffing ups leakages and dying.This was a very common problems within all the early years of 2000 in all LCD TVs power supply boards designed problems before.
Thanks, for the great video it was very clear and easy to follow. I have the same tv but my issue is that it turns on for a while then goes black until we power off and on. So you think it could also be capacitors? I have not open the tv yet but after this video I think I'm going to go for it. It is a great tv with great picture quality and I would hate to replace it if I can fix it. These TV's from back then we're not as cheap as now.
I have a 32 inch phillips when i plug it in the red indicator light turns on and immediately turns back off and the tv won't turn on do you think it could be the same problem?
While watching tv last night my phillip tv suddenly spark at the back then it shut down. Now, i cant open it. Before when you plug the tv you will see a red light but now theres no red light not even the green.

Ouu it also smells like something is burning.
Could be bad solder joint or bad capacitors
