Well people put Yan so high because Shen thinks he could beat Mukaku. And I agree that he shouldn’t be ranked without any on-screen feats, but with statements like that it’s pretty clear he’s gonna be a high level fighter.
High level sure, but since he has never fought on screen and we have very little to go on other than that? I feel ranking him at all is unfair to start with.
At this point, everybody with a shredded physique in kengan can throw hands. Your hatred of Yan is warranted, but don't forget, out of everyone in omega, he's spent the most time with wulong, who's probably trained Yan at some point. This was surprising. Also thought Kaolan would've won.
After this tournament (also before but especially now) Kanoh has a insane resume against other known fighters. He now has beaten - Takayama Minoru (multiple times) - Yoshioka - Hong Xiao-Hu - Wakatsuki Takeshi - Tokuno‘o Tokumichi (x2) - Okubo Naoya - Kaolan Wongsawat (x2) - Omori Masamichi - Hatsumi Sen - Lu Tian - Julius Reinhold - Rolón Donaire Nobody else has mix of quality and quantity like this
Just re read the tournament now and like it way more. Even the Ramon fight is ok to show how presional Rolon is. Now I hope that we get more of Justin he has character. I still feel like there are some issues. Damage does seem wierd sometimes like Jurotas throw on Goalong and Agito destroying Goalongs elbow with his forhead. One really big thing is that we dont get some names. Like Agito has indistructable and foresight and it didnt get mentioned. Or the inevitible Elbow seemed underused. The Art is like 80% of the time peak. Id love some more Doublepage spreads thou. Overall I was a bit disapointed but what we got was great. Hope your doing fine Griever.
@@RichardPirh That is a great analysis, upon re-read of many weekly manga, new appreciation tends to happen overall. Glad it was a positive experience!
This was dope. Two of my favorites going at it, happy with the outcome too. I wish Agito did other moves than striking in the match, kicking, Niko, mma, grappling and stuff. But still, this is what I wanted to happen. Agito deserved this
Agito is back on top as the Emperor and Gaolang showed himself to be nearly on par with them all. This tournament put him firmly in the S tier and no one should feel bad about that.
Nope thats exactly the Point. Remember the first Fight when Kanoh was ashamed because he had to grapple to win. This Time Kaolans Striking was even more refined and well rounded, plus his use of formless and Godglow, but this Time Kanoh beat him in his own Game
There’s a reason Kanoh’s stayed my gt for so many years I love him . Gaolang did extremely well this fight and proved himself very high tier fighter. One of my favorite fights in omega so far
A much injured Kanoh (from his previous fight) defeating a healthier Gaolang with the same or if not lesser difficulty with Rolon without having to use his new move twin dragon shot. Is it safe to say that Rolon is still stronger than Gaolang?
So I haven’t said much in the past videos because i wanted to finalize my thoughts on the fight finalize my likes and dislikes of just everything in the tournament and i gotta say i loved this fight it was great extremely high diff fight either character could’ve won it and I would’ve been accepted it was amazing choreography was great art great without nitpicking it was overall great id give this fight a solid 8-9/10 i dont think it was as good as the first fight with Agito and Gao but i really did enjoy it Now my thoughts on the tournament itself overall it was awful 3 fights were awful 2 were decent and the finale was great characters: the 3 new ones i hope never return in the series all were awful and provided nothing I would’ve much rather had idk Sen, Liu, Rei a number of others it couldve given them the opportunity to have them start or continue to climb that wall But i i was to rank in comparison to the ither tournaments we’ve had i would say Purgatory is 1st Beserker Bowl is 2nd and the Real champion tournament is last Some other cool things we finally get some Agito back story exciting to see me of that along with Niko hopefully we get to see more of him soon. After this im hoping we dont just jump straight into calling Shen to fight i want a bit of a reprieve some talks here and there maybe some potentially amazing fights while the Kengan Side decides how to approach this whole Shen fight but overall im happy the finale was great
A worthy idea, which is why I will make that Real Tournament video! For the same reason. I agree, it was not as good but a solid and even great fight for the rematch. I disagree on the "awful" part but do understand why yourself and many think so towards this tournament. They should not have had new characters come in (Strike it Rich promotion much?) just for them to do nothing. It is a very bad thorn in the side of this tournament for sure.
@@GrieverTheLionHeart so why do i think the Champions Tournament is “Awful”. 1. It tried to be this bigger than anything before tournament and it just doesn’t do it justice when i felt hype for a moment in a fight the fights ends the next page. You bring in 3 new guys each cool designs all champions of their respective tournaments bam all get fucking washed no diff they did nothing for or to the tournament 2. Extremely rushed i mean they sped through most fights were maybe maybe 2-3 chapters even lolong vs Agito was 1 1/2 chapters long and i mean actually like first punch is thrown not introduced tells their entire back story and ill get into in a bit but Kazzy doing his thing 3. I love Kazzy one if my favorite characters in Ashura but in Omega i feel like Sandro has done such a 180 with how he was in the beginning i mean every panel of him is him spoon feeding the most obvious line of thought or action took like “omg Kanoh threw a punch and Lolong dodged it and he threw a punch and omg he threw another” like this was almost never this bad and even when kazzy did it its because there was good reason like he saw something nobody else say or hes wondering if another line of action would’ve been better this spoon feeding spoons dialogue is just unappealing to me when you can fill it with insights of idk maybe any number of fighters you have in the arena like idk Sen, Jurota, lolong, Gao, Carlos, Julius, Liu, Nitoku but instead it just pans over to kazzy like hes never seen this shit before spews how what we just saw and that just repeats and i mean dude ut gets annoying. 4. Conceptually its an amazing idea dont get me wrong but they just didn’t know what or how to do it rushed it like hell and the finale was great Now there might be some other points im just not remembering right now and i dont want to just throw in nitpicking to make it seem like my points are bigger
Yan could still be S tier. We dont really see it, but he does fight kanoh evenly before the police cucked the beard vs wulong. This chapter he even said he would have done the same final move that gaolang did. So Agito>Yan no matter what. I still think hes an S tier with the amount of shit he talks to Gilbert / Shen. He was ready to throw hands when that clone dude asked who ohma was a clone of. He was ready to fight gilbert too. At the very least you 100% have to agree that he has an S tier mouth
He does indeed have a mouth on him. Rama thankfully shut it for him. I also know he can obviously fight, I just like shitting on him as he has done nothing so far.
The problem with this tournament îs that they made kanoh lose against jurota fight. In kengan ashura kanoh defeated Okubo, Kaolang, sen hatsumi and omori the 4th fang of metsudo in a tournament, then went toe to toe with kuroki. Jurota lost in kengan omega against a clone of meguro, a clone. Yeah, You can see because of the rules but raian lost as well because of the rules but did not went put like a Little bitch jurota. He dominated. Then jurota fights kanoh and defeats him? How? Also the dragon shot îs inconsistent. Sen hatsumi took 2 of then, lu tian just one( way stronger then hatsumi and in gu han100%) but somehow jurota took that and still could fight and win?
All of that just to lose to Kaolang again like a Little bitch. He could barely touch Kaolang. And kanoh still got in the tournament wich was the whole point with his fight against jurota, he should not be there. Now kanoh defeated 3 of the top10 characters, but somehow they made him lost to jurota wich îs the only fight he won against a character. He lost to lolong so Many Times... IT s like Raian will beat kuroki but somehow will lose against imai cosmo. IT s making no sense why did they get the win for jurota against kanoh. He did nothing in the tournament and of course they could not make kanoh lose again... But they made Kaolang lose again so now they talk that Kaolang will come black stronger. And fight against who? They will not let him win against ( ohma, raian, kanoh, kuroki) so who will be defeating? Characters like imai cosmo? So f lame. I believe we won t see Kaolang fight again in this manga and IT s for the better because If we do either he will lose again or win against some low tier fighter so this is the end for kaolang
I think after seeing Kanohs backstory it's almost safe to say that he'll be the one stopping the tiger niko in a fight and during the fight Niko gonna be like kanoh owes him everything, because without him he would've been a corpse on the russian streets, but then Kanoh will say the only person he owes everything is Metsudo for being a real father like figure
You know what? I'm just glad this tournament is over.
As are plenty of people it seems!

I am so heartbroken about Gaolang loss
This has to be my fav fight of Omega
It was a great fight, no question.
Well people put Yan so high because Shen thinks he could beat Mukaku. And I agree that he shouldn’t be ranked without any on-screen feats, but with statements like that it’s pretty clear he’s gonna be a high level fighter.
He's gonna get low diffed in his first fight like every other villain in the series
High level sure, but since he has never fought on screen and we have very little to go on other than that? I feel ranking him at all is unfair to start with.
I think Kanoh's win make more sense plotwise. That's why I was rooting for him since the beginning
It works either way but like how Rocky and Rocky 2 handled it, I think Gaolang could have won and still have it work narratively.
At this point, everybody with a shredded physique in kengan can throw hands.
Your hatred of Yan is warranted, but don't forget, out of everyone in omega, he's spent the most time with wulong, who's probably trained Yan at some point.

True he probably learned everything from the Connector.

All facts! Cannot be denied.
This is truth, yeah but he lost to jurota wich was so BS. Kuroki i understand, jurota...no
I will just say that Agito defeated Gaolang with pure striking. Also, those two are Kengan version of Ippo and Sendo, dynamic-wise.
Since Agito defeated both Gaolang and Rolon, who do you think will win between Gaolang vs Rolon?
@charlesa1234 Difficult to say, but I go to Gaolang
Dragon Shots do hit like a truck.

I said earlier that I don’t know is this possible to make me buy Agito comeback. Never mind, it’s happened. Never felt it after Ashura.
It did happen!
A much injured Kanoh (from his previous fight) defeating a healthier Gaolang with the same or if not lesser difficulty with Rolon without having to use his new move twin dragon shot. Is it safe to say that Rolon is still stronger than Gaolang?
I think I would put Gaolang and Rolon on equal footing. Gaolang seals away PI and that makes him very difficult when PI masters cannot use it.
