I found this video to be very helpful. I am a 76 year old women and took the challenge to change the brake light bulb on my 2012 BMW X3. Once I had tools in hand it took me about 20 minutes.
Dont need tool to remove black plastic plate. Just grio the bottom and push up. Using the tool to move the trim can snap the plastic parts that hold it in place. Everything else is solid
Thanks for your tutorial For water incursion into the exterior lamp appears to be via the small gasket around the bulb carrier (?) Is it possible to replace the gasket? A new carrier is $40-50
title of the video includes "brake" light bulb, but then it isn't mentioned in either your verbals in the video or the written description... which is tough for me because my 2016 X3 has a dashboard warning that there is a "brake light malfunction" and the brake lights are faint and fast blinking when i apply the brakes... so which bulb of the 4 you list in the description is used for the brake light? thx!
I have an 07 X3 with the inop bulb light on the dash but all my lights seem to be good, how can i tell what bulb is turning on the warring light ? Thanks
Hi, I need to replace the reverse light. From instruction it says "Grasp it firmly and remove it from the bulb socket." 1. Do I just wiggle it slightly and pull straight out from the socket? No turns, is that correct? 2. Why precausion for that plastic base? Does it come loose when removing bulb? Trying to understand a few things before I take it apart myself :)
Hello Sir, this guide is awesome! Thank you! I have a 2012 x3, and my tailgate door wont open automatically, but i can still open it manually. Is there a reason why it suddenly wont work? Its been a while since it has stopped working but i remember last time it worked was on winter (rain and snow). Will there be a chance of something getting wet or flooded that may have caused this? ** i have checked the box where all the wires and all the fuses at the back to make sure nothing is broken and everything is good, at this point i have no idea what to check since there is no guides at all in youtube** Thank you in advance if you ever can help me with this!

My running lights don’t work . Brake and turn signal lights work .
😊thank you very much
Hello my bmw X3 F25 don’t have LED tail lights
I bought a whole new assembly and it still doesn’t work .
This works well ,but bear in mind that many of the plastic lugs and clips are fragile - due to age and being made quite thinly in the first place.
Ty!
...otherwise very helpful thanks!
My reverse , brake and turn signal all work . One only light not working is the left rear tail running light .

It's light outside, yet you film in the dark of your garage. Hmm, could do better...
Still have chance. Delete the music
Very well done and complete guide video... Thank You!!
