Vintage Ned Martin throughout a very tense 9th inning!

Those Red Sox '75 were very aggressive baserunners, ran themselves out of some innings here that post season.

The middle of the 75 Red Sox Order was so awesome they could even hit and score on the great Rollie Fingers in his prime. One of the best teams ever not to win the World Series.

Ned - Sal Bando has had a strange two games - hitless in game 1, 4 hits in game two.
A possible solution to Ned's mystery: game 1 starter Luis Tiant. Game 2 - Reggie Cleveland

This was game that BoSox completed stunning lll-game sweep, lll-time defending World Series winners, A's by beating Athletics on road, 5-3 to punch their ticket to what would be exciting VII-game LXXIInd World Series where they'd lose to Reds 4 games to 3

That was their standard set up, whether spring training or playoffs. Almost never changed it. Also Jim signed on (GOOD AFTernoon everybody) and Ned signed off.
