I still play Armored warfare during the weekends... short fun games... i can also play PVP in my location so lucky me... I do really wish this still has a chance to be big bec the grind is so easy compared to any tank games.
This is basically World of Tanks but with modern tanks and wheel vehicles but more stable and fun. Edit: Update on my comment, I played this game and it sucks pretty bad and I'm not even gonna play it anymore. I wouldn't recommended you play the game if you're have a skill issues with it.
I tired WoT 2 times now and i just cant with this game. I like the graphics but pvp is so annoying ;D id like som campagne or something. And i want only the new Tanks not the WW1 and WW2.
I miss armored warfare on console. Played it a lot, but every since the world of tanks console added modern tanks, no one plays it anymore, only 6 people at the most. And it hasn't had a major update in years.
Armored Warfare had a chance to be really good but they screwed it up imo. Although, now that you mentioned it, I'm wondering why World of Tanks: Modern Armor isn't coming to PC at all.
@PanzerPaw I think it's a gimmick that they wanted on console to keep wot console alive because before that update, it wasn't in a good state. But modern armor is really fun, but the grind is hell. And in the update ruined a lot of things people liked.
@@PanzerPaw It's just the monetization road that wg chose for pc version add more broken tier 8 premiums and that's all and they told us way back that rockets and all that era armor would be hard to implement to the game.
@@SteelPanzer the only thing I could ask for WOT to change back after ruining so much with 6.0 is the old Hud at the very least for WW2. It doesn't make sense to have cold war hud with ww2 tanks
armored warfare is a decent game. i am having a lot of fun playing it, and with my 1270 hours on steam, i can comfortably recommend this game to anyone. also, and you summed up the upsides and downsides pretty well
I have good memories of this game. Me and my friend from school (we were still at school back in the day) we were doing the moscow missons. We finish the first mission very easily but at the final cutscene both our tank commanders (in game) got out of the tank. And out of nowhere a invisible tank did start aproaching my friend tanks from behind and I noticed that at first I didnt understand what coming behind him, and we were just watching the cutscene unfold and very close to the end, I finally fully noticed that weird shadow stopped behind my friend tank and I told him in a very relaxed way " is that a tank behind you ?" And he said "what ?" And BANG the shadow tank open fired on the tank commander (point blank by the way) and the moment that happend we start laughing hard, it was so out of nowhere and the way I asking it was so funny and We both cloudn't belive that something like this just happend it was such a genuine reaction from both we cloudn't do anything but cry from laughing. Now imagem this conversation in Brazilian portugues, we both coment how it felt like a youtube skit it happend so natural it was so nice. Its sad to see such a good game like this to be in such a state but im still have for the good times and the very hard and streefull area 51 raid mission.
You are probably comparing it wot aiming which is not how tanks work irl, your shots flying off in a random direction because you didn't wait 3sec to fire isn't a real thing.
Having played World of Tanks & War Thunder for years on end I'm not gonna lie In comparison to those 2 games Armored Warfare is fun & Relaxing. I'm glad to see other people getting back into the game/or at least checking it out again after having not played it for awhile since first release.
I was an alpha tester on this game, it showed so much promise. The PVE took over the game I think a couple of years ago. It also had a pvepvp mode at one point, that was actually fun, taking objectives to get like a uav. But the game suffered for light tanks and basically anything that wasn't a heavy tank. When they reworked heavy tanks, I.e t14 used to do like 1k damage to 400 felt aweful. People complained about the abrams weak spot allot. At one point AI lazered your weak spots when moving. A fun tank in pve was the t5 or 6 up armour m60 on the isreal line. Good rate of fire with decent hesh damage. Good Times.
Remember when ATGM AI could literally be facing the other direction but their ATGM still fucking aimbotted you 180? Swingfire AI were the absolute worst...
@WatcherMovie008 oh god, yes the swing fires could shoot you from below hills too. It was insane. And the missiles did huge damage too. They where number 1 target to shoot when spotted. But often could see you before you could see them.
@@Doom_Slug Like for how awful Swingfire AI was, it was nothing compared to when Arty AI use to exist, and they were completely broken because they ONLY focused on the first person that got spotted and did not prioritize anyone else. Oh, and the also spawn out of the map so you know, if you don't have any AFV/IFV to spot for your team, you're SOL.
@@WatcherMovie008 I remember the PVE artillery they would just focus one player until someone either killed the artillery or the poor bastard that was being shot at was killed. Then it would move on to the next until that bastard was dead. Then there was a time that T-15 had the ability to fire all 4 ATGMs right into the turret ring regardless of range or APS systems. But what made me give up playing was the over releasing of copy and paste tanks and battle paths. Devs became more concerned about ways to make money rather than making the game enjoyable to play. I started back when the game first went into open beta and a few RUclipsrs use to play the game regularly. That kind of went to hell when they decided to get rid of Obsidian Entertainment which was trying to make a unique tank game with the basics being similar to World of Tanks. The publishers basically kicked them and then made it a clone of World of Tanks.
Had fun playing it. Played pretty much from early closed beta in 2015 till early 2020. Had fun playing with friends and dominating in battalion tournaments. Sadly it's pretty much dead game without future. For fun logged into my account and still have pretty much all the tanks available after those few years.
Ah, AW. I played it, found out about it back when Jingles played it. I play it occasionally, but it is missing that bit of physics i like. The tanks are glued to the ground, they dont flip, they barely jump over terrain and falling off a cliff is unsatisfying. Even driving around on the map the tanks just feel... stiff. Its less like driving a 70 or so ton heavy tank, but rather a toy tank. Not to mention do they have constant battle passes where you need to purchase the ability to participate.. and the tanks in the pass are really interesting, but premium, so you cant get them in the tech tree. Id prefer if those tanks were instead skins, or premium versions of tech tree tanks that you can get after the pass is over. But nooo.... So yeah, kind of want to play AW, at the same time.. i just dont feel like playing AW.
well the battle pass is kinda ok 4month content for 7.5€ on pre order i got from one battle pass like near one year of premium and few premium tanks from the battle pass shop and a tier 9 one from battle pass missions which give u fragments i got more premium tanks and near 1year of premium and boosters for that money in 2 months and i never got this much in 5 years of wot and 20k battles.
I played this game back in 2015/2016 and tbh it was so fun then, but out of nowhere things just kept getting worse and the player base just dwindled and disappeared. It had so much potential.
Oh man. I invested a tad bit of money in AW. I stopped playing when they fired the US developer. Man I really wanted that game to just explode with popularity. I was so incredibly tired of playing WW2 tanks and it offered what I wanted so badly and it just fell on its face hard. If I had the cash I would have formed a company bought the IP. It could have given World of Tanks such a run for its money. So depressing.
Nah if you has cash and you buy it, you will lose your money and close your company because this game is dying and you cannot earn money from it (although i don't play it), it is pretty much like the WOT so why people want to leave WOT and play this game 😅 there are not many interesting things or idea to let player abandoned the WOT and play this game
Honestly I have started playing it and found it very fun, the aim system is nice and the PvP and PvE Isnt stale with the maps, grind is smooth and not boring, Too bad not many people know about this gem. I would love to see some more Armored Warfare content here! EDIT: Have stopped playing recent time due to pvp being p2w and boring :/
Sooo... I play AW for like 7 years already and I love this title a lot. As for spending money for game, as current game goes, it is worth to get access to battle path for 2999 gold while it happens. It gives access to 4 premium vehicles, some gold back, camos, skins, avatars, titles and boosters. If you are kinda cheap players, every week logs give 100 gold, so after 30 weeks or so you can get access for free. Now current BP is ending, but when next come it is worth trying. Seeing your gameplay of M1134 and hearing that you consider it bad it broke my heart. At this moment M1134 is one of best missile carring TD with great mobility, good firepower with fast reload. It can even survive some shots. Top attack are useful in two cases: if you cannot pen a vehicle from front with regular ATGMs and if you want to dmg target behind rock. Otherwise it is just waste of dps.
true for 2 battle passes i got 4-5 premiums plus few marathons some tier 5-6 tanks, and near one year premium days and many boosters from battle coins shop.
I firstly played this game back in 2020 it was a fun and cool game of modern tanks and I enjoy them. Despite updates caused game files to increase on April 2021 I deleted it because not enough space storage although I tried to removed u used files. On August 2021 finally can download the game back but sadly November 2021 I deleted again and forever this time for same reason as April 2021 and until now I can't have the game back
They did advertise a lot early on. But the thing is, there wasn't enough to separate it from World of Tanks. (Allegedly, the publisher wanted it to actually be more like WOT on purpose) So... if you already play WOT, what's the point right?
I made the mistake to buy premium tanks in this game for at least 120 euro. And then the player number decreased so much that they had to join servers.... And I stopped playing because I was finished with school and had no time anymore. I loved the PvE mode but the game never really cought me again in later years.
@@xxch1coriaxx WoT Blitz is better than WoT. Unrelated but i once played WoT untill Tier V (T-34), never got more than 1 human player besides me on a match. And sometimes the matches died as if the server hamster was dying.

I still remember when the Leopard 2A4 has no turret ring armor and Autocannons would front bang you from across the map, making the tank basically unplayable. Leo 2A4, the one tank in that game I wanted to love, but didnt. Its armor always felt like way to much butter.
It's more casual than war thunder and that's the best part of it. Unlocking new tanks is a pain tho cos you still need to grind free tanks even you got premium ones
War Thunder is a grindfest, but the monetization isn't as bad as Armored Warfare's. Out of the big 3 (WOT, WT, AW), Armored Warfare has by far the worse monetization out of any of them.
But this game have best grinding not like wt need 1 month for grinding it and even the game having trouble with the player, but its good game for playing it and best mechanism and wt don't have Indonesian tank but this game have it
played it back in 2015-2016 and always excited to play. i really loved the game, grinded the russian tech line and a few other country. but the server lag is disapointing, i lived in SEA and as far i remember they don't have SEA server back then.
Overmatch is basically a simulation of the shell having too much penetration for the thickness of the armor, so the shell just sails through one side and then out the other side. The game use to simulate that much better years ago than it seems to today.
I still have allot of fun with it.. not even spend a penny on it and got like 8 premium tanks to try out (1 day) and 35 days premium for free. I cant find any other tank game that has PVE like AW and they update still monthly.
Today the M1A2 Abrams, a tier 9 can be vaporized by a 30mm BB gun in less than 5 seconds, yet Russian armor is indestructible. Little lightly armored vehicles like the Wiesel or any of the light tanks and TDs can get hit by a 120mm or 152mm cannon and it will say NO EFFECT and they keep driving like nothing happened. One other thing, and this has been going on since 2015, I am a closed Beta tester. No matter where you are on the battlefield, when the AI magically beam down from the Enterprise, they will ALWAYS spawn in BEHIND you and either kill you or reduce your health to like 25% or something before you can even react. It is still this way today. As a side note, yes the merging of the servers have made the game almost unplayable in the US, my ping is now consistently 138 even with an internet speed of 900+. One day I bought a new computer setup, was playing WOT at the time, when I logged in to play my ping was 13, this was back in 2012/2013. The merging of the servers was the worst thing this company ever did. Today, virtually 90% of my battles has some yahoo typing in chat in Russian. At one point back in 2019 even the global chat, which was removed BTW (gee I wonder why) was FLOODED with Polish or German or Russian and nobody here in the US could even read what they where saying. How in the FUCK are we supposed to communicate as a team if NOBODY can understand each other? Back in the day it was just funny as fuck when the WOT players came in thinking they were gonna rule the game. It is one of the main reasons the IS-7 was added to the game, because of WOT players. THEN they realized that with out their mods they actually suck and the WOT players started to go away. I do occasionally see 1 or 2 players I remember from 9 years ago, but all the vets have packed up and left. Even in their discord when I check the chat history I will see "deleted user" where their name used to be.
War Thunder does have a PvE mode in the form of missions, but they're only for Air Battles and very annoyingly you cant play them unless you actually research and buy the Planes used in each mission
As a more recent AW player, the ammo loadouts you got hurt my soul (knowing how basically useless top-down ATGMs are due to overbuffed roof armor, and how AP is suboptimal for PvE.) And my experience with War Thunder makes me think any sort of PvE is a lost cause, since the damage model mean AI will oneshot you with little to no room for mistakes.
Maybe, but if done properly, it could be fun. The Assault mode is already a basic version of this. But I'd just like a proper PVE tank experience. Think something like Warframe or Warface, but for tanks.
@@PanzerPaw I haven't touched either of those, but I think AW's "Special Operations" mode fits the "Co-op Campaign" description. They're story-bound sets of 4 missions each chapter, each of those missions taking longer than a regular PvE game. Although you can only get access to the previous chapters every weekend with them rotating in chronological order (for the most part, since one of those mission sets was temporarily taken out of rotation because one of those missions is set in Moscow, and one can just imagine the Ukrainian flag/T-84 Oplot spam making the Russian playerbase mad.)

look at the armor models of leo 1 and M48/60 or any tnak that has basic RHA they simplefied them and the only weakspot are the LFP, i'm not kidding an leo 1A5 was able to bounce APDS rounds from my T7 Challenger when i hit the "70mm" UFP.
The game still kicking sadly they had to use Battle Path to keep the player pool high like this upcoming Battle Path which was just announced today coming in November right after this one ends.
I use to play it way way back before ATGMs and coax mg were a thing. I really enjoyed the game back then, it had many features that made me want to play more. Really awesome log in rewards, I would frequently get camos, all sorta boosters and bookoos of free premium time deals. The pve mission rewards didnt feel insanely lacking, You could test out different vehicles before buying or skilling up to them. Upgrades n cmdr skills were all very easy to understand and use. It would occasionally have event things like to get the IS7 by doing like 3 matches or something iirc. Which I fucking adored, the tank and that easy going event. Going from other MMOs and stuff like World of warships....AWs deal there was a blessing. Other games love to force you to play longer n delay rewards like STO does or have events with really grueling requirements like WoWarships. Things I dont always have time or patience for. I did an event in wows to get a special bismarck skin ages ago and the grind for me was so painful, after getting it I literally stopped playing for a solid year. Course other amazing things AW had was its camo system. I freakin loved it. You could buy perm versions with normal in game currency, not only gold bs. You could also rent camos for like 3 to 7 to 30 days. They also didnt just magically freaking vanish after each match either like WoWs does. AW was a very fun, easy going game that made me feel my time n money spent on it was appreciated. Course over time things changed, rebalances, atgms came in, re-tiering......which really killed some formerly very fun tanks. Notably my favorite, the IS7. Pre-atgm Pre-tier change, and kitted properly you could feel nigh invulnerable in the front. Could charge in, just tank or deflect shots easy. While reload n manunvering were slow even with upgrades n skills, the armour and gun made up for it in spades. After all the fuckery though, it seems the armour was hardly effective at all anymore. Yet it was still a huge and lumbering and slow firing and with a less effective gun IME. Thus, it had its fun redeeming qualities stripped away and kept the negatives. Taking it from a really fun tank to play, to a pain and a handicap.
@@PanzerPaw Ya, it was a great game. Server merge was ass to. So many freaking Russians, which as people I have no problem with, but it sure af makes communication with team almost impossible. Before that, some of the most fun I had was playin with 2 friends in a squad at low tier. "Team BlackJack" as we would all use the IS7, 7x3 = 21 thus the refernce.
i have around 800 hours in it, as an ex wot player where i have 3k hours i can say is better in crew,battle economy and ammo economy and battle passes help also u can get much more for that amount of money. I have an account from 2016-2017 but my old pc couldnt run it properly so from 1 year and a half ago i made a pc only for this game and i can run it smooth with a ryzen 2200g. The grinding feels ok better than wot all xp goes for the next tank and u unlock ammo and parts, pve special ops with the weekend rotation secial ops are ok, as a fact u can enable 2 booster from the same time in diferent slots :)) which helps a lot i make like 200-250 xp in 2 hours at high tier 8-9 😂. i love this game if i had the pc i had played it years ago. Also lets not forget the mortar crew, atg team,snipers that thing is cool.
I originally played this back in... well, the beginning, 2015-2016. Loved it. It was basically a WOT clone but it wasn't a cheap knockoff back then. I grew disinterested in it not long after Obsidian left development because the people with the money apparently wanted the game to be a cheap knockoff of WOT. Played it ~6 months ago and it's a totally new game. A totally new, not great, game. The Russians really know how to mess up a good thing.
i have the game but can't really play it cause of my PC, when I build a new one in a month I will try it out again. it was quite fun while I played it and is fun compared to war thunder and it's grind, it was fun but I'm not the biggest fan of games with the spotting mechanic like this game and WOT
I tried Armored Warfare, I like it quite a bit actually. The only problem I have with it is that it freezes my laptop at times and I have to force shut down. Of course there is the distinct lack of a F2P Battle Pass, but I can't really fault it for that when WT has an even more infuriating Battle Pass. I have also tried WoT, AW is 10 times better, both in the teammates not being toxic and the aim system actually shooting where You want it to. And the Servers aren't emmeciated Hamsters! Hmm, if I had to describe what I like about each of the three games, here it is: WT - The best 3D models by far, tanks behave realistically-ish enough, armor actually works, the aim system AW - Has banger PVE modes for when You want to relax, the aim system WoT - You can choose what turret/gun You want Your tank to have and it actually changes the appearance of the tank Here is what I dislike: WT - The instability of the Servers and the distinct low rewards is both RP and SL but mainly SL, the Gold RP AW - The game freezes my entire device from time to time so I have to force restart WoT - Toxic teammates, horrible aim system, horrible physics, the sluggish feel of the vehicles I saw a comment before writing mine that mentioned the physics and AW not allowing tanks to to silly little stunts. I agree that AW has the Gravity way up, but WT has it way down - tanks are flipping over by just turning at speed! Tanks aren't supposed to flip while turning.
I would go into the settings and turn off the recoil animation when firing and getting hit. The zoom in and out animation is really disorienting and doesn't make a lot of sense. Also it been god know how many years and the devs still haven't and still won't fix the issue of AIs still being able to outsee and outsnipe you when you can't see them, even as a recon vehicle whose role in this game is to have superior spotting compared to all other classes.
It kinda does, it's called Assault Arcade Mode. But it's just you and a team defending on an empty area against waves of enemies like if it was CoD Zombies.
I have this game installed, but I really don't want to put much effort into it, since it really does feel like it might die any day. Shame, because it's kinda like WoT, especially with all the crazy prototypes and concept tanks, but it's also not afraid of adding vehicles with interesting weaponry, UNLIKE WoT which is even scared of adding proper shell types and keeps calling things like DM13 or DM23 APCR.
There IS actually a proper PvE campaign. Seasonally ofc... The crew system is a bit too grindy i think. Every single additional skill takes exponentially more XP. The game has a LOT of potential, witch is thrown into the trash, because the devs desperately want it to be WoT 2.0, with it's success. ...has been monetised to hell and back as well.
I’ve looked at getting this game at least a dozen times in the last 2 months I thought it was a bad game because the game screenshots look so low grade

and also he is complaining about it being hard because enemies hit him well while he is standing in an open field and not peeking behind cover
Actually he is aiming, problem is AW replay system doesn't show when people aim, only 3rd person view (I've played this from 2016 to 2021)

@@WatcherMovie008 I remember the PVE artillery they would just focus one player until someone either killed the artillery or the poor bastard that was being shot at was killed. Then it would move on to the next until that bastard was dead. Then there was a time that T-15 had the ability to fire all 4 ATGMs right into the turret ring regardless of range or APS systems. But what made me give up playing was the over releasing of copy and paste tanks and battle paths. Devs became more concerned about ways to make money rather than making the game enjoyable to play. I started back when the game first went into open beta and a few RUclipsrs use to play the game regularly. That kind of went to hell when they decided to get rid of Obsidian Entertainment which was trying to make a unique tank game with the basics being similar to World of Tanks. The publishers basically kicked them and then made it a clone of World of Tanks.

I was sooo into this game. Then the long wait times to get into a battle on the same maps all of the time. One day I just had enough.

Had fun playing it. Played pretty much from early closed beta in 2015 till early 2020. Had fun playing with friends and dominating in battalion tournaments. Sadly it's pretty much dead game without future. For fun logged into my account and still have pretty much all the tanks available after those few years.
Ah, AW. I played it, found out about it back when Jingles played it. I play it occasionally, but it is missing that bit of physics i like. The tanks are glued to the ground, they dont flip, they barely jump over terrain and falling off a cliff is unsatisfying. Even driving around on the map the tanks just feel... stiff. Its less like driving a 70 or so ton heavy tank, but rather a toy tank.
Not to mention do they have constant battle passes where you need to purchase the ability to participate.. and the tanks in the pass are really interesting, but premium, so you cant get them in the tech tree. Id prefer if those tanks were instead skins, or premium versions of tech tree tanks that you can get after the pass is over. But nooo....
So yeah, kind of want to play AW, at the same time.. i just dont feel like playing AW.
well the battle pass is kinda ok 4month content for 7.5€ on pre order i got from one battle pass like near one year of premium and few premium tanks from the battle pass shop and a tier 9 one from battle pass missions which give u fragments i got more premium tanks and near 1year of premium and boosters for that money in 2 months and i never got this much in 5 years of wot and 20k battles.
I played this game back in 2015/2016 and tbh it was so fun then, but out of nowhere things just kept getting worse and the player base just dwindled and disappeared. It had so much potential.
armored warfare made me realize that I really want the bradley aaws-h in warthunder, hypersonic kinetic missiles would be very fun and balanced

Oh man. I invested a tad bit of money in AW. I stopped playing when they fired the US developer. Man I really wanted that game to just explode with popularity. I was so incredibly tired of playing WW2 tanks and it offered what I wanted so badly and it just fell on its face hard. If I had the cash I would have formed a company bought the IP. It could have given World of Tanks such a run for its money. So depressing.
Nah if you has cash and you buy it, you will lose your money and close your company because this game is dying and you cannot earn money from it (although i don't play it), it is pretty much like the WOT so why people want to leave WOT and play this game 😅 there are not many interesting things or idea to let player abandoned the WOT and play this game

Sooo... I play AW for like 7 years already and I love this title a lot. As for spending money for game, as current game goes, it is worth to get access to battle path for 2999 gold while it happens. It gives access to 4 premium vehicles, some gold back, camos, skins, avatars, titles and boosters. If you are kinda cheap players, every week logs give 100 gold, so after 30 weeks or so you can get access for free. Now current BP is ending, but when next come it is worth trying.
Seeing your gameplay of M1134 and hearing that you consider it bad it broke my heart. At this moment M1134 is one of best missile carring TD with great mobility, good firepower with fast reload. It can even survive some shots. Top attack are useful in two cases: if you cannot pen a vehicle from front with regular ATGMs and if you want to dmg target behind rock. Otherwise it is just waste of dps.
true for 2 battle passes i got 4-5 premiums plus few marathons some tier 5-6 tanks, and near one year premium days and many boosters from battle coins shop.
I firstly played this game back in 2020 it was a fun and cool game of modern tanks and I enjoy them. Despite updates caused game files to increase on April 2021 I deleted it because not enough space storage although I tried to removed u used files. On August 2021 finally can download the game back but sadly November 2021 I deleted again and forever this time for same reason as April 2021 and until now I can't have the game back
I miss this game so much...the lack of progression content just has me in a weird place about not wanting to promote it anymore.
They need to advertise and sponsor this game imo. World of tanks keep advertising that's why it's still active
They did advertise a lot early on. But the thing is, there wasn't enough to separate it from World of Tanks. (Allegedly, the publisher wanted it to actually be more like WOT on purpose) So... if you already play WOT, what's the point right?

I made the mistake to buy premium tanks in this game for at least 120 euro. And then the player number decreased so much that they had to join servers.... And I stopped playing because I was finished with school and had no time anymore. I loved the PvE mode but the game never really cought me again in later years.
Ah this makes me sad too. It looks better than World of Tanks to me, and the in game mechanics feels really good to me compared to other games.

Unrelated but i once played WoT untill Tier V (T-34), never got more than 1 human player besides me on a match. And sometimes the matches died as if the server hamster was dying.

I still remember when the Leopard 2A4 has no turret ring armor and Autocannons would front bang you from across the map, making the tank basically unplayable. Leo 2A4, the one tank in that game I wanted to love, but didnt. Its armor always felt like way to much butter.

It's more casual than war thunder and that's the best part of it. Unlocking new tanks is a pain tho cos you still need to grind free tanks even you got premium ones
War Thunder is a grindfest, but the monetization isn't as bad as Armored Warfare's. Out of the big 3 (WOT, WT, AW), Armored Warfare has by far the worse monetization out of any of them.
But this game have best grinding not like wt need 1 month for grinding it and even the game having trouble with the player, but its good game for playing it and best mechanism and wt don't have Indonesian tank but this game have it
played it back in 2015-2016 and always excited to play. i really loved the game, grinded the russian tech line and a few other country. but the server lag is disapointing, i lived in SEA and as far i remember they don't have SEA server back then.

Overmatch is basically a simulation of the shell having too much penetration for the thickness of the armor, so the shell just sails through one side and then out the other side. The game use to simulate that much better years ago than it seems to today.
I still play this game and I'm from the US. My ping is usually always averaged at 180. I'm glad they're finally adding a tier 8 T-80 soon.

A tank with a Bent Barrel is not Depressed it has "Elevatory Disfunction" Blue Pill doesn't help though.
I still have allot of fun with it.. not even spend a penny on it and got like 8 premium tanks to try out (1 day) and 35 days premium for free. I cant find any other tank game that has PVE like AW and they update still monthly.
Today the M1A2 Abrams, a tier 9 can be vaporized by a 30mm BB gun in less than 5 seconds, yet Russian armor is indestructible. Little lightly armored vehicles like the Wiesel or any of the light tanks and TDs can get hit by a 120mm or 152mm cannon and it will say NO EFFECT and they keep driving like nothing happened. One other thing, and this has been going on since 2015, I am a closed Beta tester. No matter where you are on the battlefield, when the AI magically beam down from the Enterprise, they will ALWAYS spawn in BEHIND you and either kill you or reduce your health to like 25% or something before you can even react. It is still this way today.
As a side note, yes the merging of the servers have made the game almost unplayable in the US, my ping is now consistently 138 even with an internet speed of 900+. One day I bought a new computer setup, was playing WOT at the time, when I logged in to play my ping was 13, this was back in 2012/2013. The merging of the servers was the worst thing this company ever did. Today, virtually 90% of my battles has some yahoo typing in chat in Russian. At one point back in 2019 even the global chat, which was removed BTW (gee I wonder why) was FLOODED with Polish or German or Russian and nobody here in the US could even read what they where saying. How in the FUCK are we supposed to communicate as a team if NOBODY can understand each other?
Back in the day it was just funny as fuck when the WOT players came in thinking they were gonna rule the game. It is one of the main reasons the IS-7 was added to the game, because of WOT players. THEN they realized that with out their mods they actually suck and the WOT players started to go away. I do occasionally see 1 or 2 players I remember from 9 years ago, but all the vets have packed up and left. Even in their discord when I check the chat history I will see "deleted user" where their name used to be.
War Thunder does have a PvE mode in the form of missions, but they're only for Air Battles and very annoyingly you cant play them unless you actually research and buy the Planes used in each mission
As a more recent AW player, the ammo loadouts you got hurt my soul (knowing how basically useless top-down ATGMs are due to overbuffed roof armor, and how AP is suboptimal for PvE.)
And my experience with War Thunder makes me think any sort of PvE is a lost cause, since the damage model mean AI will oneshot you with little to no room for mistakes.
Maybe, but if done properly, it could be fun. The Assault mode is already a basic version of this. But I'd just like a proper PVE tank experience. Think something like Warframe or Warface, but for tanks.
@@PanzerPaw I haven't touched either of those, but I think AW's "Special Operations" mode fits the "Co-op Campaign" description.
They're story-bound sets of 4 missions each chapter, each of those missions taking longer than a regular PvE game. Although you can only get access to the previous chapters every weekend with them rotating in chronological order (for the most part, since one of those mission sets was temporarily taken out of rotation because one of those missions is set in Moscow, and one can just imagine the Ukrainian flag/T-84 Oplot spam making the Russian playerbase mad.)

look at the armor models of leo 1 and M48/60 or any tnak that has basic RHA they simplefied them and the only weakspot are the LFP, i'm not kidding an leo 1A5 was able to bounce APDS rounds from my T7 Challenger when i hit the "70mm" UFP.
The game still kicking sadly they had to use Battle Path to keep the player pool high like this upcoming Battle Path which was just announced today coming in November right after this one ends.

I use to play it way way back before ATGMs and coax mg were a thing. I really enjoyed the game back then, it had many features that made me want to play more. Really awesome log in rewards, I would frequently get camos, all sorta boosters and bookoos of free premium time deals. The pve mission rewards didnt feel insanely lacking, You could test out different vehicles before buying or skilling up to them. Upgrades n cmdr skills were all very easy to understand and use. It would occasionally have event things like to get the IS7 by doing like 3 matches or something iirc. Which I fucking adored, the tank and that easy going event. Going from other MMOs and stuff like World of warships....AWs deal there was a blessing. Other games love to force you to play longer n delay rewards like STO does or have events with really grueling requirements like WoWarships. Things I dont always have time or patience for. I did an event in wows to get a special bismarck skin ages ago and the grind for me was so painful, after getting it I literally stopped playing for a solid year. Course other amazing things AW had was its camo system. I freakin loved it. You could buy perm versions with normal in game currency, not only gold bs. You could also rent camos for like 3 to 7 to 30 days. They also didnt just magically freaking vanish after each match either like WoWs does. AW was a very fun, easy going game that made me feel my time n money spent on it was appreciated.
Course over time things changed, rebalances, atgms came in, re-tiering......which really killed some formerly very fun tanks. Notably my favorite, the IS7. Pre-atgm Pre-tier change, and kitted properly you could feel nigh invulnerable in the front. Could charge in, just tank or deflect shots easy. While reload n manunvering were slow even with upgrades n skills, the armour and gun made up for it in spades. After all the fuckery though, it seems the armour was hardly effective at all anymore. Yet it was still a huge and lumbering and slow firing and with a less effective gun IME. Thus, it had its fun redeeming qualities stripped away and kept the negatives. Taking it from a really fun tank to play, to a pain and a handicap.
I started towards the end of that era and it's still so sad to see where it all went.
@@PanzerPaw Ya, it was a great game. Server merge was ass to. So many freaking Russians, which as people I have no problem with, but it sure af makes communication with team almost impossible. Before that, some of the most fun I had was playin with 2 friends in a squad at low tier. "Team BlackJack" as we would all use the IS7, 7x3 = 21 thus the refernce.

i have around 800 hours in it, as an ex wot player where i have 3k hours i can say is better in crew,battle economy and ammo economy and battle passes help also u can get much more for that amount of money. I have an account from 2016-2017 but my old pc couldnt run it properly so from 1 year and a half ago i made a pc only for this game and i can run it smooth with a ryzen 2200g. The grinding feels ok better than wot all xp goes for the next tank and u unlock ammo and parts, pve special ops with the weekend rotation secial ops are ok, as a fact u can enable 2 booster from the same time in diferent slots :)) which helps a lot i make like 200-250 xp in 2 hours at high tier 8-9 😂. i love this game if i had the pc i had played it years ago. Also lets not forget the mortar crew, atg team,snipers that thing is cool.
I originally played this back in... well, the beginning, 2015-2016. Loved it. It was basically a WOT clone but it wasn't a cheap knockoff back then. I grew disinterested in it not long after Obsidian left development because the people with the money apparently wanted the game to be a cheap knockoff of WOT. Played it ~6 months ago and it's a totally new game. A totally new, not great, game. The Russians really know how to mess up a good thing.

i have the game but can't really play it cause of my PC, when I build a new one in a month I will try it out again. it was quite fun while I played it and is fun compared to war thunder and it's grind, it was fun but I'm not the biggest fan of games with the spotting mechanic like this game and WOT
I tried Armored Warfare, I like it quite a bit actually. The only problem I have with it is that it freezes my laptop at times and I have to force shut down. Of course there is the distinct lack of a F2P Battle Pass, but I can't really fault it for that when WT has an even more infuriating Battle Pass. I have also tried WoT, AW is 10 times better, both in the teammates not being toxic and the aim system actually shooting where You want it to. And the Servers aren't emmeciated Hamsters!
Hmm, if I had to describe what I like about each of the three games, here it is:
WT - The best 3D models by far, tanks behave realistically-ish enough, armor actually works, the aim system
AW - Has banger PVE modes for when You want to relax, the aim system
WoT - You can choose what turret/gun You want Your tank to have and it actually changes the appearance of the tank
Here is what I dislike:
WT - The instability of the Servers and the distinct low rewards is both RP and SL but mainly SL, the Gold RP
AW - The game freezes my entire device from time to time so I have to force restart
WoT - Toxic teammates, horrible aim system, horrible physics, the sluggish feel of the vehicles
I saw a comment before writing mine that mentioned the physics and AW not allowing tanks to to silly little stunts. I agree that AW has the Gravity way up, but WT has it way down - tanks are flipping over by just turning at speed! Tanks aren't supposed to flip while turning.
I would go into the settings and turn off the recoil animation when firing and getting hit. The zoom in and out animation is really disorienting and doesn't make a lot of sense. Also it been god know how many years and the devs still haven't and still won't fix the issue of AIs still being able to outsee and outsnipe you when you can't see them, even as a recon vehicle whose role in this game is to have superior spotting compared to all other classes.
Armored warfare is such a fun game but they killed the console version years ago

It kinda does, it's called Assault Arcade Mode. But it's just you and a team defending on an empty area against waves of enemies like if it was CoD Zombies.

I have this game installed, but I really don't want to put much effort into it, since it really does feel like it might die any day. Shame, because it's kinda like WoT, especially with all the crazy prototypes and concept tanks, but it's also not afraid of adding vehicles with interesting weaponry, UNLIKE WoT which is even scared of adding proper shell types and keeps calling things like DM13 or DM23 APCR.
