I used to hate dishes as well...probably because I had to do them as a kid..but then I liked a clean kitchen so it became just routine and enjoyable..as long as there are not tons..then I get the perpetrators on board...you used it you wash it...or put in dishwasher...lol..

I like that you're posting these on Sunday so I can watch them on Monday (from now on). Sunday is a lazy day at my house so I usually do all my chores Mon-Wed. I'm tired by Thursday so that's usually another lazy-ish day, plus I need a day to recharge for the weekend 😊 Works out perfectly 👍

Oh I also had my husband put up a clothes line in the garage - hanging clothes when it’s so hot where you live will dry in no time.
How I do my laundry is I designate a day to each person! So keep each person laundry separate from everyone else’s and do it once a week!! Like have a laundry day or two, where you just do everyone’s batches for the week! I’ve tried so many different ways. This was just the best for me:)

I am so glad i saw this video!!! I was gonna be a complete couch potato but it motivated me to scrub both bath tubs deep clean one restroom and wash the bed sheets and comforter and do my two year olds laundry! I was also gonna order take out but i cooked a yummy meal for my family instead 😋😁👍

One way I found that works for me to help stay on top of laundry is by planning different loads per day. I got a planner to help me remember and keep up with otherwise I wouldn't make it a priority. But I'll do towels and linens one 1 day, kids on another, ours one day and delicates and repeat as often as needed for how quickly it piles up. Hope this helps😊💕
I think we’ve all come to the conclusion that we hate laundry lolol 🤣 This Sunday motivation was key to start my week! I started my loads of laundry, dishes, swept and mopped, changed the sheets in my daughters room, cleaned her playroom and scheduled my groceries to be delivered. Now I’m exhausted on my couch waiting until she wakes up and when my groceries get here I’ll start bbq chicken on the grill and some fries and veggies. Simple Sunday 👍🏻👏🏻❤️
Idk why but I feel like time goes by so slowly with your baby, but in a very good way! Other RUclips moms I see I feel like their babies grew up in a snap and it’s so precious to still see Greyson be a little 3 month baby ❤️❤️

Same struggle with laundry😂 clean laundry just piles high in the laundry room, I hateee putting it away.
My “tip” only works half the time for me because I’m lazy and never do it lol. But folding them hot out of the dryer helps so much. Some times I’ll just plop down on the couch with the kids in the living room and fold them and put them right back into the basket. Helps with wrinkles and it’s easier to put them away later during bed time since I’m already going into each room to put people to bed 😊

I have found that a to do list for me is actually more overwhelming. I've decided to just do what needs to be done when I get the chance. It takes away the anxiety of feeling like I have to tackle all these things today. I just try to take it easy now. It's just better for me that way. But to each it's own. Great job anyway Tara!

I start a load of laundry first thing EVERY morning. Having a larger washer helps to get more done.

Laundry is actually my favorite household chore if I had a fave. One thing I’ve found that has helped me with laundry is I do it daily and I literally hang up everything. I only fold socks, undergarments, pajamas, towels and sheets. In fact we don’t even have dressers in the bedrooms. I use cute little baskets on the shelves in our closets for undergarments/socks/pajamas. Kitchen/dishes are my least favorite.
I hang everything up too lol. Makes laundry a breeze.
Folding the tiny humans clothes is definitely my least favorite thing on my to do list. Especially when my toddler usually just pulls out everything the second I put it away 🤣

We replaced our old dresser that had drawers that were really hard to open and i was gonna donate it but instead I ended up redoing it but left the drawers tough to open and used it for my son's clothes lol so his clothes are organized and he has no way to open the drawers and mess them up 😂😂

I’m putting away laundry as I’m watching this video. I have a long list of stuff written down but trying to tackle a little at a time. I’m 6 1/2 months pregnant and so I want my house to be cleaned and organized before baby gets here 💕
for the laundry, the best thing you can do is cut down on hampers! my suggestion is to have one hamper for each type of load you do. then, say you have 3 or 4 different loads, do one load every other day, and then the next day worry about folding/putting away. This way laundry takes 10-20 min each day and you’re not worried about it piling up because in the time that you’re doing the other laundry, the new stuff is piling up so you’ll have 1 perfect-sized load by the time you get to it! And, because you only have one hamper for each type of load, if one is filling up faster than the others, just adjust your rotation a little! hopefully this helps!

It’s 5pm in the U.K. and I still haven’t tacked my to do list today! I have to do laundry, vacuum, clean the surfaces and unpack some shopping to put away!
This motivated me sooooo much. Love you guys! My list was about the same as yours. Ahhhhhhh organizing and cleaning. One of the tips I have is to do a load of laundry every single day.

Thank you for the extra motivation. I was able to clean/declutter the spare closet, brake down all the amazon boxes from last week and put them in the trash recycling bins, and label the baskets in the laundry room. I have a daily cleaning schedule made up for the week. Each day of the week includes one load of washing and folding laundry. Since you like checklist maybe that will help you tackle it daily. I'm a family of 6. So missing one laundry day completely ruins my day because it takes so long to fold and put everything away.

Currently organizing my daughters cupboard. I am leaving both my kiddos for the first time as I head for Paris for a week. My parents are coming to stay in my house with my kiddos and I need to make sure everything is very organized, all the to do lists are done, routine lists printed and everything labeled to make it easier for my folks 🙀 feeling a little overwhelmed.
I found that doing laundry once a week is so much better then waiting longer. A week worth of cliths takes no time at all! Its daunting, but if you do it weekly ita SO much better!!
I would have so much laundry piled up if I only washed once a week lol! I have to do at least 4 loads a week.
We are also a family of 5. My hubby is a personal trainer and my son does 2 sports. Needless to say I have a LOT of laundry. The way I keep on top of it is 1. I only have one laundry basket in the main part of the house. ALL the clothes go in that basket. Each afternoon I take that one basket to the laundry room and pre-sort the clothes myself. I turn out all the clothes as I sort and check pockets/pre-treat any stains. 2. I use the now empty basket to pull the clothes out of the dryer. These are clothes that I washed the day before. 3. I add soap to the washer and start the load that was pre-set in the washer the day before. 4. I take the basket of laundry to the dining table and fold it all. My kids are old enough to put away their clothes, but I do check after them still. The empty basket goes back in place. 5. Before I go to bed, I move the washed clothes the dryer and re-set a new load in the washer to start the next day. I work full time and laundry is always the first thing I do when I get home otherwise I don't get to it. I usually have a power wash day on Saturday where I wash a few loads and get that all put away, but I never have more than 3 loads to do and I always go to bed with one load in the dryer and a pre-set load in the washer. Also, if I'm not committed to folding and putting the laundry away that day I won't bother washing it at all, because it will just pile up on me.

I have a super long to do list. I have been a working mom for a year after 6 years of being a sahm. I get so tired by the time dinner is finished or my girls are in bed. So my house is a disaster and its really making me miss being a sahm. My house was always in such great order and always clean.

@@tarahendersonAwww. Thank you!! I actually work outside the home. I work for a big family law firm in our area. I have been looking for work from home job but no luck. I've also thought about starting a channel for a long time but I just haven't taken that leap yet.
I was able to fold and put away my laundry, clean the stove & microwave, wipe down all of my stainless steel in my kitchen and then finish watching your video. I absolutely love to clean. I love to feel like I'm making progress.

Hi Tara, I don't have kids at home anymore but I wish I had Kimberly's, Style Mom XO, tip when I did. She puts a load of laundry in the washer before she goes to bed every night. She uses the pods for laundry detergent and puts a pod in and fabric softener in that area and starts the load first thing when she gets up in the morning. I thought this was a good tip to do at least a load a day. It may not get you all caught up but it will help with things getting too piled up. Hope this helps ❤💚💜💙💛

Laundry tip for me with how I manage it is I pick a day to do one “set” of laundry. So like for us, I wash towels sundays, my kids clothes in Tuesday’s, my husbands and my clothes on Thursday’s, I was rugs and bath mats on every other Wednesday’s and I wash bedding on every other Saturday. That way one whole day isn’t just filled with laundry. I get 1-2 loads done and it doesn’t seem as overwhelming. And I do it consistently on the same day every week so it doesn’t pile up and get overwhelming either. Even if it’s only a few items, I wash it. Just how I started doing laundry the last month and it’s worked wonders!

I hate doing the dishes the most! Our laundry routine is to have separate hampers for each type of load like jeans or casual clothes. We sort as we take them off and as soon as one is full I do it immediately. I noticed trying to assign a day for laundry made it pile up which takes all day, and the load a day was too intense of a routine. I also have an ever changing schedule so laundry day would come and I’d skip it to tackle what had to be done right then. Sometimes I’ll do laundry two days in a row but I know I keep up with a family of 4’s laundry without doing laundry more than 4 loads a week!

I once read an article that said to do one load of laundry completely at a time before reloading the washer. You’re more likely to finish is all the way through if there isn’t a load in the dryer waiting to be folded and it reduces laundry being left in baskets. I hope that makes sense. Also when I do laundry I make it “me time.” I’ll watch my fave show and have a snack waiting for me after 😂
