My feet don’t get on with old fashioned leather and can’t get my feet in most of them as I am a big 12 and leather seems to be a small 12. I went for the Scarpa nubuck and still feel great 3 to 4 years on. I also have a pair of Mammut too but 9:times out of 10. I will be in the Scarpa but in really bad weather like hill climbs in snow the Mammut seem to perform at their best.
