Oh I agree....I was just relating how close to the real thing items can be.... In the case of the drill the "Bosch" logo was easy to see...It was just raised enough to leave the outline. Hell I would still be using it if I could get a battery for it....lol...
@@the_langss Used my Dad's old Makita drill forever, type that had a key for the chuck, cartridge battery and metal case.

Would be interesting to see whats inside them and if they are putting a normal amount of copper into the windings. I like Ford TFI coils since they are a proven design, available everywhere, and cost $15 to $30 depending on brand.
You'd have to cut up a MSD Blaster SS coil to compare but it would be interesting. I'm a fan of TFI coils, still they are not all the same.
As long as they work properly I'd use them

Interesting how close to the "Real" thing the Knock-Off's are...I'm sure as you say they probably are all made in the same factory, but have to have a slight variation and obviously no "Official Name" or there would be all sorts of hell raised....I once bought a Cordless Drill...made in China...and you could see where the name of the Original MFG still left a very slight impression from the mold that the body had been injected into. If the design of the battery had been better it was a really good unit and drilled a lot of holes...that is until the battery/s went south. Regards....
Sometimes they get the old molds to make knockoffs but don't think that is the case for these. Got a cheap knockoff impact that uses Makita battery's, I've not used it a ton but works good so far. AvE's did a video on it.

what msd coil did you have fail on you?
MSD is expensive china made junk. GM and Ford coils are road use proven “E” the coils used in millions of cars. They may be china sourced too but have a reputation that MSD’s horrible quality is lacking.
I still use some MSD products mostly because of lack of an alternative or I got a good deal.
