Do you think this is Tony Blair's greatest ever speech?

A speech of an arrogant man who believes his values ought to be everyone else’s values who still thinks his criminal actions in Iraq is justified.
I look back at Blair and I can see most of this country’s divisions stem’s from him.

Can a great speech be separated from its speaker?

This is a really interesting question. I would say, unlike with music etc, speeches are probably more closely linked to their speakers

    Good actor..dreadful MP; criminal PM.
He and his governments have much to answer for the mess this country is in today.

What failures do they have in terms of domestic policy? We saw so many successes during his tenure.

@@AstroTheFungus Mainly the massive suite of surveiIIance laws that were jammed through parliament in the years following 9 11, which drastically expanded the scope of poIicing and inteI powers

@@locorum9103 that’s true, but especially compared to any PM during the last 30 years, Blair’s the only one whose domestic achievements massively outweigh the domestic failures you mentioned. And you can’t really blame these for the mess the UK is today, given many of them were repealed by the coalition.

That's not a question. I suspect you weren't even alive when Sir Tony was PM. 14 years of tory underfunding has ruined our youngsters' education.
