That actually looks quite cool, and it's not even exorbitantly priced either...I agree on the cable, that could be a trouble spot if you're not careful. Well done Freewell. 😎📷

I like this, but I think I prefer the value prop of the PGYTECH version for my use case. I have no need for CF-A, so storing an extra CF-B and having the weather seal meets my needs a little better. I'd prefer even more CF-B holders on either solution, as I tend to only use that card on my Canons and the MicrosSD just stays in the adapter in the body as an emergency backup. My drones all use MicroSD, so I have no need for standard SD slots.

Ahh... the new generation of card holder + card reader. Looks nice but... I have a story to share with my 2nd shooter.
He had one of these card holder + card reader thingies, not this model of course, older version and made from plastic from another manufacturer. He brushed it off the table while trying to change cards and it fell onto a concrete floor, the unit didn't chip or break but 2 of his cards fell out and the card reader stopped working. Fortunately, that was supposed to be our backup card reader and our main reader didn't fail that day. Also had to kick one card quickly so that it didn't fall down to the floor below us.
Since that day, I have this nagging feeling that these devices might not be worth it. Putting too many eggs in one basket, maybe?

Doesn’t Everything have to have a backup when you’re working professionally, though? I’ve dropped this one a few times just to see, and it has yet to pop apart, but I suspect there is certainly a limit to its tolerance for that. But as a wedding and commercial photographer, I would never trust one of anything. Usually not even two of anything haha
