3:01 the tone and the cloud of chords, I'm transported. It's over too soon 😞
Love that shimmering sand color! Rachel has such a wonderful harmonically complex style!
Fantastic! Great tones that even the wonderful Fender Rhodes of the past couldn't produce without a slew of pedals and some post production.
Vintage Vibe is keeping the electric piano on track towards it's ultimate abilities. Also great playing by Rachel.
Love that that chimey high end and fat bottom. What a great instrument especially in Rachel hands.
To say you've knocked it out of the park and this is a game changer would be an understatement. This is the piano I've wanted from the first time I started tweaking and voicing my Rhodes. I have 2 Rhodes (suitcase and stage) , Wurlitzer, Clavinet and I would trade them all for a Vintage Vibe piano with variable voice control. Congratulations to Steve and the entire Vintage Vibe crew for a job well done.
It’s like two instruments in one!! A Rhodes when the slider’s to the left, and a Wurly when it’s to the right!! I want one!!!!! 😃
Beautiful playing and excellent demonstration.
Amazing
That thing sounds & looks killer! 😎
Dam sounding so good. The touch part of life as a musician... When young you want an instrument like that and don't have the money. You get old and can afford it, but you can't lift the dam thing anymore.
From what i understand vintage vibe pianos are not that heavy!
@@hanglider yeah They look to be significantly lighter than a MKII, which is a 2-man lift.
They also have a smaller footprint.
Wonderful
That is one SWEET sounding and
looking keyboard ! 👍 You lucky
girl.
Good God...gorgeous
Monster playing.
I had a space age looking Rhodes with square aluminum tone bars and felt hammers. It was the best sounding of the three I owned. The instrument in the video sounds very nice. I think it's a modified Rhodes.
No,they build the pianos.Vintage vibe.
@@adrianfundescu5407 Correct, but it’s a rhodes under the hood. Same design fundamentally with the tines and pickups and hammers
@@DonaldMohrMusic um... you're telling me that this electric tine piano uses the same mechanics as a different electric tine piano?
That does *not* make it a rhodes under the hood. It makes it an electric tine piano. I'm sure it's heavily inspired by rhodes pianos, but it's clearly a different company with their take on this.
@@thisissami Dude I own a Rhodes MkII Don't Rhodesplain me
It's closer than say...the Hohner Planet, which is also a tine instrument, and also in my collection.
The Pianet doesn't have tines, but reeds.
il keep dreamin
nice keyboard, great tone but: that funky playin does it imo! thanks for that!
Um dos sons mais lindos ótimo
Does that mean the sound getting near to Rhodes mk2?
It's pretty confusing on where to find the exact models I see demos of. Is this the same model that's on vintage kings site? I want to buy one bit they all look different
Me want one!
You're twitter link isn't right.
I hope this is not a silly question but what is the sound output for this set-up?
Which one is this the deluxe?
Voyage Kenny Barron. 😎👍👍
I'm disappointed you did not open the top and show us what is actually happening (the harp is moved to change where the hammers strike.) BTW, my Lounge Lizard Modeling App reproduces the entire spectrum of EPs in the Wujrly/Rhodes sphere and takes up very little computer space.
There’s a lot of videos about that, and I doubt they want to get into the details of what that slider is actually doing, because these circuits are pretty boring. It sounds like you’re loading a preamp but it could just be a boost+mid drop based on what I heard.
There is another video by Vintage Vibe that somewhat shows how the mechanism works. The harp doesn't move at all; the slider raises and lowers all of the pickups, without affecting the action. Pretty cool.
mic placement
Competent technical demonstrator - what Godawful 'musical' examples though. Spectrasonics had the decency to invite Herbie Hancock and Greg Phillinganes to play actual music, not random chords, on their (Keyscape) demos.
