Yeah I’m with ya on that. When I get frustrated with the harp ( and as a beginner, I do often lol) I’ll watch one of Jason’s videos and it motivates me to keep pushing on. I can’t believe what he does here with just a note or two or three. This blows me away
I love it that he says play it slowly at first, then slowly speed it up. Sage advice, and I say that as a teacher Play it well first slowly, then...speed it up gradually until it's up to tempo!
And another "Damn Very Fine Cup o'Coffee" goes tooooooo.... Jason Ricci 😎 I guess after first 53 seconds of the video that it's made having much more experienced players then me, but who cares 😎 Greetings from Croatia and....have fun, I have a video to watch 😂
That's what Lou Reed said, "... Three chords and you have jazz." That's what music is about... Great lesson and sure you enjoyed It too... Eskerrik asko, thank you very much...
I've been listening at work, and I noticed that while listening to you in assembling or predicting what note or chord you'll play next. I'm right 4 out of 5 times. I'm not ready to cut heads yet, but I'm getting there. Great video and so much fun.
Funny how some people get tired of playing over the same groove for an hour, and others of us could sit on that groove all day and be happy. I’m a beginner harmonica player, but this sort of thing definitely helped me get better at bass. I can’t wait to start this exercise! Thank you for another great vid!
I really got to work on this Mooncat. I do too many glissandros. But I must say you can't have too many mics or pedals j/k !! ALL HAIL FREE FRIDAY ! !-Austin 3:17 🌛
Good one, Jason. I'm still just a couple of years into this journey and to this point my learning has been pretty much entirely based around tabs. Just show me the tabs, man, or else I can't do jack! I need to do more stuff like this that's less regimented and more creative. Thanks much!
One note at a time haaaarhaaaar😀 But in what time?? Playing faster than Your shadow Sir. I liked this three note jam very much. It feels so fine and easy-while it is unique. This was another one of Your best lessons I have watched 😀🙏🏻 Superb!!! Thank You
I’ve tried doing this as much as possible. You mentioned keeping it simple before and I always hear ya when I try to do too much. Hey man thanks for all you do and may you have a Merry Christmas and happy new year.
I made an internal combustion engine out of wood this week. I'm a woodworker. Piston rods, valves, push rods, cylinders. The whole ball of wax. Ran great....for 4 minutes. Then it started on fire. What in the world happened? If anyone has a theory, let me know. In the meantime I'll work on this lesson.
Brilliant lesson, far far harder than it looks just sticking to 2 or 3 notes! off to Patreon now to watch that one 🤘🏻

The fight against the slanderous statement that Jason Ricci uses too many notes goes on. 🤟😃
😆 🤣 😂
Now You Shred is another good channel for backing tracks if anyone is looking to have a variety.
