Edit: The soldiers had yellow lights at the ends of their guns, yellow sunlight flashlights? Could explain their being able to fight him like that, since yellow sunlight weaken Bizzaro

Hopefully this doesn't ruin anything for anyone watching season 3, but the people organizing this series are geniuses! To explain: if you see the otherworldly suit Bizarro uses to travel to another earth, it's taken right from The Death Of Superman (2019). Yet in season 3 Bizarro turns into Doomsday. In The Death Of Superman (2019), Doomsday comes to earth in that same exact suit. It's brilliant they took a page from an animated movie into live action!
Doomsday actually came to Earth in that suit in the original Death of Superman comic book from 1993. Either way, it is a really good subversion of expectations. Another call back that I like is that by having Bizarro turn into Doomsday, they're somewhat referencing his origin in the Justice League Unlimited cartoon. In the cartoon, multiple attempts were made to clone Superman, the first being Bizarro and the second being Doomsday.
Hopefully not but you may be right. If only they ditched the facial hair, got a better voice &, a more slightly more Vampiric/Undead Zombie esque look (though they tried & did good), it'd be pretty perfect.

I don't mind them changing certain things in the Superman lore. Just cause it's old doesn't always mean it's good. I like this reimagining of bizarro. The original was cringe. I always found it campy and stupid and I'm 65 years old. This show's writers have real talent and care about the IP. The characters are mostly logical and the only thing I miss is Kara Zorel should be here. NOT the goody goody shallow CW version but the "real" Kara from DC comics.

A yellow sun Weakens Bizarro but is the source of Superman's power. A red sun makes superman as strong as a regular human but would make Bizarro as Strong as Superman under a yellow sun. Green K would Weaken Superman but would make Bizarro stronger with each passing moment. Kryptonite X would slowly take Bizzaro's power away while giving Kryptonian powers. Bizzaro is the polar opposite of Superman(Duh) lol

There are multiple Bizarro. The one you're thinking of is Bizarro world, Bizarro. But there is reverse world bizarro and clone bizarro. Reverse world bizarro is this one. I think Smallville even had the clone Bizarro. The Animation series had Bizarro world, Bizarro. Reverse world Bizarro is just rarely used since it takes more world building that just being a clone from a different dimension where the world is just weird.
So what I'm not following is that Bizarro clearly killed his world's version of Ally Alston yet she is shown to be fine later on. I don't buy that "She was on K" when Bizarro attacked her. She didn't show any signs she was and was clearly not able to even attempt to stop Bizarro.
He likely didnt kill her. That looked more like a hard slap. He probably didnt kill her because he did not want his popularity sinking any further in his world. Which is also why he went through the trouble of flying through the portal to the other world just so that no one would stop him from destroying that magic stone.

This was the most interesting take on bizarro in my opinion because it doesn’t say that he’s a clone here. He’s just another version of Superman from an alternate reality. It’s really interesting to me that that’s the direction they went with that said I would’ve liked to seen a Superman clone instead because the rest of the series after this was kind of lame

I'm so confused. So, they came in with guns and then didn't use them. I thought maybe they were using red solar rays to make him like a human and that's why their punches were landing and seemed to even be causing damage. But then he just easily super speeds out after the fight. What is this?
The version of Superman in the clip is called Bizarro, the most basic way of explaining him is that he is Superman, but his powers are kind of reversed, so red sun strengthens him, and yellow sun weakens him. when the soldiers enter, they all have their yellow lights on which is why he drops to the floor, he then starts pushing them and once the lights are off him he starts using his super strength a little more. To be fair, the scene could of handled itself better and explain the yellow light guns a little better since they just look like flashlights lol. Also I really love that some versions of Bizarro have frost vision and heat breath instead of heat vision and frost breath.

Cool factor: you can’t forget about the cool factor. Guns aren’t just for shooting super heroes or anti-heroes.
Yellow sun rays from the flashlights. Bullets won't Penetrate him til he's super weak, but the rays make I'm weak enough to get beat up.
Guns are only effective from a distance. At 20 feet a knife defeats a gun.

Originally, bizzaro was his opposite. Green Kryptonite made him stronger, where it weakens Superman, or kills him.
A yellow sun Weakens Bizarro but is the source of Superman's power. A red sun makes superman as strong as a regular human but would make Bizarro as Strong as Superman under a yellow sun. Green K would Weaken Superman but would make Bizarro stronger with each passing moment. Kryptonite X would slowly take Bizzaro's power away while giving Kryptonian powers.
Bizzaro is the polar opposite of Superman(Duh) lol
Looking back after the season 3 finale and their choice of suit Bizarro used to travel between worlds. Looked like Doomsday from the comic.
All those digital filters and they didn't realise it just makes their CGI work look even cheaper, nastier and stand out more....it's like The CW just suck at everything except pleasing morons.
To be fair I think everything pre-Arrow Season 3 is mostly crap, I abandoned the CW shortly after the flash crossover. But this show looks 100x better than most of what came before it. Granted I haven't watched it. But I gotta disagree about this scene in particular it was pretty awesome and makes me wanna watch. Funny seeing him wear doomsdays containment suit though lol

There are multiple Bizarro. The one you're thinking of is Bizarro world, Bizarro. But there is reverse world bizarro and clone bizarro. Reverse world bizarro is this one. I think Smallville even had the clone Bizarro. The Animation series had Bizarro world, Bizarro. Reverse world Bizarro is just rarely used since it takes more world building that just being a clone from a different dimension where the world is just weird.

So what I'm not following is that Bizarro clearly killed his world's version of Ally Alston yet she is shown to be fine later on. I don't buy that "She was on K" when Bizarro attacked her. She didn't show any signs she was and was clearly not able to even attempt to stop Bizarro.
He likely didnt kill her. That looked more like a hard slap.
He probably didnt kill her because he did not want his popularity sinking any further in his world.
Which is also why he went through the trouble of flying through the portal to the other world just so that no one would stop him from destroying that magic stone.
This all hits different after the end of Season 3.

no its bizarro's earth. Where everything is the opposite of ours. Yellow sun for us? --> Red Sun for them, Sphere planet for us? --> Square planet for them

Probably because of how powerful a figure she was in his world. If he'd flat out killed his Ally, Tal, Lana and Jon would have taken him and possibly Lois and Jordan out of the picture entirely.

This was the most interesting take on bizarro in my opinion because it doesn’t say that he’s a clone here. He’s just another version of Superman from an alternate reality. It’s really interesting to me that that’s the direction they went with that said I would’ve liked to seen a Superman clone instead because the rest of the series after this was kind of lame

I'm so confused. So, they came in with guns and then didn't use them. I thought maybe they were using red solar rays to make him like a human and that's why their punches were landing and seemed to even be causing damage. But then he just easily super speeds out after the fight. What is this?
The version of Superman in the clip is called Bizarro, the most basic way of explaining him is that he is Superman, but his powers are kind of reversed, so red sun strengthens him, and yellow sun weakens him. when the soldiers enter, they all have their yellow lights on which is why he drops to the floor, he then starts pushing them and once the lights are off him he starts using his super strength a little more.
To be fair, the scene could of handled itself better and explain the yellow light guns a little better since they just look like flashlights lol.
Also I really love that some versions of Bizarro have frost vision and heat breath instead of heat vision and frost breath.
