This is a great tutorial . I have this this counter for a minute and never went install it because it look like I thought it would be complicated but it wasn’t thanks to you.
Thank you so much! I would have been totally lost, there were virtually no instructions in the box with the counter, but having watched your video I installed mine in under 5 minutes. Incredibly helpful.
Thank you! I’ve had me new counter nearly a year and struggled to make any sense of it but your video has aced it today! Finally don’t need to count and get the wrong number of rows lol ❤
Received my first Sentro 48 with counter knitting machine and the same digital counter like yours, today. I had installed the digital counter to it as well. This tutorial of yours had helped me with ease to installed the digital counter in a jive. Thank you much ❤. * I've glued the magnet with a multi purpose glue which can easily remove later instead of a heavy duty elephant/ gorilla glue.
Thanks, I like your method of putting the sensor and magnet on the outside of the ring rather than on the inside of the ring. Works great and doesn't get in the way of the yarn and knitting.
I ordered mine, $14.99 for my innovations machine. Works great. The only difference I did was I used a Dremel to make a divot for the magnet to sit into because the magnet was a little tall to make it past the center yarn holder. I glued it in and it worked. I also used Velcro to attach the reader and digital display the. Tied the wires to a leg and taped up the loose wire in the center hanging. Thank you so much for this video
You've had three of these machines? You must have had really good luck with them. I would never buy this brand again if I were to replace the one I have.
If you choose to put the big one on there you can fill in the back with some hot glue to fill the back and then seal it with some UV RESIN once filled then you can use your gorilla glue strip ;) Great video by the way!!!
Thank you so much for this tutorial, I think it is what everybody with a dentro needed 😂 just a question, does it work only on tube mode or also for panel?
I was not aware that this was an issue with the sentro. I bought my sentro because I was disillusioned with knit clothing costs. I had found a wool knit beanie at a jobsite and brought it home only to learn the company was selling them for $90usd, I was floored. The plan was for my daughter and I to learn but she lost interest after the first hat, and now I am thinking of buying circular needles, lol. I think the machine has made eight hats now. I tend to be preemptive so I will be sure to order the counter soon. A bit of advice for anyone thinking of doing this to their machine, if you twist the individual wire ends tight first before putting them into the terminal connections on the counter you won't have the same issue with the wires spreading out and it will make for a more solid connection electrically which will help avoid an intermittent signal from the magnet sensor (the yellow thing).
Interesting video however, as far as I know the red or brown coded wire is the positive one. That could be the reason why the counter is showing part numbers.
Hey Crystal 🔮 JAMMIT DAMMITTTTT 😢 Counter info. I was wondering how does it continue working? Does it take batteries 🔋 eventually. I seen one that has a plug and I hardly even have any plugs in my house. I think each plug has plug strips hahaha. I am very curious because I didn't hear you mention batteries. Them buggers are so expensive too. Especially when im on an insulin pump, I have a blood pressure cuff. Actually 2 of them cuz you can't trust them just like the stinking counter. Please lmk. Thank you.
So far, this counter STILL hasn't stopped working, and it's been a couple years now. And a few times I've forgotten and left it on for several hours 😅 so I'm not sure yet, but I'm guessing it's those little button batteries that can be replaced when it does eventually run out. 😊

I’m so glad to hear that! I know, it was an adventure figuring it out with no instructions! Lol

You and your little helper are doing well.
Gotta set it up this morning 🌅 three machines later this is the first time the counter is acting up. Thanks for making this video 🤗🎉🎉

lubricate the original counter. most of the times it works after that. Still a good video for the sentro 40, thank you.
Just what I was looking for! Thank you so much for the awesome detailed demonstration!❤️
Thanks for your support 🙏 🙌 👍 ❤️I appreciate your support 🙏 😅
Congratulations!! Mine came with instructions for my Addi King.
Digital feels way fancier than the original one right? can't wait to buy one for my sentro!!!😊

Vielen , vielen Dank für das fantastische Video, das sehr hilfreich ist 💐❤️ liebe Grüße aus Österreich von Evelyne ❤️
Thanks for the video. I'm just having trouble switching it off 😩
Best to use Hot Glue for these purposes, Much cleaner and cures quickly.
That was very helpful! Thank you!
Would this also work on the smaller 22 needle machine pleas.
👍 easy to follow
Nicely done. DIY'ers unite! 😅
I'm going to attempt to put it on a 22 count one
What did you think about the thread magic?
I'd love to know how the thread magic worked out too so I can decide whether to get some.
Is there any reason why you installed it on the RHS? esp if the cord will be tucked up into the old counter void? just curious.
Awesome!!!
they sent me an extra counter with my machine from temu 35.00.
Do you know whats the other 2 screw part are used for?😅
mine does not do that when you turn it off I would send it back
do you the size of the magnet ?

Does it work in panel mode because the other counter doesn't?
