Amazing photos! thanks for sharing this presentation, it's wonderful.. an hour of full immersion in a world without border... thank you so much! when and where the exhibition in Italy?
Lovely programme. But it seems such a shame that, after so much work by the photographers and the producers, it's only in 1080. I don't understand the decision to hamstring the artistry by limiting the quality like this. This work deserves 2160. I'll have to watch it on a small screen so that I'm not distracted by the low resolution.
Thank you very much for this video. The celebration of life, territory, people and obijects through this photos and the vision of its photographers...I suggest to see this video to beginner photographers, like me, because it gave me the awareness that the photography it's more about beauty and aesthetics and we have different ways to tell this to the world.
Really, amazing photos. I was in doubt about the use of changes using Photoshop .... In the photo of time 36:25, over the sun ... Basically the amount of existing suns, as we probably have a sun behind the clouds, 36:50 and another sun that illuminates from the zenith of the sky .... Somebody help me understand please.
i agree wholeheartedly with T.M. V. when he said these things are always "won" by people who are well know,or in the industry,or connected...there are so many great photographers out there who would have entered great shots for this, but are always ignored because they are unknown...and that suspicion is backed up by hamid, who only saw SONY digital cameras...coincidence? i don't think so
at 54.24 one person said the best portraits are about how the people live...you don't know what they're thinking, but the photographers' work makes you understand where they come from...i agree with that,i think it's true...contrast that with expert art historian jackie klein, who sees the shot of the birdman, and immediately knows what he is thinking...he is confident,self-assured and weary...really jackie?? jackie also believes there is something amazingly timeless about the image...what about the modern-day clothes? how many people kept penguins 150 years ago? how many foreigners lived in england then? ...sometimes,i wonder about experts in the arts(not nish kumar, because nish is a stand-up comedian),they can pontificate and get it so wrong, but because it's the arts, and everyone is entitled to their opinion, they get away with it...there are a lot of bullshitters out there

Hi T.M. V. We aim to provide photographers with development opportunities and platforms to support their work. Entry to the Awards is completely free and photographers are judged anonymously by a panel of industry-leading experts who judge the work based on its technical skill and strength of narrative.
@@WorldPhotographyOrganisation *I can assure for a fact that the judges know the name and country of the photographer before they finally decided to award someone. When I said for a fact believe me I know. So let be straight on this topic. We as a community dare you to create an anonymous competition and award those photographers for the talent behind the photo. Competitions are more and more political everyday... Art is becoming second place... Please don´t let this competition became a political stage like they did with the Oscars... Thanks!*
You are making an assumption. The photographs are judged without the photographers being known. The only exception is the lifetime award to the Mexican lady photographer, for obvious reasons. What an amazing collection!
@@tanyingsan7207 Me and assumption??? You wrong I know some of the judges, some are even family. No assumption here! Its a shame Photography is becoming a political stage like the Oscars... Truly shame...
The world of photography has power though the use of our eyes. Nothing destroys the process of engagement in the visual sense more than a torrent of blather, babble, words and words of obviousness. If you want to include what the photographer says about his or her work, fine. But please leave out the commentators. Those of us who find our way to wanting to view these images are wise enough to engage with them on our own. Insert a link if you feel you must use words. But please, don't wreck the visual presentation with all those things you feel you simply must say.
This organization looks like a private competition, because I have never seen a black competitor, and this does not make the winner think of a winner. Don't defeat us, you idiots, believe me when we Ethiopians wake up we will teach you justice, this is our word for the future whites !! ??

Beautiful images, but what strikes me that when it comes to digital cameras, I did not see any camera being used but "SONY"!!!!!!
it's amazing...

Phemonenal photos, interesting commentary, but should have seen the photos while they talked rather than so much time looking at the presenters!

why is the stand-up comedian nish kumar giving us his opinion on photography? or is this part of his comedy act?
Spanish subtitles out of sync.
