Dear Netflix, can u plz add Martin to the “best old skool” tv series category?
@She-Wolf A Different World is on Hulu or Amazon.
Martin is on BET PLUS
@She-Wolf A different world was on Netflix years ago, I don’t know why they took it off 🙄
@@Spideymrw I need Netflix, Hulu, or Amazon lol
Facts!
A living legend!!!
big fact
Gurl please
not really -, she had one show and one movie - everything else was forgettable - Martin is the legend
@@bigdaddyozone8574 My Wife and kids is rememberable
@@bothbejewel6927 - I'm sure you have the best family in the world but, we are talking about - Gina from Martin - the TV show
Maybe not a reboot, but a reunion like the fresh prince would be hella dope
Nope, can’t do a reunion without Tommy & his laugh !
I feel ya...not a reboot but reunion..I can dig it
@@ms.t8313 fresh prince did it without uncle phil
This is the first thing I thought after watching Fresh Prince Reunion... “Martin you’re next!” They shouldn’t let Tommy death stop it! If there’s something they should keep in mind is to not waste time and celebrate what they did 29 years ago... HBO MAX should start thinking about it.
@@dwadeisthegoat2020 and it wasn't the same.
The brilliance of Tisha's acting is how her character started to act more like Martin through the course of the series. It was very realistic on how couples adopt each other's character traits during the relationship.
You have to give the writers credit for the character development
@@ashleetyler429 That's true. It might have been her own idea, though.
Pam was more like Martin to me on the show.
His influence on Tisha and Tichina was profound and obvious. They straight steal from him in the later years of the show.
@Michelle Rodriquez Funny thing is that when I first saw the promo for this show (I think I was 10 years old), I didn't like Martin Lawrence or Tisha Campbell in it. I thought Martin acted too dumb and foolish, and I thought Tisha came off like a mean girlfriend. The only reason I gave this show a chance was because of the presence of Carl Anthony Payne, who I was familiar with as Theo's best friend, Cockroach, on The Cosby Show. And now, here we are, nearly 30 years later, and I am a die-hard Martin sitcom fan, a die-hard Martin Lawrence fan, and I still find Tisha Campbell very enjoyable to watch on the Martin show and her other works. She is a great talent.
Her work on My Wife and Kids was great also. It was clear that she was the most talented cast member.
Hell no.
She def shined on that with Damon
facts.. I personally feel she was way funnier on my wife & kids..
Pam is dope as well in everybody hate Chris.
@@Supastackman pam is wonderful in everybody hates Chris. I used to look forward to her antics on there. "my man has two Jobs ion need this" lol... to me, it feel like she acts like Martin to a certain extent on the comedy level she's super funny.
This is why you always have to get people who understand the culture to interview legends of our culture, it feels so genuine.
This was bigger than a sitcom , this show become legendary. My husband use to call me his Gina and he’s my Martin 28 yrs later am still his Gina lolll 😂 😆.. everyone would run home either from the gym or school so we don’t miss Martin this show was the best ever , Am proud am part of that generation .. ❤️ ❤️ 🙏🏾 Am so sorry she went through this but it’s call growth , part of life am so proud of her ❤️
Yessss part of the culture
This comment shows how ridiculous our society is! Who would model themselves after fictional characters? So glad I had a mom, dad, grandparents that instilled true family values. Flipping sad that someone would model their lives after a sit-com with profit as priority instead of true family values.
@@shnapkracklepop3049 Your comment shows how asinine and cold some people can be. The fictional characters you’re so flippantly dismissing were created and portrayed by human beings who pull from their own life experiences to show kindness, connection, family etc. What if this show is the only time someone remembers seeing that on tv? What if this or other shows inspire others to create, to love, to laugh? You really used this opportunity to rebuke a person for being inspired and essentially threw your privileged upbringing in someone else’s face. What a jerk move.

One of The Greatest Black shows of all time!!!
No debate!
Not only black sitcoms it's one of the greatest sitcoms of all time period! Martin, Andy Griffith, Sanford and Son and Married with Children hands down!
@TETCOM Martin was a bit better than The Cosby Show in my opinion which was an extremely hard task but now looking back at the ROCK sitcom these days, ROCK was the real deal as well.
@@Nimonjeua-Ndiangang Aw, man don't get me started on Roc! Such an underrated masterpiece! Great cast and writing. We also can't leave out A Different World too.
That knives story got me all choked up. God has his way of showing you signs.
Ain't that the truth!!!
the episode when Martin proposed to her felt like it was real the way he was looking at her as Brian Mcknight was singing.
Right? I defy anyone to watch that scene and tell me that there wasn't something going on between them behind the scenes.
I loved her character: Smart, educated, and classy.
@KBM515 Especially during the episode where she and Martin try to go without you-know-what. And the romantic getaway episode with the big rat.
Lol she had sassiness as well
@mistercool3859 Imo Gina was at her all time funniest in the high school reunion episode with Pretty Ricky. Tisha was on Lucille Ball levels of physical comedy genius in that one.
i'm so Happy that she Finally Found Happiness
She is very vibrant love her energy
Kevin is a great interviewer. Knew how to ask the right questions at the right time
Her crying talking about her babies brought tears to my eyes so awesome and glad she got back up so special love you tisha Campbell ♥️♥️💪🏾💪🏾
When she said Tommy was the worst I died laughing check out the episode when Martin thought somebody stole his CD player and he had the dog
That’s the episode that came to mind as well when she said that 😂😂
😂😂😂😂😂 Cole too he couldn't hold those laughs in at all on that episode
Yessssssssss he tried so hard 😂😂😂😂
Martin and Sanford and Son are 2 shows that I know what's going to happen and still laugh like I've never seen them before
Gina: it was a dark and gloomy night. Martin: damn why everything gotta be dark and gloomy 😂😂😂
Okay Tisha Campbell that was one of the most realest genuine interviews I've seen in a long time that's why God continues to bless you because you keep it real you can stay true to yourself and I hope that he continues to always bless you and your children 🙏
It was ok not all that though
Both Tisha and Tichina were always a great team!!! Loved their characters. Actresses these days are not the same.
My 9 year old is stuck on Martin now! She has watched all episodes of Moesha, Sister Sister, The Parkers and Family Matters TWICE lol! She said Mom y'all had good tv as kids lol! I'm sure she'll watch Martin more than once too lol
Yesss! Now that's how you parent! 👍

I was waiting every Thursday night for this show. I still remember the line up on that day. It was Martin, Living Single, and then New York Undercover. The best line up ever.

Ms. Trinidad was my favorite when Gina came to the school and had her fight bag.

They used to represent our women as educated , hardworking, and classy. I miss that . Our women used to want to be seen that way, now that's dead.
Now it's the ratchet roles like Tiffany Haddish.

Martin was my favorite show, the whole cast was hilarious! ❤
LOVE HER.
Martin is Iconic
I can watch, listen to, and talk about this show and the cast ALL DAY. So glad they reconciled things and are all still great friends
That was the most beautiful interview ever. I love how Tisha Campbell came back stronger than ever. I salute you girl. You Are a beautiful black woman.
Tommy was def the worst!!!!! you can hear him laugh when he's not on camera, especially when Martin do the dragon-fly Jones skits, he be cracking up..... Cole used to turn his head a lot when he cant hold his laugh. But I def feel like Duane jealousy encouraged her to ruin the show. it makes sense now
Once she got married to Dewayne is when things changed on Martin
Tichina used to be laughing off screen too! Lol. Her and Tommy had the most distinctive laughs.
@@sheritadavis9228 you can literally see the difference in the show after they married, she seemed tp be more uncomfortable with Martin and love scenes. she married him in '95 the show went downhill like by 96, they were having issues
@@dusroots right! tichina almost has a strong belly laugh like Tommy
Agreed, after Martin and Gina got married in season 4, things went downhill, ironically that’s the same year Tisha and Dwane got married in real life
She’s a warrior
Yea you can tell she bout that action in real life lol
For me it was my wife and kids I love her acting she is amazing ❤️❤️❤️
She was grrreat on that show
Ahhhh stop it she was horrible and her laugh is disgusting
Doesn't compare to Martin but I like My Wife and Kids a lot too.
I loved the show, sadly it ended at least two years too soon due to the dispute you and Martin seemed to develop at the end. That period truly saddened me because you two had started off early together in black movies, like house party. I don’t know if your ex husband was instrumental in causing you to develop this war with Martin , but I’m truly glad that you and Martin were able to bury the hatchet because you guys created something great together. We thank you for bringing those thirty minutes weekly of joy and laughter to our lives.
Shes the one who said she was harassed i doubt her husband had anything to do with it
She been acting since she was a child. Happy to see her shine.
This was so cool! You felt the realness in both of them. Down to earth folks.
I will always feel like she married the wrong Martin! Her net worth is about 500k & I think the ex husband is in the red meanwhile Martin is worth over 110 million
EXACTLY. All the work she's done over the DECADES.
Now there you go!
You can tell Martin Lawrence held a torch for her.
So sad... Her divorce left her broke! Being that she was making the most money, she had to pay him! She basically had to start over... from hosting the “Soul Train Awards” and doing small roles ..
Because she loss the settlement
No truer words have ever been spoken. After surviving the storm, there's no greater humility, peace and happiness that comes.
What a great interview! I just love and respect her even more now!! I'm such a fan!
My Favorite 3 episodes are:
1)The Biggie episode when Gina and Pam tried to out sing each other.
2) Gina using the chainsaw on Myra’s feet at Shananay salon.
3) Fighting the big rat on Vacation.
nice.
My favorite 3 eps are:
1. When Gina and Pam were trying to join the Women's club, (SOPHISTICATED LADIES) and at the end Martin and Gina took on Pam and Tommy in a "Snaps/Roast Battle"
2. "The Ex-Files" cause Angelle Brooks is so dang on sexy, i've had a crush on her sine i saw her on V.I.P. lol.
3. "Beauty and the Beast" this is a alltime fav of mine, i thought Martin and Gina's relationship was so awesome, Gina is the perfect girlfriend.
To me, Martin was at his funniest in the first few seasons of the show, his comebacks were legendary.
The Biggie Smalls episode is one of my favorites.
My favorite episodes are
1. Blow baby Blow
2. Girlfriend
3. Tommy Hearns episode
My 3 favorite episodes
1. The puppy rat on vacation.
2. The stolen.C.D player " New Jack City"
3. The Players Ball..
The WHOLE 2nd season was the funniest! It's hard to pick a favorite one. In MY opinion after they got married (on the show), it wasn't the same, ESPECIALLY the last season. The only episode in season 5 that was funny was "Snow White." Pam's boyfriend wanted to paint all the snow as black as possible😂😂 Season 4 & 5 they made Cole too dumb & they ran the "you ain't got no job" into the ground. The one with Biggie was good along with "Homeo & Julliet" , D.M.V. Blues were also funny. The writing just went down after season 3 (in MY opinion). The first 3 seasons were the best, but season 2 was the funniest
Awww the Christmas knives story ❤
Im just sitting here in shock ..how was she so broke???? Wow
This has to be one of the best interviews I’ve even seen in my life, what a legend she is ✨🖤
Martin is my favorite sitcom of all time. It was a staple in my household. My parents loved it and I was right there watching with them. I think it came on at 6:30 pm, Mon-Fri. Must see TV.
Legendary she can’t imagine how much we love them and want them back
I have so much respect for Tisha, what an amazing woman.
this was a really good interview... To many Gina is apart of our childhood..and we see and accept her as apart of our family
.we celebrate her achievements, and hurt with her struggles in life. We love Gina more now... especially seeing that no show today has come close to Martin
Man. The line up in 90's . Being 22 when this show came out. Going to the tapings. Martin show then living single. Man I get teary eyed when the theme of those shows comes on now. Memories. Lol
This is one of the best interviews I’ve seen from Kevin Frazier in a minute! Tisha Campbell is, of course, a dynamo and seems easy to chat with, but it’s the follow up with the sensitive questions that really brought it home.
Kevin, these are the kinds of questions we’d love to see on the #MAFS reunions; please!
Martin was one of my favorite T.V. comedy shows of all time, I still watch it in 2021. Because it's the only T.V. show that can really make me smile and laugh 😆😆😆 personally I think this show is the greatest of all time!!. I hope they put this show on Netflix, Hulu or vudu.

Beautiful interview, Tisha!!! Gosh! I love what she said about her lows: beautiful devastation. I am so happy to come across this.
Aww man....Tisha is so iconic you got to give her her props and respect. On Martin...from everyone on that show would keep me laughing all day. To this day the show is still running and its a blessing to just sit at home and watch the Martin show all day long. And everybody still working!!!!

Still till this day me and my husband still watches this show, it will never be just a sitcom. it was everything. i was hurt when it ended because it had so much more to give. you all played yalls part and did a great job. Glad you all still friends/family and we really miss Tommy.
Wow…so inspiring Tisha! Thank you for sharing your story.
They gotta add Martin on Netflix, 4 years ago me and my mom used to watch Martin literally all the time..I’m now 15 and we still watch it, she said she would literally write a letter to Netflix for Martin to be on it😭💞
She’s amazing and the show is still great till this day and it will continue to be great for many more years to come
What a raw and lovely interview.
I needed to hear this going through it now....yes starting over is so hard and it takes a strong woman, support and the grace of God to get back and its truly a blessing. You go girl am proud of u 👏 💛
Martin was my favourite sitcom of the 90s. Was so sad when it ended. I mean Sheneneh was everything! And Tisha, the whole cast, iconic!
Mine was with Tommy the hit Hearns and biggie smalls guess appearances and bonus
when Martin imitated Wesley Snipes character from NewJack City
Damn Gina the equivalent of Bye Felicia.😂😂My fam and I will randomly quote lines from this show regularly! 😂😂😂 yo us 80s and 90s babies had the best of black tv. The exes where she sings the potato skins and the Ms. Trinidad episodes are my favorite Gina episodes. We don’t need a reboot. The show is classic. Tommy is gone so there can’t be one. Wouldn’t be right.
Completely agreed wit everything u jus said

The love doctor episode when Pam and Tonmy got together was the best episode for Gina ever! Lol!
Love doctor, Gina played the hell out that episode
That episode was funny. Especially when Martin found out that Pam and Tommy was dating.
When she was dancing telling Martin I got something to tell u or when Tommy rip told Martin u need to back up with the insults Gina was like ta ta ta lol
Her best episode. Also the one when they double dated with ex’s she was really good.
You go Tisha!!! So inspirational.
She won't blame her ex because he's the father of her children & she's a classy lady, but we all know why Martin ended the way it did....
so what they got over it
@@brandonbless9593 They got over it but the fans (especially me) are still pissed. Due to a certain person, she allowed herself to be used and walked off the show in the middle of the season. The show never recovered from that.

She didn't have an issue with Martin Lawrence until Duane Martin came into the picture. Duane was prolly insecure about her friendship with him and convinced her to leave the show...and in the worse way too. And he turns around and leaves her broke?! REALLY?! Don't like/trust that dude.
