In case you don't know these musicians, Introduce these industry top players: Shamisen: Toyo Koyama (the male one) Since the age of 19, he has won the Excellence Award for three consecutive years in the "Japanese Folk House Association Tsugami Shamisen Competition". At the age of 22, he appeared in the Japanese Red and White Song Society (Japanese Spring Festival Gala). Performing in the UK at the age of 23. After that, he participated in many international performances and cooperated with the Japanese group idol "Arashi" many times, including Arashi's debut song [El Japones]. The third generation of Koyama Stream, one of the largest schools of Shamisen in Japan. (Fun fact: His grandfather is Chinese and his mother also lived in China. The way he relaxes himself is to make dumplings, and he often packs a lot of dumplings.) Early Komata (female): He started playing shamisen at the age of 7, and participated in competitions all over Japan at the age of 16. Basically all the competitions he participated in were the first place. The most heavyweight is the 9th Tsugami Shamisen Japan's No. 1 Women's Decisive Battle, No. 1. 2018 (19 years old) admitted to Tokyo University of the Arts, currently studying, participated in many Japanese TV shows and performed in various large orchestras throughout Japan during the period Shakuhachi: Yorada Manami In the third grade of elementary school, she started to learn from the Japanese master of Sanryu Shakuhachitake Linxuan (Japanese musical instrument level: highest level → free of permission to pass → quasi-teacher (you can open a private school by yourself) → teacher → master). She herself is in the third grade of junior high school. Obtained the title of teacher training and became the youngest teacher in Japan. (The average age of quasi-teachers in Japan is 63.5 years old). At the age of 15, he played as a judge at the "101st Shakuhachi Music National Concert". In the same year, he studied at the Japanese National Treasure Aoki Suzumu. Enrolled in Tokyo University of the Arts in 2009 (19 years old), and began performing worldwide at the age of 21. She did not win any prizes because she was awarded a teacher training at the age of 15, but the judges of many competitions did not reach the title of teacher training. The large drum played overhead is called an "odaiko" (大太鼓), literally translating to "big drum". The medium-sized drums with wooden bodies are "chudaiko" (中太鼓), which are normally just referred to as "taiko" drums in English-speaking countries and are the most common drums found outside Japan. The smallest drums with ropes are "shimedaiko" (締め太鼓), while the taller ones with ropes are a subcategory of shimedaiko called "okedo" (桶胴太鼓). I was so happy to hear taiko in the Genshin soundtrack! I've played taiko for a while but not many people know about so I'm glad that games like Genshin are able to highlight traditional instruments :)

"Duel in the Mist" really is a fitting name for this theme. Overlord of the Thunderstorm is more grandiose and slower-paced, like the sound of thunder, whereas this theme is fast-paced and intense, like a sword fight between two Samurai, a dance of death in the fog.

0:06 You stand before your opponent as the both of you stare down each other. 0:32 You both draw your swords and begin to engage in battle. 1:07 You are done sizing each other's abilities and is ready to start fighting seriously. 1:40 You've fought each other equally and is now fighting hard to get the upper edge. 2:33 The battle begin to become frustrating because neither of you is willing to give in. 3:00 Both of your strength is beginning to wane. Now it is a test of endurance. 3:27 You both landed a crippling blow onto each other. You took a moment to regroup as the battle is drawing near its end. 3:40 This is the last clash, whoever falls here will meet their fate. 4:07 Your opponent falter, allowing you to knock his sword away. With a swift strike, you cut off his head.
The musician's level of mastery is magnanimous. I can tell you that playing the koto, shamisen, and shakuhachi with this types of beat and melody is arduous. These instruments are even tuned differently and are transposing to different notes. I commend the exquisite music and the highly-skilled musicians.
The commitment is ridiculous. The fact that they used actual taiko for "Overlord of the Thunderstorm", one of the other Inazuma themes, that alone says how much detail, passion and precision they give to the compositions.
I love how genshin spend so much time and thought into making the music for the game. All the theme songs are so beautiful and fit with the nation perfectly
man, inazuma is really just the best nation for me overall: the only nation separated from the entire map most scenic locations badass OST best archon quest had the only archon that truly felt like an archon
I love MiHoYo’s dedication in perfecting their soundtracks. They went as far as hosting a literal concert and now they’re releasing an MV for a battle theme???
true, music and graphic/animation design are always so good, but in another perspective, these are the only thing that's good, which can be kind of disappointing.
For anyone who doesn't know, the taiko drummers in the back row are from a taiko performance group called Kodo. They're currently touring the US and Canada. They've got a European tour scheduled as well. If you ever get the chance to see them live, I highly recommend it. Their youtube videos are great, but pales in comparison to a live performance where you can FEEL the drums as they're played.
I almost cried after watching inazuma music behind the scences vid. It was truly a miracle to all of us. The people who teamed up with mr.chen truly are wonderful people. They know how to respect and trust each other. That’s what makes me love the genshin music even more. This has to be one of the irreplaceable treasures of the world.
One of the things that made or break a game for me is the music and so far I can say that Genshin Impact hasn't disappoint, all the music is so so good that i can listen to it for hours on end, i appreciate the level of detail put in it, to use authentic instruments from the region on which the game is based on that to me gives each region its own soul. Keep being awesome, can't wait to see Sumeru.
Praying y'all keep this same energy for all of the other areas. Would really love to feel as immersed into the world of Teyvat as I have been with Mondstadt, Liyue and Inazuma! 💖
This is why i love this game. It created such a masterpiece and yet bunch of people are angry about character who cant do enough damage per screenshoot.
Nobody questions the production value of the game, but that doesn't mean the management can take us for granted. They wouldn't be able to put out fire like this if the players don't play. Do your favourite actors just get at the top with the talent or is it because of the support of the people?

0:09: a quieter start, however with the sounds of dry drums indicating that something is to come. 0:35 the tempo increases slightly increasing the tension of the song. 1:00 here we have the addition of one more percussion, showing that things are going to heat up. 1:07 the bass drum appears, joining all the elements with its dry and smooth beats, intensifying the track even more. 1:27 the rhythm of the track will intensify more and more, which can make you afraid or maybe, completely absorb your attention in what you will do to defeat the enemy. 1:41 the strings become more present than the drums, with their high pitched and even slightly out of tune sounds that will make you feel trapped in the place and try to get out of there as fast as you can. 2:07 the pre-chorus of the song, the rhythm suddenly collapses, indicating that sooner or later things will get out of control. 2:21 the feeling of suffering and fear grows stronger, the sound steals your sense of freedom. 2:30 the synchronized beats of the drums show you that the challenge will be greater from then on. 2:34 the peak of the song with a very high-pitched flute solo intensifying it completely, it seems that the enemy is stronger than you are able to withstand, but you continue in search of freedom. 3:00 the withdrawal of the flute and the acceleration of the drums shows you that the first challenge has been won, but the end is still far away and you will have to endure. 3:14 again the ropes steal the show and prepare you for the final challenge. 3:21 all the excitement returns to sound with the resource of synchronized beats giving you the feeling of running away from there now, but his ambition for victory and the spoils keeps him going. 3:27 the string-only solo showing that the future from that moment on is uncertain, anything can happen in the blink of an eye. 3:40 the flute returns again, this time until the end showing the apex of everything you've faced before, emotion transcends reason which will cause you chills and fear of death, you don't know if you can beat it, but you advance fiercely every closer to victory. 4:07 a dry cut indicating that you had a narrow escape, there is no reason to celebrate the victory but that you managed to escape this one and you should be more careful next time. Definitely one of the best soundtracks in gaming history.
this specific track SLAPS in-game. it feels like the stakes are higher and much more intense than the other battle songs. its fast-paced, ominous and motivating.
I feel like it would get even more intense as new regions are unlocked. For mondstadt and liyue, the songs are pretty lighthearted, mondstadt's sounds almost comical tbh. In case you don't know these musicians,
Introduce these industry top players:
Shamisen: Toyo Koyama (the male one)
Since the age of 19, he has won the Excellence Award for three consecutive years in the "Japanese Folk House Association Tsugami Shamisen Competition". The way he relaxes himself is to make dumplings, and he often packs a lot of dumplings.)
Early Komata (female):
He started playing shamisen at the age of 7, and participated in competitions all over Japan at the age of 16. Basically all the competitions he participated in were the first place. The most heavyweight is the 9th Tsugami Shamisen Japan's No. 1 Women's Decisive Battle, No. 1. 2018 (19 years old) admitted to Tokyo University of the Arts, currently studying, participated in many Japanese TV shows and performed in various large orchestras throughout Japan during the period
Shakuhachi: Yorada Manami
In the third grade of elementary school, she started to learn from the Japanese master of Sanryu Shakuhachitake Linxuan (Japanese musical instrument level: highest level → free of permission to pass → quasi-teacher (you can open a private school by yourself) → teacher → master). When she wanted to participate in the competition, the official only allowed her to participate as a judge.

It’s called a Shakuhachi :)

Definitely one of the best soundtracks in gaming history.
this specific track SLAPS in-game. it feels like the stakes are higher and much more intense than the other battle songs. its fast-paced, ominous and motivating.

it keeps me on edge, i love it, it’s super thrilling
ikr!!
I feel like it would get even more intense as new regions are unlocked. For mondstadt and liyue, the songs are pretty lighthearted, mondstadt's sounds almost comical tbh. But when we know more about the story, more secrets are unlocked, and there's even harder bosses to beat, thw songs would hit harder and would be more of a bop
@@teetotee yes, the world tone also grows along the adventure and the region's story. Like in mondstad the light cheerful tracks change in stormterror lair, constantly in that somber reminiscence , never change into mond battle theme.
THIS WILL BE MY MOST FAV BATTLE OST I'VE EVER HEARD IN GENSHIN IMPACT. I'm always getting hype whenever i hear this in Tatarasuna Island. The beat drop and the flute played is so hype!
Tatarasuna
The raiden shougan battle ost was lit too my man
@@jit3ndra69 i agree sadly we can't battle with ei chan again :(

@@jit3ndra69 shougan? hmm

I don't know why but the flute gives me the chills but also excitement.
