True neuvilette was a hydro dragon a sea creature, thats why he felt bad and sad at the same time on hiw people treats melusines, they didn't deserve it, melusines are cute and nice, also i really see neuvilette in them thats also the reason why i like neuvilette, he is fair to everyone also a kind one.
Neuvilitte is probably the first "Melusine" Ever as he appeared after the Hydro Dragon died. Just like erynnas that's why Neuvilette likes them
@@daneddieloayon2701 Neuvillette is just a reincarnation of the hydro dragon (so he technically is the hydro dragon). The melusines were made out of Elynas, but that doesn’t make them a reincarnation of him. They’re more like his children.

not really rare, every story quest has been peak since Fontaine and focuses on the actual character, except for maybe furina quest which was somewhat boring and more focused about the drama troupe

The lore on why she looks human, despite how dark it is, we know it's an excuse to make her look like the standard cute human like all other playable characters.

I wouldn't say it's because they don't want to, even though there might be some truth to it, I think the reason lies more in difficulty of adding a new model to the game, because making stuff like that isn't as easy as some might think - it's implementing brand-new animations, making things work, and while it is possible of course, it is still time-consuming. But besides that, sure, they could do that and could make it work, but is it going to benefit them in the long-run, if they would use this special, exclusive "melusine body type" model or something like that only once, or twice, if they would decide on making a new Melusine playable? Even if Sigewinne is a cutie and I like her a lot, like most of Fontaine character, with all due respect, I don't think she's AS important, that they would need to implement a brand-new model exclusively for her

Why would the potion only change her face and how can the teacher know that's the result? Did Siegwinne ask for this, did she know what the potion does before drinking?
Why can't the teacher just treat the child in her stead? I assume the teacher taught her medicine? If not, the teacher could've also tried going with her and vouching for her. There are many things that can be tried before going with such an extreme method that's irreversible for both of them.
Maybe the story fleshes it out more, but right now I can't help but feel it's a lazy excuse for making her look human, and having it be such a sad story cheapens sad stories.

Essentially its a french legend of a woman who was cursed to be half snake monster/sea creature every Sunday so she hid from her lover on the day it was supposed to happen then one day her lover saw her and she went full snake monster mode instead of being half human

There were only 3 ways this could have been explained:
She was a half Melusine, meaning her father married a melusine
Hoyo didn't want to bother making a new model and just used the default loli model
Magic potion, pure and simple.

What? Her father can't marry the Melusines, because he was the one who birthed the Melusines.
Besides, if you've done Sigewinne's SQ, everything makes a perfect sense. The relation between Primordial Sea Water, the Sinthe and the Fontainian dissolved water after the great flood is finally explained.

At least they could have made her a proper reformed criminal, but “went to prison for saving a dying child” is a tooth-rotting level of sickly sweet. I loved Sigewinne before they ruined her like this.

When I first saw Sigewinne, my immediate reaction was to say out loud “that is not a melusine,” and I thought Hoyo wasn’t gonna explain why she looked mostly human.
To put it way too lightly, I just ate those words.

I am kinda sobbing, a melusine's one and only friend got ill, terribly ill. Then, Sigewinne wanted to help real bad, then her med teacher sacrified herself to let Sigewinne help and Sigewinne drink it and finally got to help. Then she found out her med teacher's lie... I am sobbing in the corner of my room now(ुŏ̥̥‿ŏ̥̥)
My pain is immeasurable and my week is ruined
Finally hoyo stopped making story quest about solving something and catching someone like detective
neuvillettes story quest made me really sad, his sadness over the events of the past tugging at his emotions and then seeing how those events have and an effect on the present made me want to cry.
siegewinne's teacher sacraficing herself so that sige can save her human friend made we feel all kinda of hurt, the mistrust of the humans towards melusines and how she was determined to help her friend no matter if she broke the law was so wholesome and yet heartbreaking at the same time, when you realise that her teacher sacrificed herself so sige could save her frned but she didnt realise that really till centuries later is a differnt kinda heartache.
Or maybe Hoyoverse writing to prevent people from assuming that someone did the oof. If that's the case this would actually be really funny.

We all have wondered why she was half human but i was wondering why I got a weird look for saying I would make sure she wasn’t the only one
My old theory was that, since battle within Elynas with Jacob and the Narzzizencrauz is what ended up triggering the Melusines into creation, I thought that maybe some people died in that battle and their corpses mixed with Elynas, and so when Sigewinne was born from all that, her human features existed because she was born from a part of Elynas where a human corpse mixed with the flesh…turns out my theory was wrong but hey I’m glad to see the actual lore is similarly dark lol. It’s also interesting that despite Elynas being a creature connected to the Abyss-aka another creature non native to Tevat-and the Melusine being a result of Elynas + human interference, Neuvillette still treats them as his children solely based on being able to emotionally connect to their experience. I know in one of his About Stories it talks about how “some might say he might consider them new forms of vishaps” but I think he’s smart enough to know they aren’t true dragons due to them being able to see the Abyss as a familiar paradise and such. I just think it’s cute that he loves these creatures so much and has so much empathy for them despite them being a combination of BOTH species that are non native to Tevat and kinda have reeked havoc on it lol❤️

Do Melusine even reproduce? As they are descendants of a dragon and appear as anthro sea-slugs, one can assume they can (presumably like the latter)... But perhaps they can reproduce more similarly to Oceanids (magical mitosis/meiosis)...

Okay I’m a little bit into this quest….I swear, if they’ll just forgot about how she said “I like to play dumb, I like feeling do being trusted, I like the feeling of when people trust be so blindly what they go into my plans, and understand what they were played by me only when it’s too late! I like to manipulate people” and “I don’t understand empathy much” I will be SOOO mad. LIKE SHE WAS SHOWN AS SUCH AN INTERESTING CHARACTER! If they make her another one “cutie patootie kawaii” I’m gonna cry so hard.
I hope we get a Melusine in the future that is fully melusine in appearance cuz they're absolutely adorable and I'm ngl when I did the one story quest and found out the discrimination they had been given I was ready to throw hands 😂😂

Bennett is like right there. then non-sad backstories: Lisa, Alhaitham, Amber, Nilou, Chiori, Diona, Kokomi and Gorou were involved in Chapter 2 and all but I wouldn't call that "sad backstory" territory, Xiangling, Xingqiu, I'd say Xinyan's backstory isn't especially sad, Keqing, Klee, Yoimiya, and Yun Jin.
I did her quest yesterday and cried. It's sad and very dark. 😢
And the potion not only turned her human but had a twist, it would make her human but would make her friend forget about her..
Imagine making a whole story about why she has a human appearance so people would pull for her and people still wouldn't pull her
