00:45 - Bet is more confused
5:00 - Very relevant. Argus (The planet / Titan soul in that planet) is the Titan of Death, as a result Sargeras (Guy running the burning legion) can speed up his regeneration of his demons as they die (demons dont die die when they die, they go to the twisting nether to be reborn, Sargeras used Argus to speed up their rebirth. The Eredar that arent corrupted and follow Velen become the Draenei and end up on Azeroth, which kinda leads the Burning Legion straight back to Azeroth)
6:18 - Zappyboi (Zakhan) is a Darkspear Troll, which is a type of Jungle Troll. They worship the Loa of Death called Bwomsamdi.
7:00 - Tyrande Whisperwind is the High Priestest of Elune, the Night Elf goddess. She eventually marries Malfurion Stormrage, which pisses off his twin, Illidan.
7:38 - Yup, deathwing caused the Cataclysm event / expansion. You do know things!
    8:00 - Azshara.
9:30 'I dont understand him or why he exists' - That is Sargeras, he was the strongest of the Titan Pantheon and it was his job to kill / jail anyone who opposed the Titans. He jailed a bunch of demons called Dreadlords (Nathreziem) and they spoke to him over millenia telling him all about Old Gods and Void Lords. They explained that the Void Lords (who made the old gods) can only enter physical space through corrupting life, so, Sargeras driven mad by all this and worried about void gods fucking everything up decided it was best if he himself fucked it all up and snuffed out as much life as he could. This was how the burning legion was formed.
12:15 - 'We will never be slaves! But we will be conquorers!" was said by Alternate Timeline Grommash Hellscream, at this point in the video you are seeing the first instance of them invading Azeroth. In the original timeline Grom Hellscream, leader of the Warsong Clan was the first orc to drink the Blood of Mannaroth (green stuff altternate timelime grom rejected because his son told him it would make him a slave) drinking the blood bound him and others to the Legion.
13:15 - "That doesn't seem fair!" - as I said in the preview, it isn't. What he failed to mention is that Garona is named Garona Halforcen (Half Orcen, half orc) She was artificially aged and taught by Warlocks, as a result of this and her lineage, she can be controlled by a powerful enough warlock or group of warlocks at this time in the story.
14:03 - It's directly reelated, but its a long line to see the relationship / connection. With the Horde pushing so far north, then Gul'dan betraying them it leads to Illidan getting the skull of Gul'Dan and the Horde being captured / staying in Blackrock mountain, which leads to Thrall and his Horde (in warcraft 3) which leads to the stuff you know.
15:39 - She is Sylvanas' (Eyebrows) sister.
16:21 The Helm of Domination and Frostmourne, Eyebrows broke the helm in half using the power she is borrowing from The Jailer.
16:50 Thrall is the son of Durotan and Drakka. The Forsaken Rogues were sent to Outland (Formerly Draenor untill Ner'Zhul, the Lich King inside the Helmet) opened up all those portals.
The guy who went to get thrall was Varok Saurfang, whos son Dranosh Saurfang was raised as a DK and the players had to kill him.
17:33 That is Arthas Menethil, he becomes the Lich King you saw in the Cinematic, not the eyebrows helmet one, the other one. The woman, Jaina Proudmore, is the Daughter of the Sea.
18:55 Archimonde manifests a likeness of Dalaran in sand (the sand castle) then, much like a voodoo doll, whatever he does to the sand representation happens to the real one, so he destroys Dalaran without having to step food into the city.
    19:23 - Yup, right.
20:45 - ok. So. When the Trolls naturally evolved on Kalimdor without the need of a titanic race of machines corrupted by the curse of flesh from Yogg,Saron the old god, they eventually evolved / devolved into night elves. This is where Azshara come sin, her and the other magic users / mana addicted elves called themselve high elves and after azsha got fucked over by the legion / N'zoth and became naga the night elves were all 'right, no more magic, we kinda fucked everything up because of it' and some of the magic users (called high elves / highbourne) fucked off to the east and eventually evolved / devolved into what looks like a blood elf, except they still called themselves high elves. So, then, after Arthas came north and killed like 90% of the elves with his undead army, most of those elves decided to call themselves blood elves to honour the fallen that fought against arthas, but some were all 'nah, fuck you guys, we're gonna go live in dalaran' and those guys that left for Dalaran / the Alliance still call themselves High Elves.
21:37 - The undead in the Warcraft lore can indeed feel, but its kinda muted, like a kind of depression, they are aware of it, but as feelings are also accompanied with chemicals, they're reactions aren't so strong as they would be in the living version of whatever race they are. Sylvanas' motivation was to kill Arthas / Lich King because of what he did to her when he raised her. He raised her as a banshee, turned her on her own people and forced her to murder friends, family and children (in that fight where afterwards they became blood elves). As arthas fucked off up north to help The Lich King / Ner'zhul his grip and power over his undead army was weakened by the distance, as a result Sylvanas broke free, found her body then taught others to do the same. Then she swore to kill arthas.
22:07 -The Forsaken were never fully trusted in the horde, and the forsaken took years to kinda trust the horde. The forsaken joined to have muscle, and the horde let them to have a foothold in the eastern kindgoms. This way if the alliance were gonna attack, they'd attack there first and they could defend there away from their capital city and/or fortify if they knew the alliance were coming.
22:39 - World of Warcraft was the fourth Warcraft game. There was an RTS series before that. (RTS is real time strategy). So the story until this point was the history before the games that was added in later and the games 1 2 and 3. WoW is an MMO, which is entirely different to the RTS.
23:57 - The reason is as follows: when an old god dies in the physical realm, they return to Ny'alotha to be reborn, much like demons in the twisting nether. When players 'kill' them, they are just beating back their manifestation, not actually killing them. However, when a titan (Amun'Thul) tried to kill an old god (Y'sharrjj) he ripped it out the planet and nearly killed Azeroth (titan soul within azeroth the planet)
26:19 - Alexstraza is the Red Dragonflights leader, she is the Aspect of Life.
27:44 - Neltharion the Earth Warder was the leader of the Black Dragonflight, you know him as Deathwing, the guy that fucked up the planet. As the Earth Warder his apsect was literally the earth, so 'talking to rocks' is a joke about Deathwing / Thrall being able to commune with the earth, as Thrall as a shaman.
28:24 - Nozdormu is the leader of the Bronze Dragonflight, and they are the Aspect of Time, they are charged with keeping the timeline pure and stopping time travel and time fuckery from happening.
30:00 - This trailer is for the expansion for Warlords of Draenor, which is, as the video said a new timeline that did not over-write the original timeline
31:45 - Ok, so remember earlier I said that zappyboi was a Darkspear troll? Well, so is Vol'jin. Vol'jin is the leader of the Darkspear, and at the time of his death also the leader of the horde. So, also remember I mentioned the Darkspear worship the loa of death Bwomsamdi? Well, Bwomsamdis' boss is Mueh'Zala, the actual loa of death that only the Trolls in Zul'Farak worship. Mueh'Zala clouded Vol'jins' perceptions and muddled his abilities on the Boken Shore so a random demon could kill him. When Vol'Jin was on the throne and dying, he heard a whisper from a Loa, he wasn't sure which loa (It was Mueh'Zala) and that loa whispered to him 'Windrunner', prompting Vol'Jin to name Sylvanas (Eyebrows) Warchief. Mueh'Zala works for The Jailer (The guy that gave eyebrows the power to break the helmet) and the jailer gives sylvanas power, but only if she can send him souls, to the maw, which is basically hell. The Jailer has been influencing Sylvanas since Arthas died and she tried to kill herself, even giving her Val'kyr (Angels) to keep her in the land of the living.

In all honesty Hannah the lore of WOW can be daunting even for long term players such as myself. Reading the books will help you get introduced to the lore but nothing will help you more than logging on, rolling a character and going through that races starting zone. You will learn lore as well as the basic mechanics of the game. It will also introduce you to the players who will help you learn and understand the lore of the game. I highly recommend choosing a high population RP server such as Wrymrest Accord or Moonguard (just stay away from Goldshire). RP servers tend to pay attention to the lore of the game as it affects how players RP their characters. Plus it's a fun way to interact with the players and learn the game.

Jesus Christ, lady, I'm impressed you're even trying.
To answer your question about Eyebrows - She definitely has emotions, though she's traumatized to hell thanks to dying and being made to serve as a slave in her undeath. Once she got her freedom back, she was hellbent on revenge on her captor, the Lich King - blue helmet guy. Once she got her revenge, she committed suicide because she felt nothing but emptiness. While dead she basically saw hell and made a deal to be resurrected and from that moment on all her actions are motivated by fear and self-preservation. She doesn't want to end up in hell.
She rarely shows positive emotion - I think she did once recently, expressing regret over her ruined relationship with her two sisters. That's all I'm aware of.

The best way to remember the Dragon Aspects is that each one is connected to a specific thing and is a different colour.
Alextrasza the Red is the Aspect of Life and the defacto Queen of Dragons, she and her Red Dragonflight are responsible for safeguarding Azeroth's people.
Malygos the Blue was the Aspect of Magic, responsible for the Arcane energies that flow throughout Azeroth through ley-lines, and oversaw its use until he went a bit crazy and WoW players killed him. As of now, Kalecgos is in charge of the Blue Dragons that didn't go all magic supremacists, and has been working with the mortal races and WoW players a lot more, often in Human form.
Ysera the Green was the Aspect of Dreams, and oversaw the Emerald Dream, an extrademensional plane where Druids got their powers from. She was also heavily tied to the natural world, until she was corrupted by the Emerald Nightmare by a servant of the Legion and WoW players killed her.
Nozdormu the Bronze is the Aspect of Time, able to see into the future and the past, and ensures things happen as they should. He has forseen his own death and the corruption of his entire Bronze Dragonflight into the Infinite Dragonflight, and WoW players eventually killed his future self, meaning that no matter what happens, he will eventually turn, cause the timeline demands it.
Deathwing/Neltharion the Black was the aspect of Earth (thats why they were talking about rocks earlier), his dragonflight was charged with guarding the deep places of Azeroth. However, since the Old Gods and their maddening influence permeate the earth they are tied so closely to, they were easily swayed by the Old Gods' maddening whispers, and as such, Neltharion eventually became Deathwing. These days one by the name of Wrathion is the Aspect of the remaining Black Dragonflight, working hard to resist the Old God's corruption, that still permeates to this day.
Some other dragonflights have come about through multiple less than natural means, but those 5 are the major players

This is important! I hope she reads it, since it'll clarify some points for her.
Another small tidbit, the "cave" Deathwing was imprisoned in and broke out of is Deepholm. After the Titans beat the Elemental Lords when fighting the Old Gods WAY BACK at the start of the video, the titan keeper (high ranking being created by an actual Titan) Ra'den crafted four pocket dimensions called the Elemental Planes to house the elementals, since they're tied to the planet and cannot be truly destroyed. Deepholm is the Elemental Plane of Earth. In the Cataclysm expansion we actually go to all the Elemental Planes to fight bad elementals and help good ones. IMO they're some of the coolest looking places in the game.

Also the one to create the emerald dream is the titan keeper Freya who was bestowed with power over life and bloom by Titan Eonar, She was tasked ,along with 3 other keepers (Hodir, Thorim and Mimiron), with keeping Yogg Saron locked up in Ulduar. Then somebody built a world tree in northrend (the north continent) and roots of that tree grew into Yogg Saron's prison, and he used them to enter and corrupt the Emerald Dream creating the Emerald Nightmare.
Also there are many more Titan keepers, but when the Titans gave powers to dragon aspects, the main keeper (Odyn) got mad and raised a part of Ulduar into the sky and now it's the Halls of Valor where brave warriors go. Odyn figured a way how to make their souls bound to there so they could protect Azeroth even through death.
Also the main reason Yogg Saron corrupted the titan keepers is because Thorim's (one of the keepers) brother Loken betrayed them and helped Yogg Saron. Then Champions (players) go into Ulduar, battle through it's defences (since the defences were set so noone can enter/leave), they defeat the keepers which frees them from Yogg's corruption, and then they fight Yogg Saron and keepers help them (it is probably one of the best raid fights ever).
And players push yogg saron back into his prison.
There is also a being called Algalon that is of Constellar race (he's basically a big constellation). That is a mysterious race that Aman'thul (leader of the Titans) calls upon to watch planets, and Algalon is the watcher of Azeroth.
If Algalon finds that the keepers are dead and/or the planet is too corrupted he starts Origination protocol which basically destroys all life and corruption on the planet without killing the planet itself allowing life to reevolve on the planet and start from scratch. Once yogg dies players find out about algalon, but the keeper Loken destroyed the communication device fearing that Algalon would purge the planet, but we fix it and Algalon comes and says that in all his calculations in every single case he wins, but we manage to win and he acknowledges that he may have been mistaken so he gives the players the code that the ship in the universe needs to recieve in order to stop the Purge of the whole planet, so players go to Dalaran and Khadgar uses magic to transmit that code into space stopping the Origination process and saving all life on the planet

I would recommend you, at least, watch the short stories, like Burdens of Shaohao, Harbingers, Warbringers etc. And yes, overall when you look at everything and try to piece it together to make sense, it doesn't look too good, especially the early days of Warcraft up until now, it's basically a whole other universe. But the in-between stories are what's good about Warcraft's story.

Someone else mentioned it but just to elaborate, World of Warcraft is the MMORPG game where you control an adventurer. It starts 4 years after Archimonde was blown up at the World tree. Warcraft 1,2,3 were Real Time Strategy games where you control entire armies. Wacraft 1 told the story of the First War and the initial fighting between the Horde and the humans of Stormwind. Wacraft 2 was about the Horde pushing north and fighting the newly formed coalition of human kingdoms (with some support from the high elves and dwarves) known as the Alliance of Lordaeron. Warcraft 2 Beyond the Dark Portal was about Ner'zhul's quest to obtain magical artifacts from Azeroth to fuel his multiple portals on Draenor and the subsequent Alliance expedition to stop him. Warcraft 3 was about Arthas, the Legion invasion and stopping them. Warcraft 3 The Frozen Throne was about Arthas leaving Lordaeron, going to Northrend and fusing with the Lich King, Sylvanas leading a rebellion and reclaiming the Plaguelands for her sentient undead, the Forsaken, and the Blood Elves (whose home had been previously destroyed by Arthas) suffering injustice at the hands of a racist Alliance leader, then joining forces with Illidan.
"That girl" which reminds you of Eyebrows is actually Eyebrows's sister. She marries the human paladin Turalyon. Their other sister marries the human mage Rhonin who is a major character in the book you're reading. What can I say, the Windrunner sisters love them some hot piece of human ass.
As to being dead and not having feelings, yeah, that's kind of accurate. It's not explained very well but basically the undead feel very little emotion. You get no pleasure from anything a living person would. Food, drink, more... carnal pleasures, none of them make you feel anything and in general all your feelings are numbed and muted. Also, physically you don't heal so say you sustained a wound to your leg, you'd be able to move without feeling pain unlike a living person but you will also never be able to regain strength in that leg.
For a long time, it was Sylvanas's mission to find a way to secure a future for the Forsaken (the non-mindless undead) because initially the Forsaken were comprised of Scourge members who broke free after the Lich King was weakened by Illidan's attack on the Frozen Throne. There was no way to raise new undead. Then Sylvanas found a way, involving the Valkyr.
As to the dragon aspects: They were dragons empowered by Titan powers to safeguard an aspect of Azeroth. There were 5: Magic, Nature, Time, Life, and Earth. Having these powers also empowered all other dragons of those types with some of those powers to a lesser extent. For example, bronze dragons have some power over the flow of time but nowhere near the level of Nozdormu, the aspect. Naltharion the Earth Warder was the Earth aspect. Guess what's embedded deep in the earth. The prisons of the Old Gods. Over the course of thousands of years they whispered to him and drove him insane until he snapped and became Deathwing.
The Warlords of Draenor trailer is indeed in the other timeline. That's why why Garrosh takes off the hood and reveals himself, saying "Times change", it's such an ULTRA badass moment. Also, in the original timeline Grommash is the first to drink the blood and get corrupted and many years later he fights and kills Mannoroth. Mannoroth explodes in a ball of fire that also kills Grommash, in an iconic shot where you see Grom's silhouette engulfed in the fire. The trailer does fan service in the best possible way by giving us that same shot but this time you have Garrosh, his son, there to save him.

@@HannaHsOverInvested Sylvanas (Eyebrows) is a very polarizing character. Originally she was definitely meant to be more of an Anti-Hero who would do anything to secure a future for her people (the Forsaken). There are those who love her cold, calculating characterization while there are those who hate her for what she's done after becoming undead. Both are kind of right.
Recently, the writers have begun to make her a lot more villainous which has been a big point of contention. Fans of her are reasonably upset that took their beloved character in a direction they didn't want while those who hate her are upset that she takes up so much screen time and presence in the story.
When people talk about redemption for her, it's mostly those who were fans of her character before and cling to the hope that the writers will salvage her character to preserve what she was before the writers began to change things about her. But realistically, there's no way to redeem someone who's commited genocide, which is why many people contest the idea.

27:45 "Talking to rocks?" Yes! This kind of gets glossed over in the video, but there are other kinds of magic besides just arcane "wizardy" magic. There's fel magic, that the demons use, and death magic that makes undead and things. The Light, used by paladins and priests and which requires great willpower and faith (IE when King Anduin healed all his soldiers in the Battle for Azeroth cinematic.) Etc.
One form of magic is elemental magic, the magic of the five elements: Earth, Wind, Fire, Water, and Spirit (and sometimes Decay, but that's kind of delving into death magic.) Thrall is one of these people, called Shaman, who can commune with the natural world and the elemental spirits and harness their power. Deathwing, before he became evil, was called Neltharion the Earthwarder, and he was the Aspect of the Earth, and so he was vaguely a shaman of sorts in his own way. (His connection to the earth, tragically, is probably what made him a good target for the old gods' corruption, as they are buried deep beneath the earth and sea.) And so Thrall, as the most powerful Shaman in the world at the time, was seen as the best possible "stand-in" for Neltharion to use the Dragon Soul. (Zappy Boi, in the Battle for Azeroth cinematic, is also a Shaman. That's how he can shoot lightning, rip open the earth, make lava, etc. If you've ever seen Avatar the Last Airbender, Shaman in Warcraft are all kinda like little Avatars.)
Though, in recent times, Thrall seems to have lost his shamanic ability. He is plagued by doubt and guilt after putting Garrosh in power, and then having to kill him. Whether or not Thrall will regain his connection to the spirits of the natural world remains to be seen, but since he has come back (the cinematic you saw at Thrall's house with Saurfang and the undead ninja ladies), he has only really fought as a normal warrior.

Oh there's actually a small lore point that the video misses out on, which is the fact that the Titans did kill /one/ Old God by ripping it out of the planet (they kind of embed themselves deep into the crust) which created the Well of Eternity in the first place (aka a big magical wound in spacetime), so they decided trying to do the same to the others wasn't really worth it and would just cause irreparable harm. The players were able to kill the old gods because we were small enough to go in and stab them in their respective brains.
Also this video was adorable, haha.

    • @jozokrstanovic9040
      @jozokrstanovic9040 3 года назад

That's right/wrong, IDK with lore retconns but originaly, there were 4 Old gods: N'zoth, C'thun, Yogg'saron and Y'shaarj.
When titan armies started fighting them, they feared that Y'Shaarj who was the strongest would win so Aman'thul(leader of the titans) ripped him from Azeroths surface creating a big wound. Then they saw that Old gods dying would deal massive damage to the planet, so they locked them up. They had no trouble locking up Nzoth and cthun but Yogg saron almost won the fight on its own, but they managed to seal him in Ulduar. Then every time players fight old gods (Except Nzoth) players just push them back into their prison, so what we fight ingame in Ahnqiraj and Ulduar are just small portions of both Yogg and Cthun that we push back into their prisons. We never kill them, cause they have many brains and many heads and stuff, so you can't really kill their main brain.
Nzoth is different cause he was completely free when we fought him in Nyalotha.
Now they may have retconned the lore so that the players do kill them, but this was the original one

When it comes to books i think the war of the ancients trillogie is a bad place to start.
I would advice the Book "Rise of the Horde", its good for people new to the Lore because is doesn't rely on well known characters from the games (unlike War of the Ancients).

@@HannaHsOverInvested I was always confused why the war of the ancients trillogie was on the first 3 spots. Yes the story takes place mostly during the war of the ancients, which is about 10.000 Years before Rise of the Horde, but Krasus, Rhonin and Brox are all from a much later point in time (Krasus and Rhonin from war of the ancients actually got introduced in the book on place 8, Day of the Dragon and knowing that book already gives so much more context to big parts of war of the ancients). And in my opinion the story makes much more sense once you are more familiar with the world and know more about the Demons and the Nightelves and of course Tyrande, Malfurion and Illidan, (our three nightelf protagonists who play a vital point a lot later in the wow storyline since elves don't age, they were also introduced in the game warcraft 3, long before the books came out)
Rise of the Horde is set about 35 to 40 Years before the current events in WoW, it focuses on the Orcs and why they became what they became. It also has to establish almost all its characters from scratch, because prior to the book most of them were only known as namedrops.

13:50 correct, none of the cinematics you've watched deal with the first war. The last few minutes have been about the part of the lore that the movie is about.
23:00 Yes that was the start of the game called World of Warcraft. Everything before that was from Books and The earlier games Warcraft 1-3.
27:00 Deathwing was originally the Aspect of Earth so has dominion of rocks. Thrall is a Shaman so he's good at talking to Earth Elementals which are basically big animated rocks.

I recognize most names so that helped, glad you even tried lol. Would go too fast for me if I didn’t have the knowledge I have.
But we are basically waiting for the next expansion Shadowlands which talks about Sylvanas going mad, the afterlives world (watch the new cinematic, 4 “worlds” so of course 4 cinematics called Afterlives: ... ) and the (important) characters who died. So you got all the history until up to this moment.

There's so many characters in that trilogy, and you might think that "okay... but they won't live long enough" ('cuz... yeah it's 10.000 years before WoW) so you don't have to know them.... I haven't seen anyone talk about this yet so I will- The Dragon Aspects- Alexstraza (red), Ysera(green), Nozdormu(yellow/bronze), Malygos(blue), Deathwing(black). So long before there were people on Azeroth (we're talking like 20,000 years) there were a form of dragon that were one step down the evolutionary chain called proto-drakes and they all inhabited the planet peacefully except one- Galakrond got much larger than the others and started eating everyone. 5 small proto-drakes came up with a plan to kill him and were successful- the titans acknowledged this and deemed them the protectors of Azeroth and gave them each an aspect of Azeroth to protect (hence the name- The Dragon Aspects.) Alexstraza is called the Lifebinder and is in charge of life, Ysera is in charge of nature and is strongly connected to the druids, Nozdormu is in charge of time, Malygos is in charge of magic, and Deathwing is in charge of Earth.

Agreed, those are not the best written books. Also keep in mind that the books are written as game tie-ins, expecting you to have experienced all the in game story related to the story being written. In-game the stories are very simple and straightforward, it's the 'trans-media' content as they call it that fleshes everything out and ties in frankly disconnected game lore. They even had to issue a large illustrated 3 volume World of Warcraft Chronicles books to organize and explain the MASSIVE amounts of crazy lore.

Usually, when someone is raised from the dead, there is a cost to pay. With Necromancy, it dampens your positive emotions, while steering your negative one, mostly hate, anger, sorrow, and envy for the living. Even freed from the influence of the Lich King, these emotions won't really change, all you can do is like Eyebrow or the Death Knight of the Ebon Blade : Channel it to whatever goal you try to reach ( like protecting your loved ones, or genociding Azeroth for... When he says it's the start of World of Warcraft (WoW) at 22:30 he means it's the start of the MMORPG (Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game) in 2004.
The first game was an RTS (Real Time Strategy game) called Warcraft: Orcs & Humans and it was released in 1994. It contains the story when the Orcs came trough the Dark Portal and fought against Stormwind. In the video at 12:30 The First War.
The second game was also an RTS and was released in 1995 called Warcraft II: Tides of Darkness. It contains the story from 13:10 in the video called the Second War
The third game also an RTS called Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos released in 2002. It story starts in your video at 17:05. It s different than the first two. In the first two game you can choose who you want to play with. Humans or Orcs, Alliance or Horde. So the ending of the games was different depends who you chosen. They had trouble with these because then non of the endings was canon. In the third game you play a linear story where you play all the factions when the story shift to them. Humans -> Undead -> Horde -> Night Elf.
When in 2004 WoW was released lots of fans were pissed because they wanted Warcraft 4 an RTS game not an MMORPG. Some of them still don't touched the franchise since i think. But the new game get more fans and more money of course it was a huge success so they released new expansion packs every 2 years.
Lots of the backstory you see here before 12:30 revealed in WoW as you play it. Quests, time travel, archeologist sites, books or meeting old Characters or their avatars
Fun Fact: There was also a Warcraft game called Warcraft Adventures: Lord of the Clans but Blizzard cancelled it in 1998 because it's quality wasn't good enough for them. It was supposed to be a Point and Click adventure game. Later in 2010 someone from Russia released a gameplay video about it but it was buggy and missing lots of contents. More and more content released about it (like cutscenes) and russian programmers finished the whole game in 2016. You can see the complete gameplay and story on youtube (even download it but i don't know how legal is that). This is not the official story tough. The game story was rewritten and released as a novel in 2001 which got the backstory for Warcraft III

The stories and events in the first major portion of the video are covered in video games and media but there is a distinction. Warcraft began as an RTS type game, and those are where the first chunks of lore are laid out. First War, Second War, and Third War are analogous to Warcraft 1, 2, and 3 when they are brought up. World of Warcraft is the MMO game which shifted the genre of the IP to a new space which it still inhabits today and the lore has since been ongoing.

21:35 "When you're dead, do you not have feelings?"
When someone comes back from Death in the Warcraft universe, they come back with very few, and if not, only one true emotion - either postive or negative. One character, Darion Mograine, came back with true sorrow.
While Sylvanas (Eyebrows) seems to have returned with true rage.
It explains why she is so careless and hellbent on sowing destruction. She was even in love with a human ranger named Nathanos before dying, and ever since she was reunited with him in death, she's never been able to truly love him as she did before. And true love does exist among the undead.
There are a few Forsaken who have retained that emotion and have formed bonds in undeath. A few sought to reunite with their loved, living ones before Battle For Azeroth, but were killed on Sylvanas' orders.

Sylvanas (eye brows) hates all living, because she discovered that after she truly broke free of the Lich Kings control, nothing awaited her after truedeath except misery. It tore her apart mentally, first she tried to find purpose in saving the forsaken, but her descent into madness just continues deeper.
